Happy Easter everyone!
Thank you for posting Mary Curry! Guess you guys can tell I can't sleep, huh? And to be a winner on Seekerville! And the week ahead looks great! A very good week indeed!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the cover love, Melissa! The cover is lovely, but it is for my prequel novella, not for my ABNA book. I will reveal that maybe on Monday, since everyone is off having Easter. I guess I'm trying to do an indie version of the way you launched, novella first, then novel....:)
Thanks for the hot link, Tina. Great WE!
Oh, I've missed so much this week. I'm revising a book, I had little ones all week, and four days of beautiful Holy Week events/Masses/services are upon us, but I hate missing SEEKERVILLE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTINA!
Thank you for this weekend edition. Now I want to go and buy Easter lilies, and decorate gravesites and rake leaves and see spring grass, re-born.
Julie Hilton Steele sent me the sweetest wooden cross, with tiny signs of faith for various seasons.... And I will celebrate the He is Risen sign tomorrow! Yaya!!!!!!
Piper Huguley!!!! I'm so stinkin' proud of you, and yes, I'll download and review, but you know I'm already a cheerleader of the highest sort! I love your work, dear girl!!!
THanks for the hot link - I was going to ask. I've been a fan of Piper's work since I judged "Ruby" in a contest. Thanks also for the Amazon gift card! oooh! the best thing since sliced bread!
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious Easter weekend, everyone! Congratulations to all the winners! I'm rushing off to grab Audra's book.
Thanks for another great weekend, Tina!

Happy Easter everybody! Christ has risen!
Thanks for making it a hotlink, Tina.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Piper!!!!
Everyone have a wonderful weekend.
YAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! PIPER. So glad you advanced. Folks this is HUGE. There were thousands of entries and if she advanced I think it is super exciting.
ReplyDeleteWooohoooo Way to go, Piper.
Great way to start a fun weekend.
Woot -- I won a book!!!! Great way to start the weekend...thanks Seekerville!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd hooray for Piper. I've downloaded the book...well first pages. Can someone explain how that contest works? Do we vote, post a review?
I'm puppy sitting this week...a little yorkie man named Bear. He's a great task master because he likes to cuddle close to me while I'm writing. We only take breaks for walks so I'm hoping to get lots done this week. :-)
Happy Easter everyone!
Thanks for the support guys! It's very much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteKav, anyone is welcome to post a review for any excerpt. This next round isn't judged by the reviews, but anything, including bunches of enthusiastic 4 or 5 star reviews, to make your entry "Breakthrough" is always appreciated. I have plans to indie publish this story in August regardless of the outcome of this contest, but Amazon has started a Christian imprint lately. Since I don't have an agent, my thought was to try to use the contest to make my entry stick out more to Waterfall press if they were inclined to give it a look. (Amazon can choose to give a look to any entries from the quarters on). So a bunch of 4 or 5 star reviews would certainly help with that! I'm going to read all of the Romance entries, but given what I've read so far...inspy is going to be rare...so I appreciate the help if you can leave that kind of review!
Createspace Breakthrough Novel Award in a nutshell
ReplyDelete10,000 entries
First round= 400 selected from each category and go to:
Second round= top 100 go to:
Quarter Finalist= Customers can review and Publisher Weekly staff will review. and select top 5 go to:
Semi-Finals= During this stage customers will be asked to vote also.
Grand prize is contract
I know all this about the contest becasuse I entered also and did make it with Piper to the Second round. So this is HUGE. She made top hundred out of 10,000
ReplyDeleteSo go read and review folks. This will help her a lot.
I love that Amazon started a Christian imprint....
ReplyDeleteAnything that puts clean, morally sound work in people's hands gets my vote!
And hoping to see "God's Not Dead" on Monday evening.
Love the premise and I like supporting Christian endeavors like this. I wish we could all go together....
MOVIE NIGHT!!!!! :)
Great WE, Tina, and congratulations Piper!!! I considered entering the breakthrough, but life got in the way and I missed the deadline. Oh, well. I guess it wasn't meant to be. But I'm SOOOOOOOO happy for you, Piper AND Sandra!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners.
ReplyDeleteLooks like another great week ahead of us!
Another great WE, Tina!
ReplyDeleteAnd SOOOO excited for PIPER!!!! You go, girl!!!!!
Congrats to the winners this week.
ReplyDeleteHelen, I love your new photo.
Super congrats to Piper. I've got my review in, easiest one I've ever written. I love these contests where readers have input. Kind of like an American Idol for writers. I didn't have anything ready, but maybe next time.
Have a blessed Easter everyone.
Congrats to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Piper! Woot!

God bless all of you who hang around Seekerville. We just have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS PIPER!!!!
ReplyDeleteMelissa J. You got line edits today, the day before Easter?? Blech.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Sandra. It puts stuff in concrete terms. And congrats to you too! The pitch stage is hard for a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteI don't like to be so concrete about what may happen at this point--it's in God's hands now. I'm just trying to think of it as an opportunity for a spotlight for the two months it will last.
Thank you for the Starbucks as well!!
Another wonderful WE, Tina. Many thanks to you and those who sent in links. Congrats to all of last week's winners and especially to Piper. Such fantastic news for her. Blessed Easter to everyone.

DITTO WHAT THE CARMICHAEL CHICK SAID!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, my friends!!!!!
He is risen! Alleluia! I'm always just filled with some kind of special and delightful joy on Easter, the thoughts and prayers of Lent coming together in a week of sorrow, contemplation, patience and joy!!!!!!
