I am now so hungry for jelly beans and chocolate bunnies it is a CRIME!!!
ReplyDeletethnx, tna
I know. Let's go hit a grocery store.
ReplyDeleteI want the Peeps. All of them. Purple, pink and yellow.
I want a chocolate bunny.
ReplyDeleteI posted earlier that I jumped ahead a chapter and a half and finished my manuscript. Yesterday I finished "plugging the hole."
Now I'm working on an epilogue.
I made it!!!!!!!
The coffee pot is on duty.
Helen
Another EGG-cellent WE, Tina!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners, and again a HUGE CONGRATS to Missy and Piper!
Love the choc. bunny thinking "will work for carrots"--so CUTE!
Thank you for posting John 3:16 at the end of this post--definitely The Greatest Love of all.
Easter blessings and hugs, Patti Jo
p.s. Yikes! Meant to add that I have a little over 3k to go on my SpeedBo goal---I CAN do this! (with the aid of Reese's Peanut Butter eggs, of course). ;) PJ
ReplyDeleteI meant to say how much I liked how you ended the post.
ReplyDeleteWAY TO GO HELEN and Patti Jo!!
ReplyDeleteWoooooot!!! Speedbo. Speedbo. Speedbo.
Yay! I won a critique! (Insert equal parts excitement and terror. Lol) Thank you and congrats to the other winners!
ReplyDeleteCool (jelly) beans! I won a first chapter critique! Is it by both authors? And to whom and when do I send it? Point me toward the directions/instructions please. And thanks!
ReplyDeleteHave y'all seen this about Peeps??? Amazing!
Personally I can't stand Peeps. Give me Reece's peanut butter eggs any day. But after Sunday it's back to Weight Watchers for me. There's about 10-15 pounds more for God to love than I'd like.
Marilyn
Your Marilyn is by Audra. Send it in a word doc to our Seekerville email address.
ReplyDeleteseekers@seekerville.net starting Monday. Some folks may need some editing time so that's why we provided the window.
God made some people peeps haters so there is more for me.
oops. That should say, YOURS, Marilyn is by Audra.
ReplyDeleteGood one. Peeps Surgery.
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy Easter, Seekerville family!
ReplyDeleteI wrote THE END on my WIP today! Thank you so much for Speedbo and the encouragement and fellowship of Seekerville!
Is it bad that the thing I took out of this the most is that Mary Connealy doesn't have a Redbox within 50 miles?
ReplyDeleteOkay - it was a link, but still...
LOL. Carol, you are unique. Strangely unique.
ReplyDeleteERICA!!! CONGRATULATIONS.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Carol. How many books did you write during Speedbo??
ReplyDeleteYay, Missy and Piper!!! And congrats to all this month's winners, too. Of course, anyone who has participated at all in Speedbo has to be counted as a winner because just committing to a month of trying a little harder has added something special to the team effort here. :)
ReplyDeleteAmen, and thank you, Carol Garvin.
ReplyDeleteThat is totally spot on.
Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who got some writing done for Speedbo!!! I've loved participating this year, and I'm so grateful for all of the encouragement and motivation! Excited to move forward now that my first draft is complete. :) Hoping to self-publish my WIP this summer, Lord willing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to one and all, and God bless! :)
~Amber
Amber, congratulations. I personally love editing so once first draft is down well then the fun starts.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Only one.
ReplyDeleteThis year.
;)
YES! Ned congratulations to everyone, cause we're all winners. Going to the Pheonix writers club to see Sandra. Another yeah. And I think to pick ip my box of books. Good night, all. Thanks for the coffee and goodies.

has anyone ever tried TOASTING a Peep?
ReplyDeleteIt seems a little 'Joan of Arc' but still, they're marshmallows, so why not.
How about S'Peeps (S'Mores, get it!!??)
I never have toasted a peep and suddenly that seems like a HUGE oversight.
Like, well, sure, we eat pumpkin all the time but we've never tried it in PIE!!!!!!!!!!
There are no Peeps on the premises. And of course no FIRE!
But that is the ONLY thing stopping me.
Carol, Red Box in rural Nebraska?
ReplyDeleteI've got a better chance of finding Bigfoot.
I'm not done but wow, I am very very close to meeting my SPEEDBO goals. I'm amazed.
ReplyDeleteI'm wrapping up the novella I hoped to finish.
I may make it because tomorrow looks to be a quiet day.
Of course I rarely have a quiet day and I might just go wild and NAP THROUGH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
But still, I'm close.
Toasted Peeps are GREAT!
ReplyDeleteWe had a gas stove growing up, and we never went an Easter without roasting them. I love peeps and just a touch of fire to a marshmallow.
Don't roast them too long. They burn easy with the sugar.
It somehow seems wrong to toast Peeps.
ReplyDeleteMary, don't try it.
Melissa, yes. She comes from a family familiar with fire.
Such good news on the best Good News weekend of the year. Missy and Piper, way to go. And congrats to everyone who survived or thrived during Speedbo.
ReplyDeleteI ate some black jelly beans even though I am not supposed to. What was I thinking?
I finished my book just in time for the third grandbaby to arrive next week. Revisions will help pass the time.
Yay, I finished my book! Thanks to everyone for your support.
Peace, Julie
I made my Speedbo goal of writing 25,000 words on a new story. I would not have made it that far without Seekerville.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all you do for me and all of us. You give freely both advice and encouragement. You teach us and you love us. And you even give away prizes.
Seekerville is truly a reflection of the God we love so much.
I hope you all have a very happy Easter celebrating our Jesus!
Jackie L.
I gave up sugar for lent so I am REALLY ready for jelly beans and a chocolate bunny.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners. Woo hooo
ReplyDeleteSeekerville rocked this month. Yay Speedbo.
TINA, I will gladly give you my peeps.
ReplyDeleteMARIANNE, can hardly wait to see you this afternoon. Will any other Seeker friends be there?
Congrats to those who made their speedbo goals.
I've already congratulated PIPER and MISSY but hey, love doing it so woooooo hoooooooo Happy dancing.
MARY you are in the wrong place to see Bigfoot.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think it is a great idea to toast those peeps.
I'm about 400 words away from my goal but that's not nearly enough to end the book, so I'm sure I'll be whizzing past that number later today to finish up my Speedbo WIP.
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend edition. Congratulations to all of the winners.
Happy Easter.
Hope I get lots of chocolate tomorrow!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Missy!!! Had to send her a congratulatory email, because that is SO STINKIN AMAZING!!! A RITA FINALIST! You go, girl!
Are we supposed to report our SpeedBo Word count anywhere? My goal was 40,000, but I didn't quite make it. I wrote 15,000. :P It was a hard month. But I stopped early to work on one last edit of my first Regency before I have to turn it in. EeeK! I'm so excited about being a grown-up Regency writer! Haha!
So, now we're fighitng over the Peeps and the chocolate?
ReplyDeleteTina, you can have the Peeps.
I'll take the chocolate!
Whoo-hoo, HELEN! Congrats!
Another EGG-cellent WE, Tina!
ReplyDeleteUgh! lol
Peep Surgery! What a hoot! lol
ReplyDeleteAny Chocolate Bunny surgeries out there???
FYI - I've read Mellie's first grown-up Regency manuscript.
ReplyDeleteYou should preorder it now.
Okay. You can't.
But you should.
What a great way to end the month. Everyone progressed. Congrats to all who met their goals. I'll finish my WIP in a couple of weeks, but added 35000 words in March...above average for me.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to prize winners. God knows what we need. I got a synopsis. Thank you all for making this possible.
Another Congratulations to Missy and Piper. I'm planning to be at the banquet. Black tie, eh, I haven't been in an evening gown in years.
Wishing you all a happy, blessed Easter.
Seriously? I won a 5-page critique? That is so cool! Thank you! When I am published, I will need a full page to include the thank yous to all you Seekers for everything you have done to encourage and nudge me on my way.
ReplyDeleteI see several names that are new to me on the April calendar. Should be fun to meet the folks who go with them.
Congrats to all the winners -- extra congrats to everyone who met their Speedbo goal -- and huge thank yous to the cheer-readers.
I've extended my Speedbo the number of days I lost to big, bad bears (and no, they were not living big, bad bears but events I couldn't foresee or delay). I will set off the fireworks when I reach my goal at (maybe even before?) my deadline.
Need to come back later to read comments. Especially interested in the Amazon/Goodread ones. Oh, and Tina, I have geared up to enter two contests in April. Yeehaw!
Have a lovely Easter, everyone.
Nancy C
Special Easter prayers to you all! Thanks to Tina for the WE. Congrats to all winners-both weekly and all Speedbo-ers! Thanks again for everyone's encouragement. You are all blessings!
ReplyDeleteLove that first love! Beautful, Tina!!! God is so good.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners!
And everyone who took part in Speedbo is a winner in my book!!!
Congrats to all!
Good morning all, congrats to all the winners and so glad to see so many with such great attitudes at the end of SpeedBo..you were all winners, participation and shared results ..I see many happy faces here today.
ReplyDeleteWhat better time too to end SpeedBo and be ready for Easter and all the goodies one gets with that.
Happy Easter weekend all...
Paula O
Check out the latest edition of the RWR for a wonderful article featuring our own Tina Radcliffe!!!
ReplyDeleteWoot! Fantastic, Tina! So exciting to see your comments.
Plus, Julie's newest release had an ad in the publication as well.
Then, of course, we're still Snoopy dancing about Missy's RITA final and Piper's GH final! Woot! Woot!
Good morning, everyone.
ReplyDeleteGot my epilogue written last night. That makes two complete manuscripts since conference.
Now I'm going to shelve it and spring clean before starting edits.
I'm feeling G-O-O-O-O-O-D.
Rejoicing that Good Friday is over and Easter is almost here!
ReplyDeleteSending joyous Easter blessings to all. Along with chocolate bunny eggs, hugs and lots of love.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Congratulations to all the winners! It's so hard to believe March and Speedbo are over.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled for everyone who made progress on their stories this month. :)
Okay, so was anyone else tempted to eat the ears off that cute little chocolate rabbit begging for carrots? :)
Have a joyful Easter everyone!
Congrats winners! I'm excited I won one of Glynna's books!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like everyone made progress this month! My goal was to write each day. I didn't, but I do like what I got written. :}
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one indulging in the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.
Has anyone tried the Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream Eggs? They are as good as they sound.
Happy Easter everyone!
Congratulations Missy and Piper! And to all the Speedbo winners.
ReplyDeleteI'm still writing frantically -- definitely won't meet my word goal, but I'm determined to meet my plot goal so I can write that synopsis. I have 35,733 words so far which is just over half of my goal. :-(
I bet I have the most creative excuse for being behind in my word count. Ready? Yesterday was supposed to be my marathon writing day only my dog got into a package of licorice allsorts...I won't paint you the visuals. :-(
And thanks for the link to the Christian Fiction Online Magazine. I found a great article -- Building Suspense Behind the Scenes by DiAnn Mills. Perfect info for when I go back and start editing my story.
Happy Easter everybody!
Thanks for all of the congrats and support everyone! It is still just sinking in with me--I don't know about Missy....
ReplyDeleteHey Elaine, tell me about it....I have no idea what I am going to wear at all! I, sort of like Scarlett, will worry about that until sometime after Independence Day!
Great WE Tina, I love all the candy. I'm waiting for April 1 when I will stock up on all of the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs I can get until September 1 when the Reese's Pumpkins come out. *waves at Patty Jo*
Have a wonderful Easter, Seekerville!
Piper
Really? I'm in the RWR. That's odd.
ReplyDeleteHey, Rose. Congrats on your goal meeting.
ReplyDeleteAnd I cannot wait to read Melanie's Regency.
Ewwwwwwwwww. Kav.
ReplyDeletePer FB, add Natalie Monk's dad to your prayer list today. He is in critical care -stable condition per her notes. Let's pray him to a regular room for Sunday so all his family can be with him. Next step. HOME!
ReplyDeleteI love all the Springy colors in today's W.E., Tina! My favorite Easter candy used to be something called "binks." They were little white chocolate bunnies that came maybe a dozen or more to a box. Haven't seen them anywhere in years and years. Does anyone else remember them?
ReplyDeleteA BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all who participated in Speedbo 2013!! I wonder how many words TOTAL were churned out by Seekervillagers in March??
Thank you for letting us know about Natalie's dad, Tina.
Good afternoon, everyone! It's a gorgeous day in Georgia!! But it's supposed to storm tomorrow. :( We keep getting tastes of spring but nothing consistent yet.
ReplyDeleteI hope you all have a great weekend and very wonderful Easter!
GAG! Are we talking about peeps??? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan anymore. Maybe I got burned out on them in childhood. :)
Woo hoo, Erica!!!! What a nice feeling. :)
ReplyDeleteY'all and all the pages you've written are so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI met my goal pagewise but didn't get it revised and submitted like I'd planned.
Thanks all of you who have shared the excitement over the RITA with me! I still can't believe it. And I'm still stupidly grinning. :)
ReplyDeleteFun WE, Tina! Congratulations to all our Speedbo participants! Everybody's a winner!
ReplyDeleteAll this talk about Easter candy reminded me I haven't had a Cadbury cream egg yet. Love those things!
I got a ten-page critique. That's the second best news of the weekend. (Of course, tomorrow is the best news of the weekend, but that's another story.)
ReplyDeleteSandra, I hope you like 1st century India.
Mary reporting in on toasting Peeps.
ReplyDeleteMy only comment........eyebrows are over rated. Plus mine will grow back eventually.
That is all I have to say about that.
Will write for carrots. Right. Feeling that message today!
ReplyDeleteTina, that's a great bunny! You're the master of finding cute stuff for the WE. Great job,as always!
What an incredible last week. Congrats again to MISSY and PIPER.
And congrats to everyone who typed The End and everyone who moved forward on their WIP!
And I'm thrilled to have won a critique prize this week. Thank you very much!
I really want to finish this WIP, but know that I will be about 8-10,000 short. I'm satisfied, considering my March got nuts with two dogs having surgery and bronchitis that took me out of the game.
This has been a blast and I will continue this pace in April and will report when I get to The End.
Thank you, Seekerville!
Yes, Tina, RWR. Breaking Through the Block, by Jane McBride Choate.
ReplyDeletePage 29!
Maybe my copy will arrive today.
ReplyDeleteDid it say I sleep all the time?
MARY!! I told you NO FIRE!!!

ReplyDeleteSO PROUD OF YOU!!
Whoa, CONGRATS TINA! Star of RWR. Great tips. Very cool.

ReplyDeleteOh My GOODNESS!!!
ReplyDeleteI get a phone chat with TINA!!!!
Happy dancin' happy dancin'
Will Ruthy be driving this time or you? ;-)
Their first love!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
And it always takes me about 70 minutes to get through the WE. So many great links. I've seen some of them, but the ones I haven't usually elad me to other articles and other sites and on and on...
P.S. SOOOO excited for Missy Tippens (she knows this already but must say it again!) and Piper!!
ReplyDeleteI think I won a 5 page crit from Missy too.
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!! Now I just have to figure out what to send to her.
AHHHH!!! YAY!!!!
Tina and Missy!!!!!
Very funny, Pepper. VERY FUNNY!!!
ReplyDeleteRuth always drives.
Had a wonderful afternoon with fellow seekers(authors, them, not me) Sandra and Jan. And such a marvellous , bountiful basket, Sandra! Thanks a million!
ReplyDeleteOh, I see Julie has been here with her announcement of THE END!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so incredibly proud of her. She worked through porch-building, grandkids, appliance-shopping, and a myriad of other distractions.
Whenever I'd whine about how many distractions I had, I'd think of construction. Ick. Yuck.
YAY for Julie!!!!
Hi folks, MARIANNE is right. We had a super time. And she brought cinnamon rolls. I MIGHT share. ahem
ReplyDeleteThey are to die for so maybe I won't. smile
And it was fun to meet Jan in person too. woo hoo.
WALT I love anything about India. Was just talking about it Thursday when I went to lunch with my friend who just came back from a month long visit there. I can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteAnd I get to crit other work too. April is going to be a FUN month.
I'm sharpening my red pencil.
TINA, great WE as usual.
ReplyDeleteYou are letting Ruth drive????
My my you are a brave soul. Did she tell you about driving in Dallas? Again-a brave soul.
First off, I'M AN EXCELLENT DRIVER...
ReplyDeleteNo one died.
:)
Therefore I must be okay! TEEEEEENSTER what a wonderful WE... I was busy with puppies and church earlier and (sigh...) yes, cleaning. At least a path to the "necessary", you know? So's when folks stop in tomorrow I'm not totally embarrassed.
:)
PEEPS!!!! My friend Jeff did a tour of the Peeps factory a few months back. Oh my stars, he said it was amazing. How fun! And yes, they sent him home with Peeps.
And he shared.
I'm watching The Bible right now. Our vigil Mass was beautiful and now I'm free to eat chocolate... BIG GRIN IN RUTHYLAND!!!! Now I must go see what naughty things some o' youse might have been saying at my expense whilst I was elsewise detaineth....
OH my stars, do you feel the excitement in the air???
ReplyDeleteYou guys rock the big Kahuna of Speedboing life... And doesn't it feel good to have made progress?
Helen, awesome... I love that you jumped right back in, built your bridge and then came through with the epilogue. SUHWEET!!!
And Marianne, you got together with SANDRA AND JAN???? HOW FUN! WONDERFUL!!!! What a great chance to sit and talk writing!
I have our eggs for the egg hunt all filled.... puppies are clean... dogs are fed. Sick dog is in my room upstairs. Mama dog is down here with 6 pups with her, 5 pups in living room with me. Rotational nursing so they don't squash each other.
Food is ready for tomorrow.
Roma Downey looks REAL GOOD.
Brat.
Mary, I've never toasted a Peep, but I bet they're wonderful, not too dark. Don't listen to TEEEEEENA. People pay BIG MONEY to have their eyebrows waxed. Or maybe it's their eyebrows polished and toenails waxed. Or maybe it's their tongues threaded.
People are strange ducks.
I'm hungry. But it's late.
I do have sponge candy for the lot o' youse. Bein' Easter an' all.
WooHoo! After a weekend of brain freeze, I finally made my goal this evening by adding 2013 words for the epilogue. I am lovin' this story, but I was beginning to think I wasn't going to make my goal. Life kept getting in the way and sucking all the creativity out of my brains.
ReplyDeleteGoal: NaNo novel revised and beefed up by 10k-12k words with epilogue added.
And SCORE!
Laughing at the peeps.
ReplyDeleteThey make pretty good Easter s'mores, by the way. Graham crackers, melted chocolate, melted colored marshmallows... 'Scuse me while I raid the kitchen.
Happy Easter, everyone.
Congratulations, winners.
Way to go Clari. I'll eat a Peep in your honor.
ReplyDeleteTina, I got kicked off my puker (my grandson's name for the computer - and for him only being three, how prophetic is that?) because my son was taking a mid-term on it tonight, so I had three hours to kill at Starbucks and spent the first 100 pages with Dr. Sara Elliot and Dr. Ben Rogers. Now I have to write my fingers to the bone until I can read the next 115, but can't wait! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteAt first you threw me Lyndee. You went to Starbucks with a doctor? No two doctors. Then I realized they are MY DOCTORS.
ReplyDeleteLOL
Ooooo bunnies. Mmmm chocolate. I have no idea what Peeps are but yay for them too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to everyone who achieved their SpeedBo goals :)
He is risen! Alleluia, Peeps!!!! And I mean the real kind. Although some of the marshmallow ones are lingering in my dining room as we speak.
