Coffee's brewing for the weekend!
ReplyDeleteWith two out of town funerals and two book signings this week, Speedbo didn't get the attention it needed. But I did get the book almost completely outlined. Next week looks better time wise, so I should finish the full proposal I planned.
Congrats to all winner.!!
Great WE as usual, Miss T!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS to all the winners, and looking forward to another wonderful week in Seekerville (especially those funny characters Pam H. is bringing us, LOL).
Helen, so sorry you had 2 funerals this past week---praying you have a smoother week ahead.
I'm on target with my SPEEDBO goals - - although I was stalled for a few days--today really took off and "caught up" (love writing days like that).
Blessings on your weekend, Patti Jo :)
p.s. YAY Myra on that great review!!
YEAH!!!!I WON!!!! I WON!!! I WON SECOND CHANCE RANCH,!!I DID!!! THANK YOU

And I'm looking forward to the great line up next week.
Sorry Helen about the sad times...but glad you had some good times with the signings. And thanks for the coffee. I got some lemons, so must try making lemon squares!
If you are reading this blog from an Apple device you cannot see the great gif. So give me a break an check it out on your computer and then clap your hands.
ReplyDeleteWow...
ReplyDeleteAs usual, terrific WE, Tina... I'm clapping I'm clapping! Congrats to the winners.
Incredible really- so many books coming out. This is amazing! Sandra - your new cover is superb...
I'm a voracious reader too of course but don't enter me into that contest. Good luck to everypawdy who does. YOU are who we do this for!
Speaking of, grab a FREE digital copy of a May book! Trot on over to May the K9 Spy and read the de-tails in the post pinned to the top. First come, first served!
Scroll down to see some FUN photos of the amazing Pepper Basham and me. She had the delicious hot chocolate! What a treat to meet her and what a blessing Seekerville continues to be!
One of the things I adore about Seekerville is how we pray for each other. Helen, so sorry to hear about the funerals... How wonderful on the book signings! I'm definitely not up to speed on my "bo" either but still thinking! Started reading the book I won here several weeks ago Change Anything: The New Science of Personal Success. This will help! Thanks Seekerville!
Lastly, thanks to Debby for her support for the Wounded Warrior Getaway coming up next month. My DH says, "This is the highlight of our year." It is SO amazing and we need your participation, particularly your prayers. Find out more from an interview by Amber Stokes: click here

ReplyDeleteHelen, so sorry for your losses.
CatMom, way to go on being on target!
I hope you all have a great weekend.
I see-saw back and forth, I'll finish in time, I won't. Still hoping though. I'd love to be entered for the critique. Thanks!
Hey Tina,
ReplyDeleteI just sent you my fee for the April class. Is that all I need to do?
You always give us something to look forward to. Thanks!
Another great WE, Tina and congrats on your successes! I've got a couple of days ahead of pure Speedboing time, and I'm looking forward to it, as this March has been busy. So good of you to remind us there still time left to accomplish something great.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all of the winners!
Super great WE, Tina. Loved the Bookbaby Blog. From there I hopped to an adolescent literacy website with awesome content. Woot. You did work research for me. Thanks! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the 11th short romance sale. I'll be sure to pick up a copy of Women's World...but not today. We're in the middle of another blizzard. Sigh. Winter is pummeling poor Spring something fierce up here. Gah! Guess it means more writing time for me. :-)
Congrats to all the winners! YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're pushing to the finish line with Speedbo. Good luck, everyone!
Another super-info packed WE, Tina. Thanks!
Tina, I raced through Kroger yesterday. Grabbed Glynna's newest book and the last copy of Woman's World. Got home and realized it's the wrong WW issue. Our Kroger is always late putting the new ones out.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read!
I picked up my copy of Woman's World last night in the grocery store so I could read Tina's story!
ReplyDeleteI did better this week on Speedbo. I planned to catch up this weekend, but I'm on GRANDMA duty which I love so.....I'll be a busy writer next week.
Congratulations to all of this weeks winners.
Congrats to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteAnother great week coming up in Seekerville....thanks to Tina!
I am a reader and want to be in the drawing for the bag of books!
Thanks!
Happy Weekend to all...
Great weekend edition! I need to write write write this weekend. Although right now I'm taking my puppies to be groomed. Congrats to all the winners!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for another informative, fantastic Weekend Edition, Tina.
ReplyDeleteI'm blown away by the revolving icons for SpeedBo!! You never cease to amaze me with your techy skills!
Looking forward to the great lineup next week.
Congrats to our winners, a huge number this week!
Got my copy of Women's World and loved Tina's short story!
Gotta push hard these last few days of SpeedBo.
Have a great Weekend!
Janet
Great WE edition!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners. I am so excited to win a copy of Second Chance Ranch.
My word count is 13,279 and growing.
I do want to be considered for the critique and other prizes.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Anyone w/a Twitter account, can you re-tweet Emily Rodmell's post from yesterday "KillerVoices teams will be announced on 28th?" They need 50 retweets to announce how many finalists they have. They're up to 40 retweets now...
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!!
Great WE edition, Tina! Congratulations on another story in Woman's World! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you Seekerville for making me a winner with the gift of PERILOUS WATERS by SANDRA ORCHARD. Yahooooo!
Congratulations to all the other winner too! Happy reading everyone!
And everyone have a great Speedbo weekend.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners.
I'm still on target w/my Speedbo goals. The writing didn't come as easy this week but I'm still there.
Stupendous WE, Tina (as always)! Please enter me for the critique and giftcard giveaway.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners, which includes myself! So happy to have won a Winnie book.
Well, I haven't turned on the computer since Sunday, so I haven't got any speedbo progress all week, but I have progressed in packing my house. The landlord is supposed to contact a real estate agent on Monday, so one day this week I'll be showing the house.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
To all winners! Each and every one!:-)
ReplyDeleteTina! Love your WW story! Grabbed my heart from the opening. Congratulations on your 11th story! Thanks for the WE and all the information. Great gif.....I need the Starbucks IV.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the WE winners and to Seekerville friends who finaled in the Great Expectations contest. Such good news!
I told CP Donna that I was "stealth" Speedbo-ing, but that hasn't gone too well. I'm praying for all Speedbo-ers!
I'm reading Sandra's Love's Promises right now and feel like I'm visiting Lake Tahoe. Lovely!
Happy weekend of writing and/or reading to all!
Another great WE. Thanks TEENSTER
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the WINNERS. Hooray.
And 166 Speedbo folk. Yippee. You know you are on a roll. Go Go Go Speedbo.
MARIANNE, you are always such a great support and cheerleader. Thanks so much. You would see the 166 speedboers as 166 more books to read. Yeah. Love your outlook.
ReplyDeleteKC Thanks for MAY's book and will surely look for those links. Best wishes girlfriend. And thanks for comment on the cover. Amber and Lena do such a great job don't they?
Have a great weekend everyone.
OHOHOHOHOHOH!!! Of all the prizes I could have won this week, the only one I would have liked better was the Amazon card :D. Because then I could have bought Audra's book AND a couple others [like Amy Matayo's new release] :D.
ReplyDeleteBut SOOOOOO excited for Audra's!!
I'm at 42K and hoping to sprint this week and make it to the finish. I'm doing some edits to my proposal tonight and letting them percolate until early next week but otherwise just going to pound away. Probably about 4 hours tomorrow.
Time for bed :).
(Wrote that last night but doesn't look like it went through...)
Congratulations to everyone who won! Seekerville is always a fun place to hang out.
ReplyDeleteThis past week I haven't gotten as much done as I'd have liked, but I have moved my story forward. I've almost got the first chapter written. Getting a new story started, for me, is always the hardest part.
Can't wait for next week's posts. It'll be fun.
Now, I have to go chaperone prom. **sigh** I'd rather be writing, of course.
I'm one of those readers cheering those writers on that are involved in Speedbo - after all, the sooner you get those wonderful books written and published - the sooner I get to read them!! You go, speedbo-er's (not sure that's even a word, LOL)!!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the drawing for the surprise book package!!
bonnieroof60(at)yahoo(dot)com
I'm slower than usual waking up this morning to start my daily word count goal. But I'm 2,000 words ahead of expectation before I begin.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the motivation to try a new process!
And I do have a ms I would like to be critiqued.
It was a nice surprise to see I won today!
ReplyDeleteNow back to writing since I didn't get any done this week because of work :(
WHOOO-WEEEE ... got some good reading ahead with Sandra and Myra's books and Tina's short story, so YAY!!
ReplyDeleteAlready read Audra's new book and LOVVVVVVED IT!!!
SUPER CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS & THE SPEEDBOERS WHO ARE ALMOST THERE!!!
HAPPY SPRING, EVERYONE, AND HAPPY WEEKEND!!
Hugs,
Julie
Wow, look at all the amazing writers.
ReplyDeleteSpeedbo on!!
Crystal, uh, nothing like having to clean to interrupt your writing flow. My sympathies.
ReplyDeleteWhat's your proposal for, Carol?
ReplyDeleteSherida! Great to have you back! Missed you!
ReplyDeleteAre the azaleas in bloom yet in Oklahoma, Mary Hicks?
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteHow did your speaking engagement go? And the 10 day fast thingy? (I think it was)
SEEKERVILLE and SPEEDBO welcome participant #167. DAWN FORD.
ReplyDeleteDawn! Come on down!!!
Speaking engagement is March 29th.
ReplyDeleteStill juicing!! Apple and carrot with lemon is my favorite.
YAY!
ReplyDeleteOk then - just wondering
and that sounds delicious
Is it on the day's buffet?! ;)
/waving/ to Dawn!
Tina, I'm hoping to have the house done in the next couple of days, then its back to speedbo! Not too sure how much work I'm going to get done today, 'cause I really dont feel like packing and cleaning on my birthday.
ReplyDeleteI won Audra's book! Majorly delighted! Thank you for your generosity, Audra.
ReplyDeleteHelen -- Congrats on completing that book outline. Sorry about the sadness last week, but hope the signings went well and you met lots of your readers.
Tina - A gif, is that what that is? Love the flying clocks! And congrats on the WW story. Will grab a copy today. Any plans for another collection of short stories like "Love in Bloom"?
Myra -- How cool is that! a 4 1/2 star rating. Hope you're setting aside just a little bit of time for a celebration.
And congrats to all you Seekers for the acknowledgement of support from Barbara Vey.
Oh! Congrats to this week's winners, too.
Will be back later to read the WE links. Gotta check dates and weather in my completed Speedbo story.
Nancy C
Crystal I think I read somewhere that packing and cleaning is not allowed on your birthday. Yeah, I'm sure of it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
Nancy C
Bloom 2 is in the works, Nancy. Thanks for asking.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteI'm still writing away :)
Happy Writing Weekend everyone!
Tina - the proposal Tamela's getting ready to send out. She asked me for a bit of info I hadn't included in my submission to her. Mostly pretty easy but a couple bits I want to let percolate and then tweak again before getting it back to her next week.
ReplyDeleteI have three hours left at Panera... I need to make better use of them than I have the 90 minutes I've been here so far...
Hi Speedsters!!! As of today, my total count was 13371...Which means I only need 6629 to meet my goal of 20000 (or was it 22000????) oh well. I'm super pumped cause in the past it's taken me months to get out that many words. Today I was hit with the "Oh my gosh, spring break is over and I didn't do ANY house cleaning" panic attack, so I've been cleaning all morning, but come this evening, I will be back at it! Hope y'all have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHello, Speedbo-ers!!!!
ReplyDeleteReporting in from upstate NY where I lost an hour today because I locked my keys in my car....
#DUMB
BUT!!!!
First goal was Christmas novel: DONE!!!
Second goal was new contract proposal for Love Inspired: Half done!!!
And we have ten days to go, so we'll see how that rolls, but we're looking good!
Another great weekend edition, as always Tina-the-Great!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am NOT on target to make my SPEEBO goals HOWEVER it has been a really productive month and I do have a week left. I expect to fall a bit short but only a bit.
ReplyDeleteYAY SPEEBO!!!!!!!!!!!!
(May God have Mercy on Whoever Named This!!!)
MARIANNE! You are going to LOVE Second Chance Ranch. LUCKY WOMAN!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Carol.
ReplyDeleteOh, I could make good use of three hours at Panera's.
MENU PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Dave's store didn't have the right Women's World... he's checking again tonight!
ReplyDeleteAnd we're cold and snowy up here still, how weird is that???? The geese are SHOPPING FOR SWEATERS!!!!
Can't blame 'em!
See, the menu would be the problem at Panera.... I don't need any more temptation to put on pounds while doing a sit-down job.
ReplyDeleteAnd surrounded by those delicious bread-based pastries??? Oh my stars, Carol, I would knuckle!!!
I would be eating!
A library I could do, I can block out noise, I can't block out family. So I could work at the library and no food. That's a better scenario for me.
Awesome word count, Carol!!!! You are rocking it!
LoRee, that's awesome!!!! Yay for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteSee, Tina???? Panera? You? Me?
ReplyDeleteBIG TROUBLE.
Nothing would fit.
You stay juicing. I'll keep eating broccoli slaw. At our height we've got few choices that are in our best interests.... Tina and I are VERY SHORT SEEKERS.
LeAnne, I'm laughing because I'm the same way!!!! And then when I finally prioritize cleaning (Dave did the kitchen tonight, I wasn't going to break from my work to mess with it) it feels good... but then it just gets messed up again!
ReplyDeleteBut I do like things organized and neat for a little bit. Good for you, you've done great!!!
Carol, I'm so glad you've got an agent now...So very well deserved! Hang in there, have fun and I'm just delighted that you've got somebody in your corner. That rocks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great WE! I got off track this week with other work, but I will finish editing my novella this week!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, I will!
TINA!!! Love the gif. Now that I know what it is and that it can be done, I want to DO it!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! :)
I pulled out 5K!!! :D I'm hoping for another one before bed and taking my AlphaSmart with me to my hair appt tomorrow. My hair gal will be doing other people's hair while I "process" so I'll either nap or chat with my BFF if she's there yet [she's meeting me there] or something. We'll see. But I'm behind :p. I know I know. The 47K is nothing to sneeze at but my goal was a full first draft of about 70-75K so...
ReplyDeleteBack to tomorrow's InspyRomance blog post [I get to do the weekends there ;)] and then try for a bit more :).
And thanks, Ruthy. I'm so glad to have her in my corner too!!! And I really, really, really like the changes I'm making to the proposal so... /fingers crossed/ They're literally no less than God-inspired.
Congrats winners! I'm one of the reader-not-a-writer's who is so impressed by everyone participating in Speedbo... so definitely put me in for the surprise book package! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCongrats everyone who won !
ReplyDeleteI am here to say that I have 10,002 words now.
I wanted to do more but have been sick and doing a detox to help get me well. so far its working , less pain if I keep doing it daily. and I feel like I have more energy.
Still long way to go.
but I am writing and I am getting better.
Blessings
Linda
I perused the links today....
ReplyDeleteAnd if you want a real good look at my take on writing, toddle on over to Konrath's blog and read this...
Konrath's Blog
Straightforward, to the point, and direct, you can take whichever quote or quotes that fit best, blow them into large-font size print them off and hang them where you SEE THEM ALL THE TIME.
Like the picture of the skinny you that you put on the fridge to remind you to beware the ice cream?????
EXACTLY LIKE THAT!!!!
Do whatever it takes to make your dream come true! Persistence, perseverance, patience and good old hard work.
There Is No Secret Formula.
It's been a BUSY weekend, and I only have a minute now. I just want to say THANKS for the book, Audra! I'm so looking forward to reading it. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope to look through the links later on. Thanks for providing them, Tina!
You ladies bless me (and many others) abundantly.
Thank you KC
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to feeling better.
I am now up to 14,000 words!
ReplyDeleteWhat is your opinions of instead of a prologue to introduce my character if I have a list of characters in the book and their relationships or short details that I don't want to bog down the story.
Wilani, I think you need to hang on until my post this coming Friday.
ReplyDeleteDid I say Happy Birthday to Crystal?
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!
Thanks Tina
ReplyDeleteOh, dear, can't believe I almost let the weekend get away before popping in! Love all these interesting links TINA finds for us!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am SOOOO excited about the RT review, so thanks for the congrats!!! Seeing that page was such a thrill!!!

speedbo numbers for the weekend:
ReplyDeletefri: 329 sat: 976 sun: 943
plugging away, still sort of avoiding that blasted synopsis. a fear thing i must overcome.
oh, and I got Mary's book: Swept Away - all over that.
Yay to everyone who is moving along so rapidly. Yay to you! Yay to Speedbo!
ReplyDeleteThanks to KC who provided info about the Wounded Warriors Getaway weekend. I'm pumped! Hope the folks who come to my book signing are as well. I'll invite them to write cards to our Wounded Warriors! I know their words and prayers will touch hearts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, KC!
Thank you, Jill W!!!
ReplyDeleteGood WE! Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteThis week was a stinky week for me and the weekend was even worse. I didn't write a lick all weekend between working the second job Friday night and then I was at a Winterguard competition for my nieces all day yesterday. Then today between church, cleaning house, and getting ready for the week at school I have had no time. I think I am finding other things to do because I feel a bit stuck in my story. I am really good at procrastinating...and those socks just HAD to be sorted. :)
Hope to make some headway this week. I need to just turn everything off except my computer.
Have a good week everyone...and WRITE ON!!!
EMILY NEYER!!! Keep Going! You can TOTALLY Do This! I was a teacher & school counselor, and I understand the craziness of it! You are Amazing! I know you'll find a way!
ReplyDeleteRUTHY!!! Get some black electrical tape & tape an extra key in the wheel well on some metal pole thingy in there (I'm not a car kind of person, but did that make any sense at all??). Just keep wrapping the tape around & around the key until the key is completely covered.
My dad did that for me when I started driving, & I've used that trick many, many times!! Did that Dad know his daughter or what?! :) :)
I was able to do some writing/revising/editing work this week! Yea!! Even better, I have my ENTHUSIASM back for finishing my project!!
THANK YOU to all of the authors, experts, & speeders who have posted this week. I’ve learned a lot!
*Please enter me into the drawings for next week! Thanks Again!!
Jumping in before the weekend is over to say I'm currently 1k over goal. I'm heading into the last week with 24k on the new book. That may seem like small peanuts to some, but given that March is my busiest work month, I'm more than happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI had a slooooow week. Only 2000 words. But this week will be better. Put me in for gift drawing and critique, if it's not too late.
