ReplyDeleteCoffee's set to brew.
Happy weekend!
Happy Weekend!!!! Time for leftovers! The fridge is calling!
ReplyDeleteRight.
ReplyDeleteWe barbecued and made homemade ice cream. The leftovers have already been raided.
Ooohhh -- love Missy's new cover!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great WE. Lots of lovely links to help me slowly wake up this morning. It's actually cool enough to have hot chocolate for breakfast. Bliss. Wish it would last but apparently we are heading into another heatwave. Ugh.
Happy holiday weekend!
We have no leftovers, so that's kind of sad but I'm making triple berry no-bake cheesecake for tomorrow's family reunion, so that part is super-good!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut a quiet two days is great room-organizing (Now that all of that STUFF is out of my bedroom, I'm being quite choosy about what returns, LOL!) and writing time!
And call-the-far-away-kids time to wish them a happy holiday!
Who did fireworks?
I heard them as I nodded off, and no one does them:
A. When it's light at 8:30 OR
B. At 4:00 AM
But I love the "pageant and pomp and parade!" ala John Adams, 1776...
Happy weekend, I'll bring cheesecake by!
OOOO love the cover on Missy's new book.....can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to all....
Wow aren't holiday weekends fun?
ReplyDeleteI hope you all are having as great a time as I am. I love all the families having big get-togethers here in the RV park. Lots of bar-b-que going on so the smells drive you crazy. Plenty of activities to choose from, pickleball (of course) swimming, kayaking and hiking. I plan to do all of these this weekend. yay.
Are we blessed or what? I am so thankful for all we are privileged to have in this country and waving to our Canadian friends who celebrated a bit earlier. Eh?
Hope everyone is having a great Fourth weekend! We actually do have some leftover grilled veggies and two more servings of watermelon. The steak? Long gone!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I mistakenly allowed Grammar Queen to check out that post on "7 'bogus' grammar errors." As expected, she took exception to a couple of them, particularly the "that/which" debate. She gets picky about "like/as" usage too. I just nod and smile and usually go along with her. Mainly because she lives with me and there's no escaping the tyrant.
Okay, I have been AWOL way too much this past week. BUT... the moving is done and so is the worst of the unpacking! Great WE!!! Congratulations to the winners!
ReplyDeleteRuthy, I'll join you in that I heard the fireworks as I went to bed. We had originally planned to go to a local rodeo or the 'fireworks in the arena' display at our cowboy church, but my van broke down. So I walked the kids to the school playground a couple blocks from my house so they could play instead.
We've had fabulous weather and a great weekend celebrating the birth of our Nation. The food, fireworks, and fellowship were wonderful. I gained two pounds. So unfair! I only had a plate of food and a plate of dessert. Guess I should be grateful I only gained two.
ReplyDeleteJanet
I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth! We took the boys to a historic ranch and did things from years gone by. We loved it! My youngest is sure he wants to be a blacksmith when he grows up. We didn't watch fireworks, but we sure heard them. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great WE, Tina. Congratulations to the winners. Virginia, I'm so excited I won a copy of your book! I'm definitely looking forward to reading it. :) Have a wonderful weekend! I'm hoping to squeeze some writing in in between family time. :)
Crystal!!! I love your ingenuity! Close is close enough sometimes!
ReplyDeleteHey, cheesecake is READY.... And marvelous, of course!!!! Dig in, it's smooth and creamy and slightly frozen perfection....
For you, my friends!!!
Ruthy
Missy's cover ROCKS THE BIGGEST OF BIG KAHUNAS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it....
Congratulations to our winners! Looking forward to next week!
ReplyDeleteMissy, love your cover! When I was growing up, I never had a guy that looked like that next door.
Janet
I love all the valuable info you guys always have available! :) Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteMyra, if you get tired of Grammar Queen send her my way. I could use a tyrant with her talent!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Jeanne T, I'm smiling at your son wanting to be a blacksmith when he grows up. Sounds like you had a great day, something I'd love!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Great WE! Love those links on submissions and agent hunting especially!!! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Can't wait to read Rock Your Plot!!
Have a fabulous Saturday, everyone!
Congrats to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is still enjoying the Fourth of July weekend. Weather in GA is gorgeous...a bit cooler and sunny!
Hey, update reminder!!! Ruthy's delightfully snarky reunion romance "Try Try Again" is FREE on Amazon for the next five days.... So she would love for you to get your free Kindle copy and yes, spread the word!
ReplyDeleteI just added it to the WE but wanted youse to know. I love that story, I absolutely, positively love it... Something about NYC/rich people who need God/sick dogs/nice kids/sadness/homeless folks/and the milk of human kindness with faith renewed...
LOVE IT!!!
OOPS.
ReplyDeleteA LINK WOULD BE GOOD... Duh.
TRY TRY AGAIN FREE!!!!!!!
Congrats to all the winners this week!
ReplyDeleteTina, thanks for including the link about using photos ILLEGALLY. I finally went back and deleted all the Googe Images I'd innocently used. Apparently, they don't care if it was innocent or not! YIKES!!
Another great WE!!
Oops, I mean Google Images, not Googe.
ReplyDeleteWell, some of their images are googe, don't you think??
I think the fireworks might be done by tonight. My cats hate them!!
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to Myra's post -- I need gobs of help coming up with titles.
ReplyDeleteThe 'Think Like a Publisher' posts are outstanding, Tina. Thanks for sharing. And (note the beginning of a sentence with a conjunction) the bogus grammar errors was (were?) smile-worthy. By far the best link, though, is Does the Dog Die -- what a great idea!
Congrats to all the winners. Hope everyone had an enjoyable and SAFE July 4th.
Nancy C
I'll consider that a thumbs up, Nancy. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the WE information and congratulations to all the winners! Missy's beautiful cover shows where I want to be-by a mountain lake.....I was last week! I grabbed Ruthy's cheesecake, then retweeted about her book. Hope all had a great 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteCongrats winners! I'm so excited- my Four Weddings and an Kiss review is on the LitFuse page!!! I'm a newbie with them so it's a thrill to see it there :)
