  4. Looks like a great week!
    Congrats winners!!!

I particularly looking forward to Ruthy's post on Tuesday - because it's going on now in my family.
Plus, working with kids and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families makes me want to incorporate the characteristics of strength, hope, and 'out of the box' thinking into my novels.
Thanks ladies for all you do and the encouragement you give.
    Happy Easter!

  10. Here's coffee if anyone still needs it.

Another storm last night. Didn't lose our electricity this time, but did lose internet. It's finally back.

Next weeks sounds like another good one.

  11. I'm so excited that I'm going to get to see Debby and Missy this weekend, in my own hometown!!! Yay me!!! I have the most awesome medieval-themed basket to give away at the luncheon. One lucky person gets to take it home. And at least 8 people will get a free copy of my book, The Healer's Apprentice.

    I'm excited.

But it's also going to be a sad day, because last Thursday one of our members, a very sweet, smiling, prolific lady, Beverly Barton, passed away. She will be so missed, and that's an understatement. Author of over 70 books, wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be VERY missed.

But Sunday is coming, right? Resurrection Day is tomorrow, which just reminds us that death is not the end. We will see each other again in heaven. God is good, and his reward is great indeed.

  13. Oh, happy Easter everyone! Huge hugs and wishes that I was there to help those who've struggled with storms and storm damage. I'm so stinkin' sorry!

Cathy, you're such a blessing! And yes, FIRST! ;)

And Pepper knows that my life is reflecting hers right now, a fact that's not only happening for many Seekers, but for so many of you. Joanne, I'm hearing you and hugging you from upstate.

    We can cry together.

    Work together.

    Plan together.

Where two or more are gathered in my name...

    Amazing words. Amazing grace.
Amazing God. We celebrate Easter joined in joy and sorrow, gladness and tribulation.

    Steel magnolias, one and all.

    Hallelujah! He is risen.

Melanie, I can't wait to see you on Friday! And Debby, too. I haven't seen her in several weeks!

It was so sad to hear about Beverly. She's always been so fun and vibrant. I know your RWA group must have been hit hard.

  17. Just home from the Vigil Mass...

I love Easter. I love the traditions, the walk of faith, the smell of incensed, perfumed air.

    And candles! I love candles.

    AND....

we didn't burn the church down with either the candles or the incense, so that was good!

Must do food in the morning. Anybody hungry, come on by!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ha, Ruthy! I'm headed off to Easter Vigil in two hours... which will be 11:30 PM my time. Oh man, I would never attempt a midnight Easter service except that two 'lost' teens who have raised themselves, and then been adopted by an elderly couple in our church, are being baptized together. I'm bringing a handbag full of Kleenex!! It's been a long, hard, lonely road for them, and this brother and sister feel like they're finally home at 18 and 19. HE IS RISEN!
    Have a great Easter everybody!

  19. Happy Easter everyone! And I hope you all bid on the Seekerville auction!
