Do any of you know the song "Little Arrows" that was sung in the sixties by Leapy Lee?(I'm not that old. I had an aunt who gave us her old records.)Makes a great Valentine or cupid song.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I'm saying this, but throw me in for the chocolate. I never was a chocoholic until I was pregnant with my son, the bambino in the womb craved it, and I got into the habit. Addicted now.

ReplyDeleteAnd Connie Queen, I have to go check out that song. Maybe it's on youtube? My kids are going to the nursing home on Monday to hand out Valentine's Day cards (home made, they're so crafty!) and sing some songs. We're singing 'A Bushel and a Peck' and 'Tomorrow' from Annie... and some other old timey ones, but we're looking for more.
There are so many old people that don't get visitors. :( And after we're there, they're glad to get a little peace and quiet, haha!

Our church is hosting a dinner dance for couples this evening. Prior to the festivities, we'll renew our wedding vows. Over 400 folks have made reservations to attend. Should be a lovely night!

Congratulations to the winners! The twins and I just had a tea party - vanilla wafers and pink lemon aid. Chocolate would have been nice but there wasn't any on hand. We love chocolate.

I am still in a bit of a daze from the book signing. I drove home VERY CAREFULLY I didn't want to get a speeding ticket because I'm pretty sure that chocolate was mood altering and who knows how I'd have come out on a breathalyzer test.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great signing. I had it with Vicky DeCoster an author and a humor blogger from Omaha. This was all her idea.
She was really fun.
And along with other great guests, Dawn Ford, a friend and Seekervillager, stopped in then Vicky, Dawn and I had a two hour lunch during with we talked (gasp) writing.

Oh no. I asked how it's pronounced and he said it's STAWM and then the next work, well, Chock (the first syllable is something like Shock...and it gets more confusing from there.
