Seekerville Weekend Chocolate Edition

Now wouldn't this make writing more interesting?

(The chocolate keyboard concept by Michael Sholk.)

Milk, dark or white? Which is your favorite?

For health benefits, ask for dark. Dark chocolate contains flavanols which are potent antioxidants. Recent studies show they boost brain cells, reduce cardiovascular disease and lower blood pressure. Studies are now underway to determine the effect of flavanols in fighting cancer. Still not convinced? Check this out..

Science Daily, February 22, 2007. Boosting Brain Power — With Chocolate. “A study led by Professor Ian Macdonald found that consumption of a cocoa drink rich in flavanols — a key ingredient of dark chocolate — boosts blood flow to key areas of the brain for two to three hours. -------So get thee to a dark chocolate! ASAP!

  2. Congratulations, Debra.

Thanks to Laurie for her generosity too!!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and may your chocolate melt in your mouth not in your...um, hand.

  3. I love dark chocolate--for medicinal reasons, of course. I think I'll have a piece of Dove dark chocolate right now to boost my brain power so I can finish the great American novel. Oh, has that already been written by Margaret Mitchell?

  4. I'm a little bit picky about my chocolate after spending a summer in Europe. My favorite is Lindor truffles, the dark chocolate ones, by Lindt. Mmmmm. I only like certain brands of milk chocolate. Dark is best. :-)

But those chocolate shoes really gave me pause. I was imagining eating those things. Would you start with the heel?

  5. Yummy Post, Tina!

Dark chocolate is my favorite but I'll eat milk chocolate too...a little fussier about white.

Actually, I have a dark chocolate Milky Way that's going to be my treat this afternoon for getting alot (I hope!) done on my proposal, thank's to Tina's post about realchocolate.com. My family and boss are having lots of fun with that.

  8. I have to say I've never had a shoe fetish and I hate buying shoes, but the ones you've shown are positively yummy. Wouldn't mind having a drink out of those any day. Edible shoes. Who knew?

Great post Tina. As always, your creativity astounds me.

  9. A chocolate keyboard?

    Yum!

Not so good for productivity, however! lol

  10. How could anyone get work done with a chocolate keyboard? I would only be able to type numbers by the end of the day because everything else would be gone.

  11. I grew up near Pella, Iowa -- founded by the Dutch -- and well remember that yummy chocolate that came in the shape of wooden shoes!

Thanks again for all your work on the weekend edition, Tina!

  14. Can I just be honest here? It really just doesn't matter to me. I like chocolate. All chocolate. I have been known to lick brown paint thinking it might be chocolate. But now, unfortunately, I must look at my keyboard with great disdain wondering why oh why it isn't a much tastier version! Sigh.

  15. LOL, Jenny.
I love all varieties of chocolate, too. :)

  16. Jenny, Jenny, Jenny. You rock. Not only do you have really good music on your web page but your are honest. A trait that is highly under appreciated.

My name is Tina and I keep a can of chocolate frosting at the back of the refrigerator, hidden behind the baking soda box.

  17. Tina,
That explains it! I'm repainting my kitchen cabinets in a milk chocolate color and was wondering why I suddenly had an urge to lick my fingers. Hmmm.... This could be a dangerous project.

  18. lol - Pepper! Too funny. We might need to think twice about painting anything chocolate!

  19. Since chocolate is supposed to have the same chemical reaction as being in love, couldn't we call eating it research? :o)
