Wednesday we joined Julie for her blog, "Crash Edits: How to Trim the Fat From Your Novel" as she shared tips learned the hard way when she had to cut 50,000 words from one of her books. Jill Weatherholt is the winner of Julie’s brand-new contemporary novel, Isle of Hope, in either paperback or ebook.

  1. Another Awesome WE, TINA! And next week I can scour the shelves for my favorite authors' books! I'll be busy this weekend with all the fun last minute things before we leave the farm for 5 months. 5. Happy weekend, Seekerville. Another FAB weekend edition, Tina!

And isn't that $1.99 sale at HQ amazing? So many to choose from by my favorite LI authors! I need to find time to sit down and review my gift-giving plans--and my own wish list(!) before the sale ends on the 17th.

Boy, is this month flying! When I walked into Walmart yesterday, there was a big sign that said "41 days until Christmas." YIKES! Slow down! Slow down! I want to enjoy Thanksgiving first!

  7. Congratulations to all the winners!

    Love the WE, Tina,

I put With This Ring on my Wish List so I will remember to order next month. I spent too much on Harlequin's sale. I just couldn't resist snatching up LI I had missed.

I am behind on my reading this month because I have been writing. On my Nanowrimo, I have written 36,000 words so far. Yes, it has been work, but it has also been fun.

It looks like we are in for a chilly weekend in Western NC.

Have a great weekend every one!

  20. Wow, TINA, thank you! Looking forward to your next book, too!

And yes--MARY & MELISSA, top RT picks! You go, girls!

As usual, it's chore day at my house. Laundry, bills, brushing the dogs, vacuuming . . . Doubt I'll get back to writing before Monday. Also hope to spend a little time in my Johanna Basford coloring book this weekend. Sooooo relaxing!

Oh, and I just put a batch of brownies in the oven!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fun WE! Congrats to all the winners, and the words being racked up by NaNo'ers, AND that wonderful sale on LI books! Whoot! :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. I've been enjoying the LIH sales!

The 5 ways to annoy a book lover was fun, though I'm a book lover, I and my children are really bad to books, that's why we don't borrow from the library unless it's an absolute must, we "love 'em and squeeze 'em and hug 'em to death." And The Count of Monte Cristo was much better as a movie. It really didn't need a chapter about a secondary character and how he inherited his silverware...like in the book. Sometimes those old literary classics are done better shortened. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Congratulations to all of the winners! Yay! I'm a winner too! I can't wait to read Julie's book...thank you so much.
Congratulations Janet, Ruthie & Tina on your 4 star reviews! I'm not surprised...your stories always deserve 4 stars.
Also a big congrats to Mary and Melissa!
Thanks for a terrific WE, Tina.

  28. Please excuse all the grammar and spelling errors on my comments. Out and typing with two fingers on a small screen with auto correct just doesn't always work.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I feel your pain, JUST COMMONLY! I'm typing on my iPad right now, and it doesn't always think the same way I do. Autocorrect really comes up with some doozies sometimes!

Had to cover or bring in my patio plants this weekend with two mornings below freezing. I am SOOOOO not ready for winter!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi Janet! With this ring was lots of fun to write. It's got a connection to The Kincaid Brides and Trouble in Texas.
I love telling the stories of secondary characters from earlier books and that's what I've done here.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Tracey, THANK YOU. I hope you'll enjoy it. I'm looking forward to it releasing Jan. 1st. This is the second novella collection I've done for Bethany.
