  4. Congrats all winners. I am about to head out to get the bus to the city so may not get to comment for a couple of days (the hotel computer needs updating and doesn't like blogger). See the wrist specialist tomorrow afternoon. (head is aching again more than I would like even with meds so may be an interesting trip)
    Happy birthday again.

  16. Wooooohooooo -- congratulations to Susan!!!!!! That's so exciting!!!! And congrats to all the birthday winners.

Thanks for posting the link to Mary's webcast. I watched it all. Super cool and so much fun. Maybe I'll have to get a Facebook account after all. So neat that I could watch it anyway. :-)

LOVED the reading faces link. That was way too much fun.

  17. Congratulations to winners, especially Natalie. God is working all things to the good for you, girlfriend.

Congratulations to Susan on that contract. I'm praying for Jenny.

I'm glad to put Mary's webcast back up. I had technical difficulties when it happened, so maybe I can hear what she says as well as see.

  18. Please excuse the plug for two talented Seekers Myra Johnson and Julie Lessman.

I'm half way through Julie's Romance-ology and I have to say I'm learning so much about how to ramp up emotion!

Myra's When Clouds Roll By is wonderful. If you enjoy reading about the World War 1 era, you'll love this story. I spent a lot of yesterday reading in when I should have been writing.

  19. Wow, stopped by today to join the celebration and wish y'all Happy Birthday -- and I'm officially exhausted! There's so much going on! So many links to check out, so many things to celebrate, so many previous posts to go back and read. Seekerville: You are an amazing resource for writers!

  20. I'm lovin' me some links!

    But most importantly....

    Of course!!!!

Is the part of Mary's webcast where she talks about ME!!!!! still there. And can we fast forward to that??? (I may have already done so a dozen or so times. Not for real, of course, what kind of NARCISSIST would do that?????? )

Oh my stars, imagining happy faces, and Jan Drexler!!!! You won the weekly prize the awesome Kindle bag!

    SUHWEEEET!

I have Macadamia Nut Coffee/Gloria Jean's, and it might replace Pumpkin Spice as my fave. I'm not kidding, this stuff is beyond wonderful!!! (imagine me singing that out, very Julie Andrews. No. Wait.

Do not imagine that, spare yourself the pain.)

    Loving the Weekend Edition!

Cara-mia!!! We love rampant plugs. They rock!

(Ruthy must admit this being guilty of it time and again, after all!)

    Cheers,
    Sue
P.S. Melissa, love the name "Nathan"! Used it for a hero in one of my books, and may have named my son that, but Nathan Mason was a bit much! LOL!

    I love eating.

Okay, I must clean a little. Not major, but some. I have a bunch of edits done.... and I made great progress on continuity book so I'm pumped, but I've got a crazy week ahead so I'm marginalizing my time.

  41. OOOO!

I got 34/36 on the facial cues test. Which is weird, because talking to people really exhausts me. Maybe because our faces are saying something different than our words?

    Happy Canadian Thanksgiving, Susan!

  54. Wow! There are so many winners this month I feel like saying “Congrats” to everyone! What a month! I receive my Amazon gift certificate yesterday from last week’s contests and it was burning a hole in my virtual pocket. So I recycled it into Myra’s “When the Clouds Roll By”. I’ve read many history books about this time period (but I didn’t live it) so I’m really looking forward to seeing what it is all plays out.

I’ll be up late tonight to get an early look at Missy’s blog on ”Do you type The End on the first draft of your manuscript and then live in dread of looking at it again?”

That’s my biggest writing problem! I even have a 53,000 word romance that, until a question came up last week, I had forgotten I even wrote! I feel like after I finish the first draft, I’ve gotten the story out of my system and I’m free to pursue the next big idea!

Writing the first draft is the party. Revising is the hours of clean up afterward. I always thought that writers who enjoyed doing revisions were called published authors.

Can Missy really tell us how to ‘love fixing a manuscript’? I'll settle for not hating it! I haven’t needed a post more than this one in all the years I’ve been trying to write romances. What time is it?

I think there is just about 5 to 6 hours to wait! I wonder how many others have the same problem.

    Vince

I know what I'll be doing this evening while the crew watches football -- I'll be reading all those links. Plus, I want to watch Mary's video. So much to do, I may not have time to cook dinner. Drat. Ahem.

Congrats to all the winners, and congrats again (you can never have too many) to Sue. So much fun to read things like this: Love Inspired Historical author, Jan Drexler.

Tina ... you've done it again. Another outstanding WE. Thank you!
