Super Bowl XLV is today, February 6, 2011, at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game is between the
Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.
It's a well known fact that Seekers love football,
but we're also very excited about today because it's the

That's it,
but what would National Day of Uninterrupted Writing be without snacks?
And I say we forgo the chips & dip and go for the good stuff.
Stuffed Strawberries from the gals at From Blah to Ta-Daah!
Let's see...
ReplyDeleteSuper Bowl Sunday.
Here's queso and chips. The little weenie dogs and hot dogs both wrapped in crescent rolls. There's chili - with beans and without. There's also cheese and cold cuts cut into footballs [to go with the football shaped Ritz and Oreos].
There's also a veggie tray.
Cuz you have to have one at a Super Bowl party. Even if it seems out of place.
I'm keeping the Chick-fil-A nugget tray for myself. And my family. And the friends who are coming over later. I don't think 120 nuggets would be enough to feed Seekerville and the rest of us.
Congrats to the winners!!!
I have managed to get some writing done and have a bit of inspiration for later [thank God!]. Mostly I spent the last couple of days trawling the Internet looking for pictures of my characters. I discovered that one of them is Paul Walker from Fast and Furious. He's Ben. That's all there is to it ;). He's the only one quite so famous...
Looks like it's going to be another great week in Seekerville! Thanks, ladies!
Thanks Carol.
ReplyDeleteMMMM crunch crunch
Ready for some good ol D.P. also! Gotta have D.P. since it's from Waco, not far from Big D. Bound to be the official drink of the Super Bowl (well, besides Bud...) :)
Maybe I can get in a bit of writing tomorrow. Sure need to.
THANK YOU Seekerville. I won Audra's book! FANTASTIC!
Looking forward to it!
Just heard Melanie Dickerson saw her new cover, but she's holding out on us! Can't wait...
Go Packers!
All I have to say is GOOOOO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO~ Renee
Thanks for the chili (with beans), Carol. It's delish.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners!
And what rock have I been hiding under? I didn't know Melanie sold another book. Congrats, Melanie! What? When? To whom?
Oh, yeah. I forgot. You are after all Steeler Girl. This is like going to the ball for you Cinderella.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! I'm looking forward to the new releases! Congratulations Seekers.
ReplyDeleteA Day of Uninterrupted Writing! It's official. Although I do like to have at least one junk food break...
Those strawberry things look yummalicious, Tina.
Congratulations to the winners this week. Once again another big week coming up--need I say it? You guys are good!
I'm bringing Philly Cheese steaks to the table, AND...
ReplyDeleteHosting a 1/2 Superbowl Party for my daycare kids and parents.
Yup. We gather, eat, watch the Puppy Bowl and kitten half-time show (the kids do, anyway!) and they all go home at half-time to tuck the youngsters into bed. We start with Philly Cheese steaks and go from there...
And punch. You can't have a proper fancy party without punch. :)
Tina, I love the pic. Oh my stars, stinkin' adorable! Just love it.
I'm leaving pumpkin pie bars for snacking. And I'm wishing I had an uninterrupted writing day... Next week. For certain.
Hope it's a great game for all and that Dallas survives the weather and throws a grand party. A little dicey down there right now, they're not exactly used to this weather. Talk about an understatement!
Thanks for another great weekend edition. Lovely company while I munch on brekkie. :-)
ReplyDeleteIs it Super Bowl Sunday already? I remember when the game happened just after New Year...oooo, I hate dating myself, LOL!
ReplyDeleteUninterupted Day of Writing sounds grand. Hmm maybe I can switch that to Day of Reading?? I'm so behind on entries to be read, let alone the books I want to read--books by Seekers and friends!
Thanks for the chili CarolM and the queso! Love the stuff. Philly Cheese Steaks? I can see my breakfast today is NOT going to be very traditional, LOL!
Great post as usual, Tina!
Renee? I heard the Steel workers are miffed because the mills won't shut down for the Super Bowl. How ocmpletely thoughtless of those mill owners!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners. Looks like next week will be another great week! I am a Cleveland Browns fan however I am rooting for the Steelers tonight!! See everyone next week! Oh and I brought my chili cheese dip and some sodas. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners. Next week looks like one not to miss (like every other week, of course LOL).
ReplyDeleteAnd I just have to say, I just finished "Wanted: A Family," and LLOOVVEEDD it!! PREORDER, people. DO IT!
Love, love, love Ruthie's new cover.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners.
Aw man, Teenster, what a SUPER post!!! Yeah, yeah, I know I'm probably the only one corny enough to say that, but it's the day for corn, right?? Corn tortilla chips with Buffalo Chicken Dip, Corny Dogs, Shrimp and Corn Chowder ...
ReplyDeleteThe football pic is drop-kick adorable!!!! I swear you could give Keith a run for his money with your talents, Tina!!HIGH FIVE to all the winners this week -- YOU ROCK!!!
I've got mini rye pizzas, Buffalo Chicken Dip and a sausage/cheese/fruit plate in the fridge for this afternoon for both Seekerville and here, so GO STEELERS!!!! (In honor of Renee ... :))
And The National Uninterrupted Day of Writing??? I WISH!!!!
Hugs,
Julie
A Super Bowl writing kind of day. I like it! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners!!
Hi Ruth:
ReplyDeleteI made Philly Cheese steaks last night. I always cook these myself. I think a New Yorker has a natural edge!
I hope you fired bell peppers and onions and that the steaks were not more than a 1/8 of an inch thick.
I have to be for the Steelers because they have the best owners in all sports.
Vince
Special Note:
ReplyDelete“Wanted: A Family” is available to download or order for immediately delivery right now at eHarlequin. Wonderful book.
I just finished “A Hope Undaunted” , a perfect book if you are snowbound, and it has one of my all time favorite romance scenes in it. Can’t wait to post it!
Vince
I won Audra Harders first book! Yeah! I can't wait to read it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to all the winners this week!

ReplyDeleteLOVE the picture of those "familiar-looking" football players! And I'm THRILLED to win the marketing book--Thanks SO much!! ~ Yum - - the food today sounds wonderful (as usual!) and I'm tossing in some Peach Punch (made with Georgia peaches, of course!) and some "Double chocolate" chip cookies - Enjoy! :) Blessings, Patti Jo
ReplyDeleteYummy food today! Everyone getting ready for the game?
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the comercials!
Loved Casual Fridays, Tina! What a hoot!
Stuffed strawberries?
ReplyDeleteI think that's a little wimpy for Super Bowl food.
Still, I'd probably eat them. :)
Gulp. Oh my, someone is going to read the first five pages of my first WIP. I'm scared! :O Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteWay to WRITER UP, Jill!
ReplyDeleteNo pain, no gain. No risk, no reward. No bloodshed, no....
Okay someone fill in the last blank for me .....
Crossword Puzzle Queen???
It's not WIMPY for National Day of Uninterrupted Writing, MAAAARRRRRREEEEEEEE!!!!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. Church, dinner at mils, with the whole fam, except for one, who had to work.
ReplyDeleteNap, and now church again. I'll check back in later.
Don't anyone injure themselves around the buffet while watching football, okay?
Tina, just watched the ad.
ReplyDeleteIt's so silly. :)
I don't want to imagine it for real. lol
OH, I love the photo of you football players!! But there's one I can't figure out! I'll keep looking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a game! Just a couple of minutes left to go...
Renee, I knew you'd be cheering your Steelers! My BIL is a huge fan. I bet you're biting your nails right now.
ReplyDeleteIt was a hard fought game and I'm sad we lost but thank you all so much for brightening my day by cheering for my team!
ReplyDeleteXOXO~ Renee
