No Limits Quote of the Week:
Another great WE, TINA! Thanks! Congratulations to the winners. do I wanit the HOMETEAD BRIDES? I DO!
ReplyDeleteI WANT IT!
ReplyDeleteGreat We. Great links.
Now back to read some more of them.
Oops, better set the coffee pot first.
Okay, it's done.
Happy Weekend, everyone!
ReplyDeleteAwesome WE, Miss T!
ReplyDeleteWow, Seekers not only write amazing books, but they PLAY FOOTBALL too!! ;) Love the photos!
Please put my name in for HOMESTEAD BRIDES!!
Happy Weekend!! Hugs, Patti Jo
Great WE, Tina!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd love those links! And the quote at the end. I'm going to have to revisit that one. Thanks!!!
First, thank you.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I MADE THE CUT!!! I MADE THE TEAM!!!! I HAVE A STINKIN' JERSEY!!!!
I am beyond excited about that. I'm not even kidding, how pathetic am I?????
:) BIG CHEESY RUTHY GRIN!!!!!
Okay, then:
love the article about not quitting day job, you could substitute my name in there and it would be a similar story although now the scales are tipping in writing being the higher paid of the two jobs, so my Liberty balance scales are moving in the right direction. Great article!
AND THIS: THE BULL RIDER SERIES... Now that's a category author making crazy money. When they put the power of the machine behind one author and promote a series, aya caramba! That's a Harlequin win right there.
I love that this past year they've been featuring some LI authors on Bookbub, they've been packaging "deals" and promoting them, this year has seen some wonderful changes in how Harlequin is working inside and outside to promo their authors and books.
A round of applause from this author!!!!
Whoop! I'm a winner! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend edition. I think the Harlequin's bull rider series is a great addition to their line.
I almost gave a co-worker a heart attack yesterday when I told them I didn't watch the Super Bowl. I didn't bother to explain I had better things to do like starting a new book proposal!
Great WE, thanks again, Tina! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll be reading the links this afternoon.
I am so pleased to have won a copy of "Homestead Brides"! The prairie and the West is my favorite period to read--and write--about. So delighted to have a volume with Mary, Ruthy and Pam under one cover! It will probably arrive just in time for my mini-vacation at the end of March, and I can wallow in it all weekend. Unless there's another blizzard before then.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Kathy Bailey
Congratulations to all of the winners.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to win a copy of Homestead Brides. Thank you for your generosity in giving it away again this week. :)
Smiles & Blessing,
Cindy W.
Good morning, Seekerville!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy it's the weekend. Looking forward to THE NATIONAL UNINTERRUPTED DAY OF WRITING.
My husband is from Boston so it's going to be rather tense around here. Good thing I can lose myself in my story.
Speaking of stories, please put me in for the copy of Homestead Brides. Maybe 3rd time is a charm.
All of Julie Hilton-Steele's talk of the new Laura Ingall's Wilder annotated autobiography has given me a hankering for some good old-fashioned stories.
If it weren't for the home team being in it, I'd oly want to see the Clydesdales. I still love the puppy adoption one from last year. It's a romance novel in a commercial.
ReplyDeleteOf course thanks to Ruthy, I've already seen this year's ad. So no need to be distracted from the writing.
Congrats to all the winners from last week.
Off to read some of the articles as I procrastinate about walking the dog with 50 mile an hour wind gusts and single-digit temps.
Great WE, Tina. Congrats to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to learn more about Virtual Assistants next week. You'd think having a kid in college would be all I need, but he's so busy I hate to bother him.
When I do ask for help, I often get the wide-eyed look of disbelief that I don't understand something so simple. At least he has enough manners to to say what he's thinking.
Have a great weekend!
Great info, great WE. Congrats to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteI don't like football. Guess what I'll be doing? Reading. Helen Gray's new book is coming up on my Kindle. After that, Piper Huguley's. Don't have Homestead Brides yet, so toss my name in the pot.
Happy weekend! Thanks for the great post. I wrote 2618 words, making the total 13,475. I checked out the contest links as well. This year is gonna be a great year! I have a plan to get at least two books done and can't wait to see how the year goes. Thanks for the encouragement, inspiration, and prodding!
ReplyDeleteWow, Sally, you already made your goal for the day. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteWrite then Seekerville.
I am coffee first.
Great Weekend Edition! Congratulations to all the winners.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be in for the drawing for Homestead Brides.
I hope everyone has a great and productive weekend.
My money is on #20...
ReplyDeleteI want to win the HOMESTEAD BRIDES! I'm looking forward to next week's posts.
ReplyDeleteI WANT Homestead Brides!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great week in Seekerville and congratulations to all the winners. Today is my UDW - a BD gift from my husband!
Kathy B if you HAVEN'T received your book yet in time for a mini vacation at the END OF MARCH, let me know and I'll kick 'somebody's' backside.
ReplyDeleteGreat WE. Thanks Tina.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners.
Superbowl weekend. Great time to write during that silly game. Or shop. The stores are empty. smile
Oh, wow, me in a football jersey!!!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, a mock-up photo is the ONLY way I'll ever be connected in any way, shape, or form to the Super Bowl!
Lots of requests for Homestead Brides. Better get over to Amazon and order my copy. I don't want to be left out.
ReplyDeleteRuthy, you made the cut because you just charge your way through. chuckle. Our No Limits heroine.
Actually, today (this afternoon, anyway) will be my NUDW. Hubby and I made a deal a couple of weeks ago that if I'd take Wednesday afternoons off so we could go to a movie matinee together (or something else couple-ish), he would do most of the housecleaning and weekend chores so I could claim Saturday afternoons to write.
ReplyDeleteThis week we saw Into the Woods. Anybody else seen it? It was cute but . . . different. Guess I wasn't expecting all the singing and silliness.
I would love to win a copy of Homestead Brides for my daughter! She enjoys historical fiction and I'm sure she would enjoy this collection!
ReplyDeleteHelen, pass that coffee!!! I stayed up really late grabbing pictures of actresses and pinning them to my Character board on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteFun, but a bit too easy to get sucked into a hole! lol
Patti Jo, we look like some tough dudes in that football pic, don't we. That was part of our NO LIMITS photo shoot for "Get 'er done, gals!" lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, we often do photo shoots as part of our WORLD DOMINATION strategy.
ReplyDeleteGood morning (still morning in Arizona), Seekerville!
ReplyDeleteHaving now been given the go-ahead on the proposal that I submitted, I've been writing my little heart out on my brand new WIP this morning. Now I'm coming up for air, lunch, and to check the Weekend Edition! Looks like I'll need to come back later, though, as it looks like there's WAY too much good stuff to digest in a pop-in visit! Great job AS ALWAYS, Tina!
Is it okay if we still eat junk food tomorrow even though we're not watching the Super Bowl?
Junk food is mandatory for Interrupted Day of Writing!!! It's Girl Scout Cookie time.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteGreat links, too. I love how Harlequin is pairing up with Bull Riders!!
I like the graphics. Yes, no interruptions tomorrow. Thanks for the permission to write all day, LOL!
Jackie, I gave up trying to make my kids Virtual Assistants a Looooong time ago, LOL! Sounds good in theory, but I'd rather not deal with all the comments like "really, mom? You're posting THAT to facebook??"
ReplyDeleteI'll do it myself...or look into the Virtual Assistants who are NOT related to me : )
Awesome picture! I'm looking forward to uninterrupted reading day :) I am so excited I won a copy of Homestead Brides! Novella anthologies are so much fun. Thank you and happy weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for my win of Homestead Brides! I feel so blessed! Thank you also for the great links. I enjoyed each one!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all winners. Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh my stars, Mary Curry did I post a link to the new one???? With the puppy? Why was I thinking that was last year's with the pup?
ReplyDelete#confused
Connealy, I took your comment to heart and just filled out envelopes and signed books to catch up. I can't be having Connealy KICK MY BOOTIE!!!!
ReplyDeleteYikes!!!!
Is it against the law to threaten an author's backside????
ReplyDeleteIn Nebraska???
I'm asking for a friend.
:)
I forgot to say please enter me into the drawing for Homestead Brides!
ReplyDeleteFamily VA's?
ReplyDeleteI'm with Audra. I've just about given up on that strategy. Sigh.
Congrats to all the winners! LOVE the football photo, and the Charles Swindoll quote. Great WE ladies. Happy writing :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners. I would love a copy of Homestead Brides. I love Bride books. :-)
ReplyDeleteBecky
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pam and Seekers! I'm thrilled to see I won the Homestead Brides collection and bookplate!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners! Thanks for the WE, Tina....love the football pictures!
Hoping to find time to read all the posts from the past two weeks. We're just back from visiting the grandkids....and I took notes on two-year-old vocabulary to use in future stories. :)
Happy reading/writing/football to all!
Spent a few minutes late last night decorating my NUDW tree and wrapping gifts.
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to leave it til today because THAT WOULD INTERRUPT MY WRITING!
Sherida, that's so cool you took notes on two-year-old vocabulary. So many of those adorable phrases are forgotten even when we are so sure we never will! NO LIMITS to those!
ReplyDeleteDid I say I wanted THE HOMESTEAD BRIDES? I DO!!
Ruthy, I think you posted a new one on FB the other day. I LOVE the one from last year with the puppy that keeps running away from the adoption center to be with the horse. The new one looks like it takes place after that when the pup accidentally gets locked in the truck and taken into the city.
ReplyDeleteI didn't put up a NUDW tree this year but I have sparkly NUDW lights in my office.
ReplyDeleteHappy NUDW!
Yeah, it's a follow up, Mary Curry. I saw it on Fox News again this morning. MY BAD!!!!!
ReplyDelete:)
I love the stinkin' horses. And the puppies. I was born city but bred country!
I have no tree or special lighting because we'll be knee-deep in cooking and football, but I had my celebratory day yesterday and this morning I finished a novella....
ReplyDeleteExcept for the epilogue which will be next weekend.
THIS WEEK: Ruthy's back to cowboys! Yeee Hawwww!
Love our Seekerville football stars!
ReplyDeleteI plan to have the game on as I enter manuscript changes into my computer. Can I multi-task? Hope so...if not I'll move to another room and miss all those great commercials! :)
Great quote on impossible situations being opportunities, Tina! The word opportunity has been running through my head all weekend. Happenstance? I doubt it!
A T T E N T I O N !
ReplyDeleteWatch the Super Bowl with your writer’s eye and store up enough hero physical proxies to last a year or 1000 pages whichever comes first! Tape the game and study the crowd reactions. You’ll see the physical manifestation of almost every emotion. The game is mandatory for all serious writers.
Vince
Marianne, exactly! I'm finding I didn't take enough notes, so need to make a return "research" visit.....no problem! :)
ReplyDeleteHope everyone has NO LIMITS on their writing.....or reading....today!
How was everyone's NUDW?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners, and good luck to everyone hoping for a copy of Homestead Brides.
Some extra-good links this week, Tina. Especially the tax tips and what to do when your content is stolen. The WE is such a good way to keep up without the need to read a lot of blogs.
Oh, and the picture -- what a smile-maker.
Nancy C
Thank you, Seekers for the surprise book package!
ReplyDeleteAnother great WE, Tina!
Have a great & productive week everyone!
Wow! I finally stopped by and found out I won something! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners! Please drop my name in the hat for the Homestead Brides. :)
ReplyDeleteBUSY WEEKEND WITH OUT-OF-TOWN GRANDBABY AND SUPERBOWL COMPANY, so I am just NOW getting to WE, but this one is soooo worth it, Teenster!!
ReplyDeleteGREAT articles, especially the Fifty Shades article, Why I'm not quitting my Day Job and the Author's Earnings Report -- WOW, some real surprises there for me, at least!
Hugs,
Julie
great article on not quitting day job, Tina. thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteum... cooking, cleaning and watching football. too much a sports fan to not watch the game. which was EPIC, btw.
coveting a copy of HOMESTEAD BRIDES (if that is allowed, coveting that is...)
still can't believe Seattle didn't call just one more run play...
