ReplyDeleteThanks Seekers! The Grammar book was the first one I put on my new 'craft books' shelf in the book case :D.
Yes, I'm still trying to organize my office :p.
Congrats to all the other winners too! Some great stuff out there!
I've got biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon for anyone who wants some :).
Christmas coffee is here!! Help yourself.
ReplyDeleteOh, goody, I get another book!! Rounds out the week in style.
Looks like another great week ahead.
Helen
Thanks for your patience. I didn't leave work until 7pm ..so was a TAD late!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, everyone!
ReplyDeleteBiscuits and gravy!! NOW I'm starving and it's 2AM here. What am I gonna do? :D
ReplyDeleteYikes, leaving work at 7PM? That sounds awful! I liked working in libraries because of the set hours. We just kicked the patrons out at closing time. :)
Good morning and happy weekend! Thanks for all the great info and links. I loved Jim Butcher's "The Most Important Thing."
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about the NYE party!!! What a perfect way to ring in the New Year -- no Spanx required.
Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners - what a GREAT WE, Teenster! Mary's Monday blog post title TOTALLY cracked me up - I'm especially looking forward to that post! Can't wait for the Christmas party either! WOO :)
ReplyDeleteHope y'all are having a great weekend! We got our Christmas tree yesterday so hope to get some decorating done today. This is actually pretty early for our family! :)
ReplyDeleteHelen, thanks for the coffee! Carol, thanks for my favorite--biscuits and gravy!
Tina, thanks for the links!
Anne, there's nothing like a party in the privacy of your own home and pj's, is there? :)
ReplyDeleteAh, Teena, we now have pics of your amazing non-cooking soup at the CAFE!!!!
ReplyDeleteRuthy's technical in-expertise is showing once again.
Dagnabbit! But you're up and running and your post made me run out and buy some Bear Creek soup mix at Wal-Mart yesterday. In hopes of inspiring Dave to NON-COOK, too! ;)
Oh my stars, what a fun week we had, and I'm over-the-top looking forward to next week! I love Cheryl St. John to pieces, and Mary Connealy always gives me GOOD REASON to make fun of her.
And we know that makes my day!
Hey, we're launching "Bake A Memory" Day today in upstate NY. The older grandkids are gathering here in an hour to bake cookies... part of my 'get back to simple Christmas' campaign!
I'll stop by with cookies later, and you will (no doubt!) love 'em!
Teeeena! Thank you for contest update and WE.... You rock, chickie... And good girl not letting my regular slip-ups DRIVE YOU CRAZY.
My family is not as forgiving. ;)
Oh,our New Year's Eve party..... All I can say is we are the place to be...
ReplyDeletecozy fire....
writing stuff....
punch....
champagne.....
food...

conversation!
I'm so there.
I think the Seekerville New Years Eve party is going to put all others to shame. I'll be here with my jammies on!
ReplyDeleteRuthy, that simple Christmas thing is contagious - I blogged about it this week on classicathome.blogspot.com and made up new words to an old classic:
Have a thrifty, frugal Christmas!
It’s the best time of the year,
I don’t know, if there’ll be snow
But the family will have cheer!
Have a thrifty, frugal Christmas,
And when you see your children smile,
You’ll know they’ll remember this
For years and years with bliss.
Ho ho, the Spirit’s glow
Shining in your home,
This is what you’re waiting for,
The Savior Christ has come!
Have a thrifty, frugal Christmas!
And in case you didn’t hear,
You can simply
Have a holly, jolly Christmas
This year!
Have a great weekend, everyone! We're heading up into the Hills to cut our tree - and yes, we have a permit to do it :) - and then a chili supper at church afterwards.
Congrats winners! Looking forward to the party.
ReplyDeleteJan, nice lyrics.
Happy weekend, Seeker friends!
SUPER CONGRATS to all the winners and GREAT line-up coming up!!! Great WE, as always, Teenster!!
ReplyDeleteGood news is the Christmas decorations have been up for almost two weeks. Bad news? They probably won't come down till February ... :|
HAPPY WEEKEND, ALL!!!
Hugs,
Julie
Biscuits and gravy? Oh, Carol! Yum!
ReplyDeleteWe could start a discussion on what KIND of gravy?
Brown gravy
Sausage gravy (aka Sawmill gravy)
Tomato gravy? (Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!)
Chocolate gravy (Same here)
Round steak gravy and rabbit gravy(Double yum, except not for breakfast)
Any other kind to put on a homemade biscuit?
Oooh, Pam! Sausage gravy for breakfast when there's eggs on the side...and grits! I've been hungry for grits!
ReplyDeleteOkay, back to reality. Orange juice and toast for me. Sigh.
Missy, I made a deal with my son and his girlfriend last night.
ReplyDeleteThey're going to put up the tree Sunday night if I make them potato soup. Yay!
I think I got the best end of the deal.
I enjoy decorating it, but I can't put it up by myself. It's just too big and bulky.
Probably going to decorate the mantle today and put out my village.
Argh -- I missed most of last week's posts but I played catch up today. Love Ruthy's challenge. I always thought you had to be a member of the Salvation Army Church to be a bell ringer! Who knew? I never go out for New Year's Eve. At last I'll have a party to go too! LOL.
ReplyDeletePam, what a deal! Tell them to drive over here. I'll make them anything they want!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners!
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to look a lot like Christmas, guess I'll have to drag the tree out. I need to figure out where we stored it last year. If it weren't for the kids I could so not decorate. One year we tried to talk them into a string of lights shaped as a tree on the wall. Nope, it didn't work.
The New Years Eve party sounds like so much fun! and Cheryl St. John will be in Seekerville next week! whoo hoo I love this place.
New Year's Eve... Yeah... Gonna be at the in-laws. Dunno how late we'll be there but I'll see what I can do from my phone ;).
ReplyDeleteAt Chick-fil-A we had chicken gravy. Yum. Then corporate found out and made them discontinue it. But there was quite the broo-ha-ha among the breakfast regulars who LOVED it. They found a way around it ;).
Wow! What a boat-load of info! Great links, gals. :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners! :D
Missy, teenagers could make a bundle hanging out their "decorating" shingle at Christmas if they were savvy enough, couldn't they? lol
ReplyDeleteOr, if nothing else, get fed really well!
I'd pay to have my house cleaned up for Christmas.
Shucks! I AM paying.
My nephew's wife has been helping me out the last couple of weeks, and she's a little dynamo who knows how to get the job done.
Glad the boy married her! lol
MMM Christmas coffee. I usually don't do much caffeine but I might have to hit it a little harder to catch all of the good stuff coming up next week. Plus good things at the CAFE and more blogs to visit.
ReplyDeleteGreat poem/song Jan Drexler. Have a good time in the hills.
Yay, Carol! Glad you have your priorities in order! ;>D Grammar Queen sends her greetings and nod of approval.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners. Thank you so much for the book by Sandi Rog. I'm looking forward to reading it. :)
ReplyDeleteNext week souds great. And that New Year's Eve party? Can hardly wait!
Loved seeing the Christmas decorations on the WE today. We just finished decorating our home, except for the real tree we'll get when hubby feels better (under the weather--not a place I'd recommend being).
I read a couple of the articles mentioned today. Great! Rachelle Gardners' and Jim Butcher's were great! Stay warm tonight, everyone!
I am thrilled to have won Pam's book. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMissy, I'm with you. No tree in sight. I even made a plan and said we would put it up Thanksgiving weekend. Promised myself to have Christmas gifts wrapped and under there, too!
I did enter the Golden Heart. Not real hopeful but entering was an achievement. And I owe it to that Seekerville post!
Cathy
oh dear. I just checked out that Romance Cover film shoot. For research purposes only as would the rest of us nice Christian women.
ReplyDelete*** I GOT WALT MUSSELL'S NOVELLA TODAY!!!!!
Thank you Seekers and Walt! Cool.
Congratulations to the winners. Hey, I saw that Ramona was under the weather this week after Tuesday, What did ya'll do to her?
So be patient. Her inbox must be bursting!
I am pretty sure I'll be partying with Seekerville on New Year's Eve.
Debra, you are sooo funny!!!
ReplyDeleteCathy!! Woot for you, no guts, no glory~~
Yay! I actually made it here every day this week--or pretty much I think. ;-) Looks like next week will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteWheee! Since this is the place I get to tell all my good news, I got a call today that I got first place in the Launching A Star contest, single title category!
ReplyDeleteThat's so encouraging because I'd just about given up on that ms. And now it has new life thanks to the cntest circuit. :D
Having hot chocolate, listening to Christmas music, and watching my kids destroy... I mean, decorate a ginger bread house.
Have a wonderful weekend, you all!
Cathy! Good for you! I just couldn't get my self to take that step. I think the entry fee helped a lot, but mostly I was just scared. :O
ReplyDeletePraying for your success!!
Happy weekend everyone!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to have won Ruth's Yuletide book. I almost bought it yesterday in our department store, but something told me to wait! Yay!
Congratulations on your first place final, Virginia! That's great!
Cheers everyone,
Sue
Congratulations to all the winners this week!
ReplyDeleteOnly 3 weeks until Christmas!!! :) 22 sleeps left! :)
Casey, you are such a good Seekervillian.
ReplyDeleteVirginia, congratulations. You STAR YOU~!~~
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Tina! My kids were REALLY excited about the paperweight that's coming in the mail.
Although, I'm sad I never entered the 'Finally a Bride' contest. And now it's too late! :D
Whoo-hoo Virginia! Raising a glass of milk and a Triple Chocolate Oreo Cookie Ball in your honor.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I made these tonight for the Mamaw's 93rd birthday party and they are G.O.O.D.
Messy to make, but good in the end!
Oreo Cookie balls? You need to do Yankee Bell Cafe. I want to seeeee these in action.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm a winner!!
ReplyDeleteAND you guys are kind enough to throw me a party? On my birthday?
Love it!
Most people just throw a New Years Eve Party ;-)
Peps the Pirate! You were born on New Year's Eve?
ReplyDeleteYep! Another addition to my er.....uniqueness. :)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, Oreo Cookie balls seems TAILOR made for the Yankee-Belle cafe!
ReplyDeleteI'm supposed to make them again for Darin's FBLA (it's not called FBLA in college, PLA I think), so I'll try to get the camera out and take pics of this melt in your mouth chocolate goodness in the making!
The kid in me loves to see my name on the WE. Yay!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it's been a long time since something free landed in my mailbox.
Off to email my addy to Seekerville.
Sent my second query in :).
ReplyDeleteYeah, just pushed the send button on that query!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Virginia!
Got my fingerless gloves on, time to get back to the WIP
YAY for queries! I just love how doors open the more we trust and take that step.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Virginia! wow!
ReplyDeleteand does anyone else think that photo of Ruthy looks like she has a big wide hat on with a big feather in it?
sure, my eyes are shot from bifocals and computer screens but it's sort of a Puss'n'boots/Three musketeers thing. I need to enlarge that photo and see where I went wrong.
