I'm waiting up for my lovely wife, who's enjoying a night out with the girls. I could use the chocolate to stay awake.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners! I confess, I'm too tired to check out all the links tonight (hubby and I had an in-home movie night—Sherlock Holmes), but I see a few I'm DEFINITELY checking out tomorrow. And please put me in for the chocolate. I'll even share some with my honey. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job, as always, Tina!
There's plenty of coffee. Grab a mug.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links. My brain couldn't quite absorb all the survey data. Maybe I'll read it again tomorrow.
Tossing the chocolate to you, Walt.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is tired out on Friday night, I see.
ReplyDeleteLOL.
I personally am terrified as I am doing a signing and talk tomorrow.
Must reread Ann Miller's post on Public Speaking for Wimps.
Oh, come on, Tina you'll do just fine! I'll see you before you head into your talk later. Great WE, and line up for next week. I'm listening to Sandra's audio book... Love's Refuge. First one I've listened to on my IPad and loving the reader. Have a great weekend. And no, I'm sure I won't be chocolated out by evening, so please put my name in for that Godiva chocolate.
ReplyDeleteSo SO impressed with all the WOmen's WOrld sells, My mother always buys that magazine, and that romance story was always the first thing I read.
ReplyDeleteWish I had the chocolate even though I shouldn't eat it!
BWAAAHAAAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteJA Konrath and Barry Eisler's take on Donald Maass made my week. Or my month.
So glad I've been culled from the herd. Off to slaughter!
Congratulations to all the winners! I'm like everyone else..tired. It seemed like a LOOOOOONNNNGGG week. We have received so much snow that when I walk down the sidewalk to reach my Mom next door I feel like I am walking through a tunnel. We have so much snow on the ground that it makes one tired just looking at it. And the not so good news...another 1 to 3 inches is expecting today. I could really use the chocolate....
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the great links. I will come back later when I am fully awake and start 'visiting'.
Smiles & Blessings,
Cindy W.
Congrats to all the winners. And congrats to Tina for your 11th story! Way to go.
ReplyDeleteThanks to your encouragement, I entered another contest this week. I'll never be the contest diva, but so far this year I've entered one contest a month. (Thank goodness it's February.)
Godiva chocolate? I'm in. Thanks!
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Tina,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 11th sale to Woman's World...that is AWESOME.
Congratulations to all of the winners.
ReplyDeleteI love the links in the weekend edition, gives me reading fodder for the weekends.
Oooh...Tina, congrats on the 11th Women's World sale! And good luck today. I have a sympathetic nervous tummy just for you!
ReplyDeleteGreat WE -- I really liked the foreshadowing article. It's not new information, but I like the way it's all laid out and just made me think. My poor brain has worked overtime this week what with Ruthy's class and all these WE links. I may never be the same again!
Many humble thanks for the WW nods.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners!! Great WE, Tina and I can't wait to read your WW story... how cool it that :)
ReplyDeleteThe kids and I have been snowed in for over a week. Cabin fever is a terrible terrible thing to live with with that only chocolate (or a heat wave) can cure!
Congrats to Tina on your Woman's World sale! You have that genre down to a science!
ReplyDeleteI have some news to share, too! My historical romance "Irish Meadows" won FIRST PLACE in the MARA Fiction into the Heartland contest! I get $50 and a plaque (No, hubby, you can't retire yet!).
But the best part is that David Long, editor at Bethany House has requested the whole manuscript!! That was my goal entering the contest and I can't believe it happened!
Need a wee bit of advice - He said to send it via email when ready. Do I send any kind of cover letter with it? Or just a few words in the email? My rules of protocol have gone out the window for some reason.
Thanks for your help!!
Cheers,
Sue
Susan, congratulations!! Let your email be your cover letter. Remind him of the request. Tell him about the book to refresh his memory..just like a cover letter. A little about you.Especially a previous Golden Heart finalist. Your publishing history.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL NEWS!!
Oh, Jamie. Time to start digging out. I am sooooo sorry for you!
ReplyDeleteGreat WE!! Information overload which suits me just fine. :)
ReplyDeleteGot to run to a historical society meeting this morning. Can't wait to check in later and read it all more thoroughly.
SUE!!! Cheering for you, girlfriend! How exciting!!!!
ReplyDeleteYAY for TINA, too--another WW sale!!! And you are gonna knock 'em dead at the Chocolate Affair!
Except . . . it's a real bummer Seekers are ineligible for the Godiva giveaway. :( I never pass up an offer of chocolate!
Fantabulous WE! Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteAs for the chocolate bar gift set, I'm sure it will be a wonderful blessing for a lucky commenter, but I have to hope it won't be me. I only ever eat organic foods, so really, it wouldn't be of much use to me.
Well, I'd better get back to writing.
Stay warm in this arctic weather everyone!
Darn that chocolate looks good. Addictive personality disorder. I choose wisely.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners. WOW.love the Special reader event in AZ! I wish I could pop over and see Tina and Sandra and some WARM SUNSHINE?!!
WOW LEANN!
I have a question for the Seekers- how many books are up on your book carousel? Do you keep them all on or take them off at some point?
Happy Weekend, all! i'm off to see what's making Ginny Mary Virginia laugh with ghoulish glee.
And congrats again to Susan. Why are you surprised you got what you wanted? ha ha!
Tina, 11 WW stories! That is amazing and is probably a record. I wish I lived close enough to come to the book signing and talk!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Ruthy's new e-book!
Sue, congrats on the first place win and the request!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Wonderful Weekend Edition, Tina!! Just love all the girly pink, hearts and flowers that shout love and Valentine's Day!!
ReplyDeleteMega congrats on your sale to Women's Day! I really love how uplifting this magazine is. I've got my Feb. issue but with Tina's short story, the March issue is a must buy!
Congrats to our winners! Great lineup next week. Myra's post has me intrigued.
Janet
Thanks for the coffee, Helen. I'm fighting a cold, congested with a headache. More caffeine can't hurt.
ReplyDeleteSue, I'm thrilled for you!!! Congrats on the win and on the request!
Janet
Great WE TINA, Congrats to the winners.
ReplyDeleteIf you come to the Chocolate Affaire be sure and stop by and see us. I'm scheduled for 2:00 but will be there around 1:00 so you can see both Tina and I at same time then.
That's awesome, Sandra. Mom and I will stop off at Cracker Barrel for lunch, then come on down to see you ladies!
ReplyDeleteI've endured a week of two sick toddlers, and that chocolate is looking pretty good right now. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to this week's winners!
I have first dibs on those red shoes!!!!
ReplyDeleteBack to read links and comments later. Just wanted to be sure I get the red shoes ...
Nancy C
Starting a new book today! Reading is what weekends were made for :) Put me in for the chocolate too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful WE, as always Miss T!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO!!!! I'm super excited I won an LIH book!! LOVE that line!
I'm dropping off a warm peach cobbler, and in honor of Valentine's Day approaching, I've added red food coloring to the cinnamon-sugar sprinkled on top (doesn't change the flavor, LOL).
I'm glad Seekerville loves us, because WE LOVE SEEKERVILLE!!!
Hugs, Patti Jo :)
Tina, so proud of you!!! Woman's World is a tough sell. YAY!!!! Woot!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the March 20th issue. I've been buying WW almost weekly for some months now. Lots of good bits of info in each issue, plus a great romance story and mystery.
Congrats to all the Seekerville winners!
Waving to Patti Jo!
ReplyDeleteWe're meeting for lunch on Monday. Can't wait!
Anyone watch The Walking Dead?
ReplyDeleteI don't, BUT...I had lunch with old friends at the coffee shop in Senoia, GA, that's featured in the show. I posted pics on FB. :)
Great weekend edition, as usual. I truly appreciate all the effort you gals put into this blog.
ReplyDeleteI had my heart set on the Godiva chocolate, but first some of that warm cobbler.
Congrats Jackie for putting yourself out there in a contest each month.
Tina - I'm über excited about your sale to WW and anxious to read it.
Jamie - hope you can get out of the house soon. I don't like being stuck at home.
Janet - hugs and I hope you feel better soon!
Now I'm off to click on all the great links.
But not until I tell Sue congratulations! I hope this leads to a Bethany House sale for you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Valentine tea party in Seekerville! Wish I could join Tina and Sandra at the Chocolate Affaire. Fun!
ReplyDeleteTina, BIG congrats on the 11th WW story! And thanks for the WE information.

Thanks, everyone! Off to polish the last third of this manuscript!
ReplyDeleteSue
I want Godiva chocolate!!! Pick me!!! :-) Great WE, Tina! I just started a new book yesterday, even though I am still far from finished with my rewrites. Looking forward to Speedbo, though! I hope to write 40,000 words!
ReplyDeleteThank you for another informative Weekend Edition, Tina--and congrats on another WW sale! You've gotten to be quite the frequent flyer there! I'm enjoying your e-book of "shorts," too! Just the right length to end a day with a warm & fuzzy feeling. :)
ReplyDeletePraying all goes well at your speaking engagement! I know you'll do great!
JACKIE--Congrats on entering another contest!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats, SUE, on the first place win! AND a request from Bethany. WOW! Talk about money well spent on a contest entry!!
Seeker Villagers are really kicking off the new year in grand style!
I can hardly believe it's almost Speedbo time again! Don't forget to head on over to Yankee Belle and check out the archives -- I bet there are some make-ahead dishes you can freeze and pull out for meals in March!
WHOO-HOO, SUZI-Q, BOTH ON THE CONTEST WIN AND THE REQUEST FROM DAVE LONG -- WOW, WOW, WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd DOUBLE WOW to Teenster for another sale to Women's World. I swear, you're gonna own that someday, girlfriend!! :)
WALT!! What a GREAT guy, waiting up for your better half!! A night out with the girls is fun, but I'm betting RIGHT NOW that a night at home with you is EVEN better to her! ;)
PATTI JO, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Warm peach cobbler is a death knell to my diet ... Sigh. Somebody give me a spoon! ;)
Hugs,
Julie
Such exciting news from Susan on her win and a request from Bethany House and from Tina on her 11th acceptance with WW. Love that mag for the romance and mystery stories. Congratulations to all winners from last week and kudos to Jackie on entering so many contests. You're all an inspiration for me. Hope today's event was a huge success for Tina and Sandra. Prayers for those who are still muddling through after this week's snow. Be safe everyone and have a wonderful weekend. Don't put me in the drawing for the chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri. The headache is being stubborn. Thanks for the hug!
ReplyDeleteJanet
p.s. Forgot to say HOORAY again for Tina on another sale to Woman's World!! (which might change its name to Tina's World since she's sold them so many stories!!).
ReplyDeleteWaving at precious Debby Giusti! Can't wait to have lunch on Monday!!
And Sue Mason--Congrats again on your win and Bethany House request--YAY!!
Julie Lessman, I promise my peach cobbler will NOT hurt your diet! (and you're so tiny you don't need to diet anyway!).

MORE PSYCHED!!!!!
Tina, can't wait to hear details about yesterday!
ReplyDeleteHubby and I renewed our wedding vows at a special night for married couples our church hosted last night. A lovely dinner and dance followed.
ReplyDeleteDoes that make us newlyweds again? LOL!
Yay, Susan!!! Such great news. I'm thrilled for you. All your hard work is paying off...big time!
ReplyDeleteWoot!!!
Mercy me! Look at ALL these accomplishments in Seekerville! Thanks to everyone for letting us know. Reading about your accomplishments is not only inspiring it's a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteSo first, given the stats in the link about how many authors actually publish -- congrats to all of you published authors. I knew it was an accomplishment. I just didn't realize how MUCH of an accomplishment.
And "What happened to your book today" is a poem worth keeping. That one will get me through 'those' writing days.
Sooo ... congrats to Tina on that 11th sale (wow!) and to Jackie for entering another contest. As Sue has shown us -- majorly excited for you Sue! -- contests can be money well spent. Ruthy, I'm looking forward to the new ebook, and Melanie I'm glad to hear you've started another. Debbie and Patti Jo wishing you a terrific time tomorrow at lunch.
Congrats to all the weekly winners.

Okay, end of my self-promotion.
LOL! COURTNEY~~~ We will check it out. Thanks!~
ReplyDeleteTina, and all those who give talks, I'm in awe of you! I hate public speaking and I doubt I'll ever get over it. So hats off to you!
ReplyDeleteGreat articles, as usual.
Congrats to all the winners, looks like a great week ahead. Who don't love chocolate, hope I win.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in. I need all the chocolate I can get. I read it is suppose to calm women.
ReplyDeletejrs362 at Hotmail dot com
I just emailed Tina.
ReplyDeleteI'm in for SpeedBo [shocker, yes?] with a rough draft of another MS as my goal.
Oh my gosh, Godiva chocolate is the best!! Please enter my name in the drawing to win some. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I win the chocolate, I'd have to give it to my hubby as I'm allergic! What's very strange is that I'm BORN on Valentine's Day!!!! Isn't that the ultimate insult?????? Believe me, over the years, I've managed to find all kinds of things that aren't chocolate! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners! I live chocolate, but I've never had Godiva. I guess I need to see what I'm missing?
ReplyDeleteAlways lots going on in Seekerville. Thanks for the great WE, Tina. Yes. I'll take chocolate. But I can't wait so I'm making saucepan brownies as a snack for dh as we watch the Olympics.
ReplyDeleteWell, I just attended the Chocolate Affaire in Glendale, AZ (but you can never have enough chocolate)and had the pleasure of attending an RWA workshop there with Seekerville's own Tina Radcliffe. Fabulous workshop, Tina.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners last week . Looks like another great week next week too. I appreciate all the great information.
ReplyDeleteCourtney, I'm your friend on Facebook now!!!!!

Thanks, Leola.
ReplyDeleteAnd hi to all you chocolate lovers.
Happy Birthday ahead of time, Valri.
I'm obviously missing something. Where do I sign up for SpeedBo?
ReplyDeleteWow! So much good reading here! First off, congratulations to all the winners. Seekerville is a remarkable community. I can't get over how much support is given by this wonderful group! I'm really looking forward to Missy's post on Monday. I could use a pep talk. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for coffee, Helen... we can always count on you to have it ready here. I wouldn't mind a bit of chocolate, too. Think I might have to go whip up a batch of chocolate muffins.
I found it. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love chocolate, don't get it often, but its a real treat to have. I will be stopping back this week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Linda Finn
faithfulacresbooks@gmail.com
Wow! All kinds of great stuff going on in Seekerville this week! I'm so excited! Especially for RUTHY'S NEW RELEASE! It looks great.
ReplyDeleteI'm soooooo lost... Technology is alluding me yet again. I was looking for help in improving my writing and someone referred me to this site and I was reading about Speedbo and I couldn't figure out how to post a comment and I have finally found a button that says "comment" so if someone (anyone!) could help me I think I would on the spot declare them my best friend. My Comm Arts teacher from last year probably would have killed me for using so many FANBOYS in one sentence, but I'm just so relieved that I might have found help.
ReplyDeleteCan nobody see my comment or what? Because I'd really love some help navigating this strange technology. It would be entertaining to watch me struggle if it wasn't me! I'm looking for somewhere I can ask questions about Speedbo. And I can't find the comment page for 2014.
ReplyDelete
