Things are quiet today on Seekerville...we're nestled all snug in our beds while visions of sugar plums...................
No wait.................
We're probably all either at work or frantically doing some last minute shopping.
So, to fill in, here's a recipe sure to cure all that ails you at Christmastime.
The fastest, easiest, yummiest recipe ever.
I call it Connealy Crunch.
And no, Missy, you can't change the name. You can use the recipe but you can't change the name. What's the point of that? I need to use this recipe to gain fame and power for myself.
It makes a huge batch. Divide it up and take candy to every family get-together you've got planned.
This recipe would fall under the
COOKING FOR DUMMIES banner.
Go for it.
Connealy Crunch
2 pound package white Almond Bark (melted)
Melt in microwave 1 ½ minutes. Stir. Melt 1 ½ minutes. That should be enough. You might need slightly longer. Almond bark doesn’t lose its shape when it melts so you have to stir it to see if its enough. Add:
3 C. Captain Crunch Peanut Butter Cereal
3 C. miniature marshmallows
3 C. Rice Krispies
3 C. mixed nuts
Spread out on waxed paper. Let cool. Break into bite sized pieces.

God bless you all this Christmas
Merry Christmas from the Seekers
I AM going to make this Mary! Yummy! Someone brought "White Trash" to work yesterday. I almost killed myself. It's pretzels, peanuts, 2-3 different kinds of cereal, I don't know what else, and almond bark, I think.

Missy
Wow, that is easy, Mary. Can I substitute chocolate for the almond bark?
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy. My mom used to make something along those lines called "candy pizza" which she'd send to college for us.
ReplyDeleteHere's an easy fudge recipe
3 cups of chocolate chips (I use 2 of semi sweet and one of milk chocolate, then "sample" the remaining chips)
1 can of sweetened condensed milk.
Combine all ingredients in a heavy sauce pan over low heat.
Stir until melted. Careful, do not scorch this. Much sampling needs to be done along the way ;-)
Pour into a pan and allow to cool.
Cut into pieces and if there's any left, serve it to others.
Merry Christmas, everybody!
Loved this recipe! Made it for the office Christmas party -- it was hit. Had some left over for the 4-H Christmas party -- it was a hit. Still had some left over, so made plates with other cookies and gave to friends. STILL had some left over. Gave up poured the rest into a Christmas bag and shared with the staff at my allergist's office.
ReplyDeleteThey all want the recipe. . .
Thank you, my psychotic friend, LOL!
Audra, either you made a LOT of Connealy Crunch, or it wasn't as good as you and Mary are pretending it is! lol
ReplyDeleteIt makes my fillings tingle : )
ReplyDeleteAnn has a great sounding recipe, and it falls smack dab into my cooking expertise : )
ReplyDeleteYum! Mary, this sounds wonderful (and easy!) and I look forward to trying it. Thanks for sharing, and Christmas blessings to you.
ReplyDeletePatti Jo Moore :)
P.S. Everytime I see your name now I think of how friendly you were when I met you at the ACFW conference (by the elevator - - I seemed to meet more people waiting for that elevator-LOL!!).
Yay! Something new to serve at the holiday bash.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary!
And Merry Christmas to you all!
You got me..I have been at work all day and frantically shopping during my lunch hour!!
ReplyDeleteChange it all you want, Melanie. You've still got to call it Connealy Crunch.
ReplyDeleteAUDRA MEANS PSYCHIC
ReplyDeleteJUST FYI
aLL THE Really great meetings happen at the elevator. But not IN the elevator. That'd just be weird. Too big a chance it'll turn into a hostage situation.
ReplyDeleteIt's really delicious, Pam. It just makes a huge, huge batch.
ReplyDeleteI am considering a cookbook.
Two sections.
All the things you can coat with almond bark.
All the things you can pour over those mini-cream puffs. They makes the BEST foundation for strawberry shortcake imaginable. But why NOT hot fudge, huh? why not caramel sauce? Why not ice cream and sliced bananas. You're only limited by your imagination.
Thanks for the recipe, Mary! Connealy Crunch has a GREAT ring to it. LOL!
ReplyDeleteCheryl
I made this recipe a few days before Christmas and split the ingredients in half between vanilla and chocolate almond bark. Can't decide which one is my favorite. But it is VERY addicting!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good going to try it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
