Wednesday was "HO-HO-HO!! FUNNY YOU SHOULD SAY THAT ... or Putting Humor in our Writing!" with Revell author Julie Lessman. Winner of a signed copy of one of Julie's books or a top CBA book from her library AND a detailed handout from Ruth Axtell Morren's and Julie's ACFW workshop, "A Kiss is NOT Just a Kiss!" is Marissa. Thursday Seekerville welcomed back author Caroline Fyffe today with her post, Writing a Novel is Like Buying a Horse. Winner of Caroline's latest release, Texas Twilight, a western historical romance available in ebook is Vince.
Friday Barbour author Janet Lee Barton blogged about "Learning to be Flexible." Winner of a print copy of I'd Sooner Have Love is Diane Ashley.
Monday: Love Inspired author Missy Tippens will be your hostess. Come chat about "Anchoring Yourself in the Real World While Living in Your Story World." Missy's author copies just arrived! Tuesday: Versatile and prolific Harlequin author Abby Gaines is globe-trotting-guest-blogging today and she's going to chat about her new Love Inspired Historical release, The Earl's Mistaken Bride. Abby is living proof that not every woman likes to be branded and that talent and perseverance run the gamut with a big publisher like Harlequin. ReplyDeleteI made Ruthy's maple fudge from the Yankee-Belle cafe. I don't know where it went. It was here... and then there was just the pan, with some smudges and crumbs in the bottom!
And poor Ramona Richards. I guess I didn't have to hurry to send in that proposal! I can't imagine having 200 e-mails to sift through. Praying for a quick recovery!

Loved this WE. I am soooooo going to do a book tree this year!!!!!!! How cool is that??? And I loved the presentation on body language. Very engaging...but did anyone notice that the presenter kept touching her face and that's supposed to be a sign of less power? I'm going to people watch in a whole different way now.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking on paninni's..the deli guy told me how to make a great one. Salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone and sweet Italian peppers. So I bought everything on the list.

And we are trying EVERY IMAGINABLE thing for paninis and it's tax-deductible because Major Brett Stanton makes paninis for folks in his convenience store at the Interstate juncture near Jamison, New York... ergo, Ruthy has to learn how to do it in upstate!

A Book Christmas tree!!! I am SO doing this!!!
ReplyDeleteI spent 11 hours, yes, 11!!! yesterday, cleaning, destroying, burning old tax receipts, magazines, boxes.
Since dh (a carpenter!) doesn't have time (uh-huh...) to build me an office, I'm turning the breakfast room into one. Still got a long way to go, but getting there.
I'm making this tree for my new office!!! Hmmm, only one hour until church time, don't think I can get it done before then.... lol
Love it, love it, love it!!!
Speaking of my new office, that 11 hours was just yesterday. Many hours have been spent the last two weeks into organizing the paper chaos that's been builidng here for the last several years. I am a paper/book/mail packrat!
ReplyDeleteI bought a gorgeous computer armoire for 1/2 price last week. But after they delivered it, I woke up at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep.
Finally, I realized what was worrying me. As beautiful as the armoire is, it's not practical, and it's something I will probably keep for the next 30 years.
After tossing and turning for 2 hours, I decided to call the furniture store and tell them the problem. The owner agreed to pick it up and I'm going to get an L shaped workstation instead. It's going to cost more, since this piece was so deeply discounted, but in the long run, I'll be much more satisfied.
And, I'll be able to sleep!
Pam, you are so right. I had a computer armoire. Gorgeous and impractical. Got rid of it. Have a big second hand cherry wood desk now with drawers.
