Let's end this party with a little more fun.
This is a Seekerville jar opener. I personally use it as a coaster. The pen is in the picture to give you a feel for the size. The product is made of rubber.
Let's hear your suggestions for alternate uses for this cute little tchotchke. (Tchotchke is a small bauble or miscellaneous item-Wikipedia)
Most clever idea wins a Seekerville surprise goodie package. (Winner announced in the NEXT Weekend Edition.) BTW, if you want one mailed to you, request one in the comments. I will contact you for your address if needed and will send them out until I run out of them.
That's it! Have a great week.
I have one of the Seekerville jar openers, and I would use it as a plate for a brownie (or some other yummy snack) since I write best when I'm not hungry :0) Or to hold my place in my copy of The Synonym Finder when I'm searching for the perfect word. Or for inspiration that all you Seekers have gotten published, and one day I might join you.
ReplyDeleteOkay, time for bed.
Congrats to all winners!
A drain stopper?
ReplyDeleteOr clue a magnet on the back and put it on the fridge to hold yet another work of art. It's amazing how many different ways a little girl can draw Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony)
I'd love to have one. I'll even send pics of different uses for a Seekerville jar opener. :)
I have some html that won't go away and am working on it. For those who notice it.
ReplyDeleteNest to hold a mouse for the computer! I'd love to see if it's big enough...it will be as I use mostly my IPad now! What a fun time we had last month, and this coming one is shaping up to be, too! Thanks
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteGreat WE, as always, Miss T!! (but that photo with the *beard* gave me a jolt, LOL).
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS to all the winners!! And I am tickled pink to win Virginia's book---WOOHOO!!! :)
Hmmmm....the jar opener could be a little Frisbee for a small dog? (not sure how well it would "fly")
And I'll pitch in and help with the party clean-up (sweeping up confetti...) and since it's Fall and there are some lovely apple orchards in north Georgia, I've brought an Apple Cobbler and my homemade Apple Sauce (I use LOTS of cinnamon...mmmmm).
Thanks for a GREAT party!!
Hugs, Patti Jo :)
Congratulations to all the winners! So exciting! I clicked on one of the blogs, but my brain is too tired to engage, so I'll stop back tomorrow when I've had some sleep.
ReplyDeleteI'll clean up some of the streamers on my way out.
AHA!! BLOGGER 0 TINA 1
ReplyDeleteI found the mysterious code it was in yesterday's blog post.
All clean now.
WHAT?!
ReplyDeleteWait! I'll be right back. I've just taken my contact lenses out. I gotta get my glasses.
Great WE!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners.
If I had four jar openers I'd put them under the corners of my sofa to keep from scratching the hard wood.
What, what? What, what?
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Clari!
Congratulations Clari!! And all the winners. It was a great party... as always :)
ReplyDeleteIt still says my name!
ReplyDeleteOh.
My.
Goodness.
Gracious!
Forgot to say, great ad in RWR.
ReplyDeleteAnd for those of you who might have missed it in the comments earlier... I sold a third book to Love Inspired.
Y'all can do this. You just have to write, write, write.
OH MY GOODNESS, OH MY GOODNESS, OH MY GOODNESS!
ReplyDeleteI've looked at it three times and I still don't believe it!
I don't know whether to laugh, snoopy dance, or cry.
Never mind. I'm doing all three.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! There is no way I deserve that but THANK YOU!
Congragulations, Christina! I am so happy for you. Third book! WooHoo! Wow! You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteThat's great Christina! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I did miss that Christina. DUH ON ME.
ReplyDeleteRootin', Tootin' for you!!!!
By the way, I got one of the small black jar opener/coasters from Julie earlier this year, and I absolutely LOVE it as a coaster! I kept moving it between my computer desk and my easy chair because I like it so much. And then Mary Connealy gave me a larger one in my swag bag so I don't have to keep moving them around. They are the best coasters ever!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have I said
Thank you! yet?
I'm rambling and I'm spamming Seekerville.
ReplyDeleteSorry.
But I'm a little excited.
Oh. My. Goodness!
Congratulations to all the other winners!
☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺
Use them under our leather couch to keep the hard wood floor from being scuffed. GUILTY.
ReplyDeleteKeep two in kitchen drawer for jars.
Keep two on my desk for beverages.
I am a hog.
Ramble and spam on.
ReplyDeleteIt's rather refreshing.
You could use the jar opener as one of those grippy things that keeps your phone from sliding off your dashboard when you're driving! As an added bonus, it would remind you to check out Seekerville's newest post... But only after you park, of course. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have one of those (with a different logo) They do work well and work well to stop things slipping.
ReplyDeleteBut it does look like it could make a good frisbee. whoops seems Patty Jo and I have the same idea.
Hey if you put some tape on the back it would make a pretty pic to cover a small hole in the wall ;)
Great WE!
ReplyDeleteCongrats winners!!!!
What a party! Whew!
I have one of those jar openers, but have always used it as a coaster, since I received it in a packet with several other tchotche...thoscke...tchotsky... Oh forget it. Thingys. And with it came a big round green rubber jar opener, too. So I thought the black one was a coaster. :)
I bet it would take scuff marks off of linoleum or tile.
If you have several, place them under a rug to keep it from slipping.
I also have used it to set a candle on when I'm afraid it might get hot.
With Christmastime coming, it might be used for a sweet ornament. :)
Congrats, Clari Dees! I love your reaction! Too sweet.
ReplyDeleteI use it to open jars. Functional Fixedness for the win!
ReplyDeleteSo, if I were being non-fuctionally-fixed, some uses could be:
ReplyDeletePutting it under a baby's changing mat on one top of a dresser to create an instant baby changing table that won't slide off.
Cutting and glueing them to the bottom of kids shoes or the new cowboy boots my boy insists on wearing that have no traction to keep them from slipping out from under him.
The time out spot. Child must stand on one foot on the Seekerville circle in time out, making punishment more annoying to the offendee and making them do isometric exercise and practice balance therefore counting as PE for homeschooling purposes.
Do you detect the "I have little children at home" theme? :)
Happy birthday to Julie I hope you have a wonderful birthday today.
ReplyDeleteHey you could use one of the jar openers as a birthday gift.
A jar opener? I had no idea. I use mine as a coaster, too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners! Have a blessed weekend everyone!
Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteI think you could use it as a small potholder to withdraw say a coffee cup from the microwave?
Congratulations to Christina as well!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
Smiles & Blessings,
Cindy W.
countrybear52 AT yahoo DOT com
Congratulations Clari!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats Christina!!!
I didn't know you sold a 3rd book. Did I? Is it the pirate one? You write so fast I'm confused about which book we're talking about.
I think I read the beginning of this and it knocked my socks off...
Congrats to all. CLARI DEES!!! WOW. I live, eat and sleep with my Kindle and Computer. You think I'm kidding?
ReplyDeleteI have won both a kindle and a laptop via Seekerville Birthday month and I have withdrawal if I am parted from them for more than 12 hrs.
Congratulations to all the winners for the month and the special party favors. Seekers rock!
I'm sorry to have been out of the loop so much lately but I've tried to keep up with all the posts. I'm hoping it was also massive encouragement for the NaNoWriMo'ers out there. GO GO GO.
THanks for the coffee. GAAHHH I need it!
(I use the jar opener as a jar opener. I never realized how boring that would sound) I keep it clean and special, that's why. I use the cheap ones all over the place. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd CLARI!!!! Woot!!!! Yay!!!!
What a great Birthday Celebration.
Shall we eat cake today just to make the party last a bit longer?
I'm heading to Birmingham for the Southern Magic Readers Luncheon!!! Melanie will be there! Anyone else? Lindi Peterson. Larissa Reinhart is riding with me. Marilyn, will you be there? Hope so!
Barbara Vey will be in Birmingham too. I'll give her Seekerville hugs and thanks for guesting with us in OCT.
I love my Seekerville jar opener/coaster. Other uses? Hmmmm? I'll think as I drive!
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteWhat about a car coaster? Will it fit in the cup holder of a car?
Have a great weekend.
Wonderful job, Seekerville!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great weekend, Tina.
Congrats, Clari and all the winners.
I also use my jar opener as a coaster, lol.
Have fun Debby!
Whoo hoo! Congratulations Clari!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to all of the winners.
Thank you Seekerville for throwing such a great party every October.
I hope all who are participating in NaNoWriMo are on track!
Great party, Seekerville!!!! And congrats to all the winners. I've come prepared to help clean up. Brought my eco dishsoap and latex-free gloves and Simba's got the floor cleanup duty covered. You'll be able to eat off the floor by the end of the day...if you don't mind doggie germs. :-)
ReplyDeleteAn alternative for your tchokey thingy:
I work in a school library and my circulation desk has too many holes in it....you know where they drill out a round plug so you can feed all your computer cables through? So I have this one uncovered hole right by where the kids check out their books. A grade one boy (it's always the boys) got his arm stuck in the hole yesterday!!!! Why? Because he wanted to see if it could fit. It did but then he couldn't get it out. So I'd use the jar opener thingy as a plug to cover that confounded hole once and for all. :-)
Oh -- or if you cut a half way through it you could fold the layers over and make a dunce cap for a guinea pig. :-)
ReplyDeleteA Wonderful birthday party!!! Congrats, Clari!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners and a great BIG thank you for my basket cup of goodies! I drink lots of hot tea and can't wait!!
So much WE information to browse, thank you for that, Tina. :-)
Courtney, so THAT's why there are brownie crumbs in The Synonym Finder.
ReplyDeleteNow we know!
PS. I took a bunch of the Seekerville jar openers and pens to the SCWC in Tuscaloosa. Apparently people loved them, because they were ALL gone.
Wow, I've always wanted a scruffy beard...
ReplyDeleteWell, it works for the guys, doesn't it?
Congratulations, CLARI!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteChristina, congrats on the THIRD SALE! Whoot-whoot!!
ReplyDeleteLOL - love Jenny's idea! Now I will go to someone's house and punch a hole in the wall (when no one's looking, of course) and then say, "Ooops, did you know you have a HOLE here???? Cover it with this. No one will ever notice."
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, this will be in a extremely visible place.
If you're squeamish about that, just tape it over the peepholes in hotel rooms. I ever liked peepholes (PEEPHOLES???) anyway.
Kav, just like a boy to do such a thing! lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, CLARI, and to all our birthday party winners!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting month of October!!! Seekerville really knows how to celebrate, huh?
P.S.: YAY, CHRISTINA!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners--especially Clari Dees.
ReplyDeleteHad a great birthday month.
Everyone enjoy their Saturday.
Congratulations, Clari Dees! It's been a great party month!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, all the winners of Seekerville giveaways this week!!
Tina, love the beard : ) There are times I think you have WAAY too much fun playing around with your graphis programs, LOL!
CLARI! Congratulations. Your reaction(s) are priceless, brought lots of smiles.
ReplyDeleteAnd CHRISTINA -- another book! Way to go. I can see the need to start a fourth, or is it fifth, 'to read' stack. Wishing you all the best with your newest title.
Congrats to all the other winners, too. I'm hoping MARY H will save some of that tea and gourmet basket to share the next time she sees her best-ever writing friend in the whole wide world (flutters eyelashes).
Oh, TINA, what have you done? Adding graphics beards is way too much fun. Especially adding a graphic beard to my cats ...
Every one of those links sounds interesting. I'll settle in for some reading this evening.
Thanks again, TINA, for an awesome WE.
Nancy C
Tina:
ReplyDeleteWith that smile and your Fabio hair all you need is a pirate hat and you’d be a cuter hero than Captain Jack!
BTW: Rogenna Brewer convinced me to give my hero in “Stranded in a Cabin with a Romance Write a scruffy look!!! He’s stranded in a cabin after all – not standing a Guard Mount inspection. I’m using him as my picture for now. The heroine is to die for! : )
Congrats to all the winners! I won two great prizes this month and I spent most of the month doing revisions. (And I like revisions as much as pantsers like synopses.) Now I have to spend the rest of the day doing more revisions. Thanks Seekers! Next year is the ‘seven year’ itch! Built in conflict! Can’t wait to see the show.
Eric Hanson
Yahooo Clari D!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on book #3 Christina!
You could use the jar opener to...put the lid back on tightly?
Other uses for that SEEKERVILLE JAR OPENER ... all tested and approved. Just remember to put the jar opener back in the designated kitchen drawer so it will be there when needed.
ReplyDeleteWrap it around large knife handle to keep the handle from slipping so the blade doesn't nick your finger again.
Use it on kitchen counter top to keep cutting board from slipping so the carefully-diced onions and mushrooms don't splatter all over the kitchen floor again.
Inside car console to keep change from rattling because rattles in cars drive you nuts.
To keep that little-bitty $5 fan from rattling on your desk when you turn the fan on.
A super place to put your non-Seekerville pens and other items so they don't roll off your desk. Note that the Seekerville pen does not roll readily -- love how those Seekers think ahead!
Place it under plant container on plant stand so the next time the cat bumps into the stand a defenseless little plant doesn't suffer irreparable damage. This is only a temporary measure replaced by Velcro tape because the jar opener must always return to the kitchen drawer.
Nancy C
I use this as a coaster, too. At first I didn't realize it was a jar opener! My tip of the day: It makes a better jar opener than a coaster because it can stick to a glass.
ReplyDeleteYes. Happy Birthday to JULIE LESSMAN!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh. So many great uses!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners this month!
ReplyDeleteAnd Susan, you won my novel, Highland Hearts! :) I can't wait for you to read it!
As for the Seekerville jar opener...
ReplyDeleteAka flying disk (frisbee), just throw it at a writer when they stop writing and they will see the Seekerville emblem, making motivation strike and words flow again :)
OH WHAT A GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWHAT A PARTY!!!!!!
WHAT A MONTH-LONG CELEBRATION!!!!!
And now we settle into the business of WRITING....and Holiday preparation!!!!
I say we do Take-Out Turkey for all and Write til we Drop!!!!
:) That's my theory and I'm stickin' to it!
CLARI DEES!!!!! Oh, mylanta, my goodness, my gracious sakes to Betsy, OH MY STARS!!! You won the i-pad Mini!!!!! Oh happy day!!!!!
Happy dancing for you in upstate!!!!
Huzzah!!!! Huzzah!!!! Huzzah!!!!!
CHRISTINA RICH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!!!!!
Oh happy days are here again, the skies are gonna clear again!!!!
Congrats on that third sale!!!! Yes, you have the formula correct, my fellow scientist. It is simple, really...
Write.
Write.
Write.
A simple caveat: When they want changes (are youse listenin'????) make the changes.
Keep it simple, my friends, keep it simple!!!!
Thank you for all the congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI told hubs, one book seems like it can be a fluke and a second, a fluke of a fluke, but a third....
As Ruthy says, write, write, write!!!!
Whew!!! I'm still trying to get through the comments on yesterday's post, but today's are great, too. Congratulations to ALL the birthday bash winners. What a fabulous month of celebration we've had here. And yay, Clari!!! WooHoo!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that "tchotchke"??? I'd use it on top of my mug to help keep the coffee hot longer. And maybe I'd keep it in my purse to pull out wherever I was having a cuppa, just to provoke questions so I could brag about what a wonderful community Seekerville is.
Time to get back to work here. Now that November is here I'm doing NaNoWriMo. I know... a glutton for punishment. ;)
Thanks for an awesome party! I'll clean up the steamers and confetti in my corner. Oh, and I'll take the cake I found as well, just so it won't go to waste!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Clari!
Congrats Christina on a third sale!
Like Vince, I won two great prizes this month. These parties rock.
I have my Seekerville jar opener at work, it hangs up (can't remember how I did that), but it brightens my day and makes me want to write write write so hopefully some day I can get out of that little cubicle and write fulltime!
It could be used as a hockey puck for toddlers.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Christina!!!
ReplyDeleteSo many excellent and hilarious ideas!!!
ReplyDeleteWalt, do you actually have one?
A hockey puck or a tchotke?
ReplyDeletehaha. Tchotchke. They cannot be used as a hockey puck unless you are two dimensional.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the warm congratulations, everybody!
ReplyDeleteI'm still grinning!
Hugely!
In spite of the news from my mechanic this afternoon that my car's engine is dying and will need to be replaced. Because you know what? If God can bless me out of the blue with the Seekerville Birthday Bash Grand Prize, then He can take care of an itty-bitty problem like fixing my car. Right?
Right!
So, Seekeville, thank you for the blessing that took the sting out of worrisome news.
God is Good! And you Ladies are pretty awesome, too!
Clari!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love cars, computers and plumbing WHEN THEY WORK.
Oy, so sorry about the car, but happy about you winning the i-Pad!!!
:)
And isn't that a wonderful silver lining in a November cloud? A cool free gift can't hurt!
Ruthy
Terrific Seekerville pawty, y'all.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Thank you all!!!
Congrats to the winners too.
Hey! My first e-book is on sale now for 99 cents for a week.
Thanks for helping us spread the word too. :) http://www.amazon.com/May-Way-How-Become-ebook/dp/B00D38P4UM/
And book 3 of May the K9 Spy's series is in paw. Check our Facebook page for photos!
Happy Birthday, Julie.
ReplyDeletePopped back in to ask about
Seekerville Night Classes.
I asked this of Mary on FB, but sometimes I don't see things on FB, so -
Are the night classes held on Yahoo or another venue?
Thanks!
They are Yahoo, Lyndee, for these two sessions at least.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to email the Seekerville address with any further questions.
Since I was half asleep when I commented the first time (a little after midnite here in GA) I forgot to say CONGRATS to CLARI!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd also CONGRATS to CHRISTINA on that 3rd sale!! WOOHOO!!! :)
Happy Birthday Julie Lessman!! I'm dropping off some cakes (yes, plural, LOL) to enjoy---wasn't sure what kind you like, so I brought a variety: chocolate, carrot cake, pound cake, and spice cake (with icing). And of course they each say: Happy Birthday Julie on the top! ;)
Hugs, Patti Jo
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE THIRD SALE CHRISTINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS ON THE IPAD MINI CLARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS ON OCTOBER BEING OVER TINA!!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN SHAVE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually those black jar openers have a nice mild abrasive quality, they make good back scratchers. If only they had a long handle!! Maybe I could use duct tape and attach them to like....four pens!
ReplyDeleteCLARI you are luckier than even you know.....because I was campaigning pretty hard to name MYSELF as the winner of this thing. I could really go for an iPad mini!!!
ReplyDeleteBut OH NO! Tina said no Seekers could win.
Read the Legal Page she said!
LYDEE the NIGHT CLASSES, go to the top of the main page of Seekerville and seek out the word NIGHT CLASS.
ReplyDeleteCLICK ON IT.
ALL WILL BE MADE CLEAR!!!!!
I am wondering if you could put the jar opener under a vase of flowers to stop it from slipping.
ReplyDeleteHaving a not so good day had to leave church cos I was feeling really dizzy and a little sick.
Jenny! I'm sorry you're not feeling well. God bless you, sweetie!
ReplyDeleteLook at Tina with a beard for a while. That's bound to be uplifting.
Thanks Mary. I know its partly the side effects of the new med. Just hope I adjust quick as I am meant to up the dose tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI did have a nap when I got home which helped a little. Think I will be having another nap soon.
I can shave now..lolololol.
ReplyDeleteIt's 2:45 am and I think I can finally go to bed and sleep a little while, BUT I would love to have one of the Seekerville Jar Openers. With cervical spine disease, it affects my hands and the jar openers are priceless. All of you at Seekerville are the best!!
ReplyDeleteBarbara Thompson
barbmaci61(at)yahoo(dot)com
Lyndee Henderson just signed up for a Night Class with the Ruthmeister Meisterburger!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Lyndee, my love...
You know not what you do! :)
We will have SO MUCH FUN!!!! And you'll most likely hate me, it's what I DO Lyndee... We call it "tough love" around here, but the kids, well.... the word "torture" has been bandied about more often lately!
Bring your freshly sharpened #2 pencils and a composition book to class. And this ain't no GQ session, so when I mess up, it's INTENTIONAL...
:)
That's what I tell my editors, yup. "Conversational Lyricism"....
Doesn't that just totally SOUND like I know what I'm talking about?
Thank you, Lyndee!!!! (She'll most likely ask for a refund when she realizes exactly what she's done...)
Jenny, it might have been Tina's beard that made you sick, honey.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry this is all still "spinning around" for you.
Hugging you from cold upstate New York... which hasn't been all that cold at all!
But I know better than to think we're in some kind of trend. Hahahahahahaha!
COngrats ALL! I have one of those nifty jar openers - which I just learned was a jar opener LOL. It's most definitely my coaster.
ReplyDeleteIt would work VERY well, I think, to hide the stains on your table - or a thin piece of chocolate. It also works as a fairly good back scratcher (good traction, and the feel on your back is VERY nice).
And SUPER congrats to Christina!!!!!!! WOOWOO girlie!
To hide chocolate? LOLOLOL
ReplyDeleteLove all the ideas lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats Christina. Soooooo
Hope you feel better Jenny. I think Ruthy has a point. It could easily be that beard on Tina.
IF Super congrats on your first ebook.
ReplyDeleteFolks if you have middle grade readers, K C's books are terrific. My great nieces and nephews loved them.
Thanks all yesterday was a bad day, feeling sorry for myself and feeling lonely just wanting the phone to ring and when it did I was in the bath.
ReplyDeletethis constant pain is getting old and adding dizziness and nausea to it isn't helping. But I did sleep a little better last night.
I know I can handle this as God doesn't give us more than we can handle but sometimes I just feel I cant take it much more. I wish I was up to reading as a good book can take the pain away but at present I am not even up to that. People here know Im struggling when I say I am considering canceling going to the cricket which is on par with I cant read.
Praying, Jenny!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed coming by the last couple of days. Someone stole my purse Thursday night out of my locked van, without breaking a window (HOW?) and I've been dealing with that, plus I was in Birmingham all day yesterday with Barbara Vey and Debby Giusti (LUCKY ME!) and the Southern Magic ladies for their annual readers luncheon. But congrats to Clari Dees for winning the iPad!!! Great party, girls, as always!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd love a jar opener! I have such a hard time opening jars. It might also be useful as a non-skid surface to place your tablet or netbook on.
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring.
Loved the WE, Tina, and the links. Congrats to Clari on her win and to Christine on selling third book. Surprised and happy to see my name listed as winner on Friday of a BOC from a Seeker. Thank you. A great party and mega congrats to all winners last month. Hope Jenny is feeling much better soon. Love to have one of those jar openers. I'd probably use it as a coaster. The other suggestions mentioned are also clever.
ReplyDeleteGood grief, Melanie! You lead an adventurous life. Sounds like a story plot. Sorry about the purse. Egads!
ReplyDeleteMary, I've emailed you.
ReplyDeleteWow, great Weekend Edition, Tina!! Love the new look. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations winners!! Hated to see October end! Clari, love your excitement over the mini iPad!!!
Congrats, Christina, on the third sale to LI!!
Love great news!
I use the Seekerville jar opener as it was intended--to open jars. Is it me or are jars suddenly harder to open? Love all the clever ways some of you are using them!
Janet
Jenny, hope your body gets used to the new medicine!

Sorry about the purse, Melanie. That's terrible! And a royal pain.

Mel, I hate when stuff like that happens. So sorry!!! (I think I said that on facebook, too, and I meant it both times.)
ReplyDeleteStinkin' thieves!
I bought a bushel and a half of butternut squash today. Farm market closing for the season... two pecks of green peppers. Cauliflower. Big zucchini to freeze for zucchini bread.
My entire kitchen smells like vegetables. And Dave is cleaning two Goose breasts in the sink.
Wait, two geese, four breasts?
Yeah, that.
We are country folk.
Pat Jeanne! You are on the mailing list for a coaster/jar opener.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your purse, Melanie.
ReplyDeleteI had my wallet stolen once, out of a shopping cart. It was found like....a month later, thrown under some shelf ... in a town thirty miles away. All the money gone but my credit cards and license there. But of course by then I'd had everything cancelled and replaced.
Not a LOT of money, mostly just a STINKING NUISANCE!!! DISHONEST SCUM!
I counted it as part of my tithe. Figured it as money given to the poor. I think God understood. :(
