Oh, Audra's cover does look good. ;)
ReplyDeleteI pick teal! Normally I'd be a green girl, but I'll go with teal.
Congratulations everyone!
Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteThe blue balloon for me, please.
Congrats to the winners.
ReplyDeleteI pick yellow...this isn't one of those games where you have to sit on the balloon and pop it, is it? Ouch.
Another lovely book to add to my January list along with Tina's book. I will order in December and probably splurge on express shipping. Love the early ordering on eharlequin.com
Peace and happy week to all, Julie
Coffee pot's on.
ReplyDeleteI pick the green balloon.
Internet service has been in and out, driving me nuts, last two days.
Helen

ReplyDeleteCongrats winners! If The Seekers keep this up, it'll be: "Everyone's a winner!". :)

Yeah! What a week of great prizes! Happy Birthday Seekerville - only one more week to go.
ReplyDeleteThe orange balloon was screaming "pick me, pick me", so I picked orange balloon.
plhouston(at)bellsouth(dot)net
Lots lots LOTS of fun! I always smile after reading the weekend edition. I'll pick the LIGHT blue balloon (though pink and purple might fight it out).
ReplyDeleteOh, Renee, he is SWEET with a capital SWEET, isn't he???
ReplyDeleteI mean, seriously...
Sigh.... ;)
Helen, what a pain it is when that little circle just spins and spins and NOTHING COMES UP...
We're Internet junkies but what an amazing machine this is for connecting me wi' youse and info for stories.
A-stinkin'-mazin'
Oh, I want a balloon!!!! A fistfull of balloons, just because.
I served a wedding yesterday, and a funeral/memorial today for the same family, a joy/sad/joy weekend for them.
Mom's safe in the arms of her Lord, and the happy couple donated money to Alzheimers and Parkinsons research instead of favors, to honor those grandparents.
And life goes on.
Teeeeena!!! Nooks at Walmart. Oh, don't you just love the idea free enterprise competition, LOL!
But what's this whole 'sharing' or lending books thing, from Nook to Nook???
Interesting. Or frightening.
And what's the countdown to the release date of TEEEEENA's and Audra's first books, their debut novels, available for sale on e-harlequin.com????
Vince???? We need a day-counter, live on the front page of Seekerville, right next to the toll booth for the Island Ferry Service. (closed on Sundays)
Breakfast is courtesy of Tim Horton's today, and their cappuccino blended with their hot chocolate is to die for.
Really.
Don't forget the whipped topping.
Good morning, Seekerville! Glad to be here on a beautiful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI would love a turquoise balloon just because that color always makes me happy, not because I need a prize. I apparently won a crit from one of you wonderful Seeker ladies. Yay! Thanks so much - I'm excited! :-) Congrats to the other winners too!
Not sure what Ruthy's breakfast spread includes, but I have scrumptious cinnamon rolls warming in the oven.
I finally took the plunge and joined Twitter last night. Now I'll have to look for y'all there!
Leigh
Sqqqquuuuueeeeeeeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteI got the 10 page critique!!!!!!!
*gulp*
Now what to send, what to send....
Thank you soooo much, ladies!!!! And congrats to all the other winners!
Oh, and I pick red. I love red. It's bold. :)
AHHH!!! Look at Audra's book cover.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's GREAT!
Yipee for Audra!
Green balloon - it's my favorite color :-) I prefer a wee bit darker green, but green is very calming. Not that i NEED that or anything.
Seriously, let's just admit that the very idea of a cowboy 'looks good' :-)
Aww Ruthy beat me to breakfast. I was going to offer some apple pancakes just off the skillet. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAnd maple bacon.
Oh well, Ruthy, I'll eat what you brought and leave room for mine. Wonder WHY my clothes are getting tighter? Hmm...
yowza what a cowboy! Renee steeler girl said it for me! they oughta sell posters of these covers!
ReplyDeletewoo hoo I finally won something **happy dancing**!
ok not familiar with Tim Horton's so somebody order for me puh-lease! in the meantime I'll start on hot chocolate with whipped topping(I'll skip the cappucino part since I'm pretty sure that's coffee of some sort and blech with me and coffee!) oooh and some cinnamon rolls.hope they hve lots of that yummy icing on them!
man so bummed! a book I wanna read is available by mail only and I have by Borders coupon in my hot little hands! bummer. oh well I'll have to wait because it'll probably be in the stores by the time it arrives in the mail(oh the book is Emily's Chance by Sharon Gillenwater - I 'discovered' her and Christine Lynxwiler earlier this year) man! all these years I didn't like christian romance and refused to read it because of the few I'd picked up and didn't care for and then read that Sisterhood of the Dropped Stitches and thought 'hmm not so bad' then friend at used book store kept telling me to read Judy Baer and I did and it was cute.then got hold of Brenda Minton's latest at the time and it was like hoo boy a cowboy and a heroine who was a prostitute! can't get much more real than that and now I'm hooked! unfortunately I still get hold of a few that don't do it for me but that's few and far between now it seems like! so thanks for writing all you authors!
man gotta get that cowboy book by Audra! ooh and I think Debra Clopton has a new one in her mule hollow series...ok maybe ya'll need to slow down a bit LOL I'm doing the Dave Ramsey financial peace and may need to enlarge my budget!
ok another cinnamon roll if ya'll insist..did anyone order for me yet?! ;-)
Susanna
aw man I've never had apple pancakes! can we have them tomorrow?! huh huh?!
ReplyDeleteSusanna
I'd like to pick the orange balloon.
ReplyDeleteWOW, Congrats to the winners, including my very own Alley mates! Woo-hoo!!!! So thrilled for you. :D
ReplyDeleteI would totally do the purple balloon, I mean has anyone ever seen my blog? No brainer. :)
caseymh18(@)gmail(.)com
Congrats Winners!!
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like Renee and I might become enemies (at least when it comes to football) since I am picking the
Orange balloon for my football team the Cleveland Browns. (I know I moved to Tx 4 years ago but I grew up a Browns fan.)
In fact my brother gets to go to the Browns game later today. He is so lucky.
Happy Birthday Seekerville. I have had so much fun I am looking forward to this upcoming week.
Oops I forgot to mention my email:)
ReplyDeletefantum2004 AT sbcglobal DOT net
AUDRA!!!! LOVE the cover, hunk and all, girlfriend and cannot WAIT to sink my teeth in ... uh, the book, that is, not the hunk ... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat WE, Teenster, as always, and once again I apologize for not sending my sightings to you -- you always have my back on that, for which I am grateful!!
I'm going to pick the purple balloon even though I know I can't win ... I just like it!
Hugs,
Julie
The party just keeps getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteA Seekerville book of my choice...THAT'S a tough decision. But a fun one! Thank you, Seekerville for all the prizes you're giving away.
Audra, your cover's so "smokin" our hands will get burned while we read it! ; )
I'll choose the orange baloon.
RRossZediker at yahoo dot com
Congratulations to all winners!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the cover of Audra's book and I'm on my way to pre-order.
I choose the green balloon. Thanks.

This party is really rockin' with party games and all! WOW! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteI pick the yellow balloon:)
It's sunny and bright.
Congrats to all winner; isn't this just so much fun?
Blessings to all:)
Somehow, going through a maze to get to someone's petticoats...sounds kinda dirty.
ReplyDeleteShame on you, Tina
Too fun! I'd like the blue balloon, please.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners!
Congrats to all the winners. Hmm...I was raised to go for the underdog, and the red and pink balloons have been equally unpicked thus far, so I think I will take a red balloon as people have been a bit more exuberant about the pink. It also goes with my football team, the Patriots.
ReplyDeleteHolly

ReplyDeleteAll you winners enjoy your loot.

Really?
ReplyDelete“Somehow, going through a maze to get to someone's petticoats...sounds kinda dirty.”
Actually:
That sounds more like the heroic journey of every teenage boy.
Moral Premise:
That which is obtained without effort, trial, and trepidation is not to be greatly valued.
But
That which is gained only with considerable toil, courage, and risk is greatly to be valued.
Discolsure:
The above Moral Premise actually comes from the book. “I Wonder Now if I Should Have Killed that Dragon,” the fictional memoirs of an errant Knight of the Round Table.
*****
"SPOT ON!"
(As we never say in the USA.)
.
I love the term SPOT ON.
ReplyDeleteMadame S, (from the Seeker archives) my old boss says it all the time.
I love it!
Vince, that book sounds quite a amazing. Adding to my TBP (to be purchased list)
Okay that was a joke, right?
ReplyDeleteWho wrote this book?
RUTH:
ReplyDeleteThe Dilemma!
How can we wait for three years for a Seeker’s book to début -- only to have two of them come out on the same day!?
That’s stimulation overload!
I agree with Ruth. For a ‘Double Debut’
There Should Be A Count-Down Counter on the Seeker homepage.
I have Just the Place to Put it:
Fly a Flag with the “Days Left Number” From the palm tree that’s at the end of the rainbow on Seeker Island!
To make this even more symbolic: make the flag from a petticoat! (Not exactly Island wear anyway.)
BTW: There’s Just 37 Days until “The Reacnher’s Reunion” and “Rocky Mountain Hero” are ‘Early Bird Released’ by eHarlequin at 12:01 am on December 1st, 2010.
Also:
If you have the will power to wait thirty needless days for these books to come out in the books stores, well, then you’re a better man than I am.
Vince
Yay! I'm a winner of the surprise book package! Although when my husband heard me gasp, it was because I had misread and thought I was a winner of the first chapter critique. Oh, well....a surprise book package still makes me happy :-)
ReplyDeleteI pick the red balloon!
jprivette1(at)roadrunner(dot)com
We still have critiques to give away Mary. So all is not lost.
ReplyDeleteWhat a jam packed edition today! Whew.
ReplyDeleteI choose the purple balloon - one of my favorite colors.
Thanks for all the wonderful prizes!
Seekerville is the best!

MEGA CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!
ReplyDeleteThanks to Friends of Seekerville for making our birthday celebration so fun.
Cheryl
/hands out homemade cinnamon rolls leftover from Sunday School/
ReplyDeleteUm... I had something else I was going to say but I've not got a clue what it was...
Oh - Nook to Nook lending - as I understand it, you can 'lend' a book you purchased to someone else's Nook software for up to 2 weeks and then they can't access it anymore [and I don't think you can access it while it's 'loaned' out].
I think there was still something else but I don't know what it was. If I remember between edits and laundry, I'll pop back in :).
Carol
Hi Tina:
ReplyDeleteActually, “I Wonder Now if I Should Have Killed that Dragon” is a sequel to “Characters in a Romance” in which archetypal romance characters reminisce about life after “The End”. They tell what they would have done differently. I’m reading a free Kindle book, “The Legends of King Author and his Knights”, by Sir James Knowles, right now for background. IWNIIGHKTD is planned as my next NaNo project starting November first.
However, I am also outlining another book about a writer who goes into an antique shop and buys the last remaining dime novel in existence by a romance author who wrote in the 1880s. The hero just wanted any dime novel to use as an example of archaic writing. However, as he types up the first page for a review, he becomes hooked. The story has everything a modern romance novel should have and before he can help himself, he falls in love with the author.
He tries to learn more about her but she used a pen name. All her other books are lost to history -- although he knows the titles! He laments these more than he does the lost plays of Euripides. He becomes so obsessive in his search to find more about her that the heroine comes to him in the middle of the night to set his mind at rest. (At this point I have to decide if the book is a paranormal – with time travel -- or psychological thriller – she didn’t commit suicide; she was murdered!)
Do you have an opinion on which book I should write for this year’s NaNo? : )
Vince
P.S. I will pick the ‘white’ balloon which you can’t see because it is the same color as the background. (It’s hard to fool me.)
And I’d like a chance to win a chapter review.
vmres (at) swbell (dot) net
You know, Nook to Nook lending sounds just as suspicious as follow the maze to get to someone's petticoats...
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'...
Don't you love balloons??? Grab a fistful whenever you can!!
Thanks for all the kind comments on the cover for Rocky Mountain Hero. Personally, I can't stop looking at him either, LOL!!
Vince? You're in charge of the countdown?? I think we need ANOTHER party in January!!!!
Congrats to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteI pick the purple balloon
Purple!!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great party!!
csdsksds[at]gmail[dot]com
Hey, guys, my family could really use some prayer. We are in the process of moving from NC to Louisiana. My dad is already working down there - has been for 5 months - and it just seems everything is going wrong! My mom fell down the stairs a few weeks ago and hurt her foot; then last week she injured her arm to the point where she couldn't move it at all. AND THEN today my sister stepped over a toy and did something to her foot (she's at the doctor now).
ReplyDeleteWill y'all please keep us in your prayers?
THANKS!
VINCE! Good thing I had already swallowed my tea or I would have soaked my keyboard.
ReplyDeleteI pick red. It's a kick up from pink. It's a throbbing heart. It's the perfect notice me lipstick shade. It's confident. It makes me smile. :) Thank you! kauppatgridcomdotnet
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations winners!
ReplyDeleteI choose PINK.
gasweetheart211[at]netscape[dot]net
Tori Lynn,
ReplyDeleteWill add you and your family to our Seeker prayer list. We are honored to be asked.
IT WAS YOUR BOOK. Well you hooked me Vince. Great premises.
ReplyDeleteI of course think you should write the Knight one.
I pick orange!
ReplyDeletesherrimoseley(at)gmail(dot)com
Wow, what a jam-packed blog. I'm so glad to find you ladies. Happy Birthday! And congratulations on your exodus from Unpubbed Island.
ReplyDeleteI choose the purple balloon (because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and uses the color purple.)
Blessings,
Mary Kay
Hi Audra:
ReplyDeleteI’m doing the countdown on my website right now. 37 Days to Go!
The “Early Bird” party is actually December 1st. The regular party is January 1st. What’s better than one party? Two parties!
Your cover is up now on my site with count down days. Also, I have posted a sample of the first page of a genuine dime novel, “Edna’s Vow”.
http://www.vmres.blogspot.com/
Can’t wait for my AlphaSmart 3000 to arrive in the mail. I’m going to write like a real pro!
Vince
P.S. Tina: I think it will be the Knight book then. I am going to do a S.O.T.P. plot outline for the rest of the night.
Wow, I love parties! Love balloons! One of my grandsons is terrified of them because they might pop. He has a thing with noise. Fireworks scare him. Large cheering crowds scare him. He'd never make it at Seekerville's birthday party.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations winners!! I'm so excited to see who will win the Kindle!!!
Audra, I don't want to wait until January to read Rocky Mountain Hero!
Janet
What an incredible final week of Seekerville celebrating to anticipate! Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible final week of Seekerville celebrating to anticipate! Woohoo! and the green balloon :)
ReplyDeleteWow, No one has attempted the maze?????
ReplyDeleteOr are you too embarrassed to tell us how much time it took???
I went the wrong way. But then started over and went the right way in two minutes. HOORAY
Who can beat that???
Vince you are tooo funny with your teenage boy visions. But you're right. It does sound kind of bad.
I think the apple pancakes sound good for a night time snack. Go for it.

Tori Lynn, we'll be praying for you. Moving is so, so stressful, even in the best of circumstances.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've all had a great weekend! We've been out of town visiting my son at college for parents weekend. A great time!! But then I had to leave him behind. [sniff sniff]
BTW, I pick the purple balloon. I always pick purple if it's available! I saw halloween shows on Food Network today, and one show host was making red velvet cupcakes with purple icing! Love it! Printed the recipe. :)
ReplyDeleteI've missed the party today. Not sure where I've been! lol
