ReplyDeletep.s. Oh my!! Just realized I posted the FIRST comment, LOL! I'm usually the "late arrival" ~ But I'm happy to be out of lurkdom now that my life has "calmed down" a little. Hugs, PJ ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst is good, Patti Jo.
ReplyDeleteYay CatMom got the first comment this time, way to go!!! Congrats to ALL the winners! There's so much to win and learn on Seekerville, LOVE it! The Princess Bride post with Ruth was my favorite this week, but I'm blessed by everyone who posts here :)
ReplyDeleteI DEFINITELY want chocolate, what a great way to celebrate valentines!!
Thank you for listing all those blogs and upcoming events, lots to look forward to here :)
Have a great weekend, Seekerville!
I want chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI just read Mary's short read. I have the overwhelming urge to get a blanket and cover up.
Do any of you know the song "Little Arrows" that was sung in the sixties by Leapy Lee?(I'm not that old. I had an aunt who gave us her old records.)Makes a great Valentine or cupid song.
LOL Connie! I just read Mary's short read also, good stuff :) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteA delightful HEARTfelt WE, Tina. Good one!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners.
I'd love some chocolate but... there's a nice supply courtesy of my fabulous hubby, so - someone else - ENJOY!
It's been snowing here and c-c-c-cold too. Brrrrr. Good weekend to WRITE by the fire!
Yeah! I won Mary's book, though I probably had an unfair advantage blabbering in the comments like a hundred times.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm saying this, but throw me in for the chocolate. I never was a chocoholic until I was pregnant with my son, the bambino in the womb craved it, and I got into the habit. Addicted now.
I want chocolate!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Connie Queen, I have to go check out that song. Maybe it's on youtube? My kids are going to the nursing home on Monday to hand out Valentine's Day cards (home made, they're so crafty!) and sing some songs. We're singing 'A Bushel and a Peck' and 'Tomorrow' from Annie... and some other old timey ones, but we're looking for more.
There are so many old people that don't get visitors. :( And after we're there, they're glad to get a little peace and quiet, haha!
Congrats, winners. : ) Next week looks like a great Valentine's Day line-up.
ReplyDeleteNeed I say it? I want chocolate! ; )
Whitney
OH WOW!!! I'm thrilled to have a new Mary book! (I can do kindle, remember...) YEEEEEHAAAAAWWWWWW~
ReplyDeleteThe moral premise to the moral premise is:
talking about it leads to confusion but doing the work leads to success.
I'm really looking forward to the discussion on motivation in plots, too.
Hey, Tina, how's that tea? white chocolate, really? yum.
"And thanks for the link to attributive clause abuse," she murmured as she drank cold coffee and let it dribble down her chin.
I want chocolate!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners! Great WE, Tina. Gonna come back and read more later. :)
Congratulations to the winners! Woo!Hoo!

ReplyDeleteI WANT CHOCOLATE!
ReplyDeleteWait, no, my son was using my computer again! That was me! Don't give my chocolate to that absconder!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading Mary's short read, I'll never look at Valentine's Day the same way again...
ReplyDelete...blood, death, wings, paint...
I'll stick to chocolate.
(Did I say "I want chocolate" yet? Do we only get to say it once a day?)
Congrats to all the winners!
I'm doing a baking day today - cookies, bread...maybe even a pie or two. Anyone who drops by can have some :)
I don't know whether I should laugh or cry over Mary's Valentine essay. I don't think I'll explain it quite that way to the kids that visit my library on Tuesday -- and I'll definitely veto the visuals now. ROFL. Great weekend edition, Seekerville! Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners!
ReplyDeleteWaving to Patti Jo!
Loved Emily Rodmell's article on switching from secular to insp. Thanks for providing the URL, Tina.
Chocolate and romance...what every woman wants! :)
Our church is hosting a dinner dance for couples this evening. Prior to the festivities, we'll renew our wedding vows. Over 400 folks have made reservations to attend. Should be a lovely night!

Happy Weekend Before St. Valy's Day, all!!
Congratulations to the winners! The twins and I just had a tea party - vanilla wafers and pink lemon aid. Chocolate would have been nice but there wasn't any on hand. We love chocolate.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be making Tina's Heart Brownie recipe on Tuesday... can't wait :)
Now to go read Mary's short story. Happy Saturday everyone.
Congrats to all the winners!!
ReplyDeleteI want chocolate!
My dear writer friend Jess Koschnitzky [sp? I'm on drugs still - don't ask me to spell ;)] sent me brownies and oreo ball thingies :D.
YUM!
And now... Back to convelescing. DH is making me a choco chip milkshake and I'm reading Ruthy books atm. Followed by Pat Simmons book [from when Julie had her on a couple weeks ago - it and Denise Hunter's Accidental Bride and Princess Bride showed up yesterday :D].
Have a great weekend all!
Congratulations to this weeks winners!
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed all of the short reads and I'm going to go read Mary's next, then off to Yankee Belle!

I'm always up for a chocolate drawing.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of chocolate, there is a wonderful brownie recipe in the Yankee Belle Cafe.

ReplyDeleteI WANT CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut then, I always want chocolate! Love, love, love chocolate. Can't help it. I love it. And darn it, I think it loves me too.
And Mary, I want to know how your book signing went! At the chocolate dream shop! The shop that I want to go to before I die!
ReplyDeleteDebra, I read your comment and thought to myself, "What on earth does that even mean?" I thought maybe it was the drugs you're taking, but then I remembered it was CAROL on drugs, not you.
ReplyDeleteSo, on to the links... and WOW! Funny and... yes, informative. I had to read it out loud to my daughter and we laughed ourselves silly.
But I also have a very vague sense of worry and want to immiedately go examine my last draft. :O
Debra is such a quick study!!
ReplyDeleteI still want chocolate :D. I have some. Not enough. Can you ever have enough chocolate?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Mary, how did your book signing at the chocolate place go?!
You really liked my short read?
ReplyDeleteI was a bit afraid you might all be coming with the tar and feathers.
Though I was hoping you'd be laughing hard enough I could get away.

I am still in a bit of a daze from the book signing. I drove home VERY CAREFULLY I didn't want to get a speeding ticket because I'm pretty sure that chocolate was mood altering and who knows how I'd have come out on a breathalyzer test.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great signing. I had it with Vicky DeCoster an author and a humor blogger from Omaha. This was all her idea.
She was really fun.
And along with other great guests, Dawn Ford, a friend and Seekervillager, stopped in then Vicky, Dawn and I had a two hour lunch during with we talked (gasp) writing.
You can learn more about Vicky on her blog
Wacky Wommanhood
The chocolate is raised to an artform. Wow.
And it's called (to read it) stam, like HAM, right? Chocolatier
Chocolatier like muskateer?
Oh no. I asked how it's pronounced and he said it's STAWM and then the next work, well, Chock (the first syllable is something like Shock...and it gets more confusing from there.
I think Amsterdam is involved.
You know, now that I've had to think, I realize I should have bought a box or chocolate or two or three or fifteen to give away on Seekerville.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry!
I'm so far from this story now.
And I only got enough for MYSELF!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
BTW Patti Jo aka CatMom I'm still so glad you came up to me at the ACFW conference...we were all waiting and waiting and waiting for the limo we ordered so politely, as directed, only to be left on the curb for an HOUR.
ReplyDeleteI love meeting Seeker friends.
And when I say 'limo' I mean minivan
ReplyDeleteAfter I spewed my Diet Pepsi on the keyboard at the SHOCKING IMAGES I really loved your little essay, Mary.
ReplyDeleteCongratualtions to the winners! I also need to say I LOVE Chocolate!
