  4. Haha! Those red stockings are totally cute! Don't you just love photoshop??

I made Ruthy's maple fudge from the Yankee-Belle cafe. I don't know where it went. It was here... and then there was just the pan, with some smudges and crumbs in the bottom!

And poor Ramona Richards. I guess I didn't have to hurry to send in that proposal! I can't imagine having 200 e-mails to sift through. Praying for a quick recovery!

I'm mailing out all of last week's books today so the first sixteen have them before Christmas! I love me a good Christmas book before Christmas! And after! God has truly blessed us here in Seekerville.

    I'm just sayin'...

  9. LOL!!! The "make a book" Christmas tree article is ADORABLE!!! Gosh, I could do that, except with paperbacks, and have a forest of tress!!

    Great WE, Teenster, as always!!

SUPER CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS AND HAPPY WEEKEND, ALL!!

    Hugs,
    Julie

  12. I am pretty sure I passed several Seekervillians while shopping in down town Seekerville today, but the crowds were so heavy I can't be sure.

    Happy Weekend to you all.

  13. Loved this WE. I am soooooo going to do a book tree this year!!!!!!! How cool is that??? And I loved the presentation on body language. Very engaging...but did anyone notice that the presenter kept touching her face and that's supposed to be a sign of less power? I'm going to people watch in a whole different way now.

  14. Congratulations to all the winners!

Hope everyone enjoys the last weekend before Christmas!!!

  15. Thanks for the great WE, and congratulations to all the winners!

I DID see you downtown, Tina. Isn't it crazy out there? I stopped by the cafe for a panini and a bit of a rest before tackling the rest of my shopping...

Virginia, I'm trying the Maple Fudge this afternoon. It sounds like it's going to be worth the effort.

Of course, Ruthy's recipes are always worth the effort :)

    Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

  18. Speaking on paninni's..the deli guy told me how to make a great one. Salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone and sweet Italian peppers. So I bought everything on the list.

    Never grocery shop hungry.

I bought Ramona Richards, chocolate croissants in the freezer section. You let them rise, slather butter on top and bake.

  19. You will love the fudge. I promise. Scout's honor!

And Teeeena, that sounds great. Like a "Godfather" sub from D'Bella's here in Rochester. Awesome blend of flavors.

And we are trying EVERY IMAGINABLE thing for paninis and it's tax-deductible because Major Brett Stanton makes paninis for folks in his convenience store at the Interstate juncture near Jamison, New York... ergo, Ruthy has to learn how to do it in upstate!

    This is a win/win/win/win. ;)

Brett is the wounded and "I Want Him Now, I'll Fix Him" hero in "His Mistletoe Family" due out in December 2012.

    You. Will. Love. This. Man.

    Christina, praying!

  20. A Book Christmas tree!!! I am SO doing this!!!

I spent 11 hours, yes, 11!!! yesterday, cleaning, destroying, burning old tax receipts, magazines, boxes.

Since dh (a carpenter!) doesn't have time (uh-huh...) to build me an office, I'm turning the breakfast room into one. Still got a long way to go, but getting there.

I'm making this tree for my new office!!! Hmmm, only one hour until church time, don't think I can get it done before then.... lol

Love it, love it, love it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Speaking of my new office, that 11 hours was just yesterday. Many hours have been spent the last two weeks into organizing the paper chaos that's been builidng here for the last several years. I am a paper/book/mail packrat!

I bought a gorgeous computer armoire for 1/2 price last week. But after they delivered it, I woke up at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep.

Finally, I realized what was worrying me. As beautiful as the armoire is, it's not practical, and it's something I will probably keep for the next 30 years.

After tossing and turning for 2 hours, I decided to call the furniture store and tell them the problem. The owner agreed to pick it up and I'm going to get an L shaped workstation instead. It's going to cost more, since this piece was so deeply discounted, but in the long run, I'll be much more satisfied.

And, I'll be able to sleep!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Pam, you are so right. I had a computer armoire. Gorgeous and impractical. Got rid of it. Have a big second hand cherry wood desk now with drawers.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Pam, I agree. You were wise to change your mind. Work space has to be about making our lives easier... Space for notes, for writing, for mailings, for stock, for a Connealy Calf and a Ruthy puppy...

    Organization is CLUTCH.

(This is as I've been turning the attic back into the office for three months... January, for sure. :)

At least the guest bedrooms are clean. Seriously, what more could anyone ask?
