That's it! Have a great reading and writing weekend and a big welcome to all our new visitors this week!
Happy Weekend, everyone. It is going to be hot here in Nebraska--mid to upper 90's the next few days. Good time to stay inside and read and write.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited because on Friday I got a contract in the mail for another Pockets story (a children's magazine.) That was very encouraging.
Looks like another great week ahead in Seekerville. I look forward to it.
SANDY!!!! That's so wonderful to hear! Congratulations to you!!!
DeleteSame here, Sandy! It's starting to get HOT. Congratulations on the Pockets story!! :)
DeleteSandy, congratulations on the Pockets sale! I remember from my days as a children's writer how hard that publication was to break into!
DeleteThanks, everybody.
DeleteOh Sandy! Thanks for sharing the good news! Congratulations!!
DeleteNancy C
SANDY CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations, Sandy!! I'm a little late to the party, but still happy for you!
DeleteSandy, you're becoming the Pocket's Queen. You'll have to tell us more about what you are subbing. Fiction? Non Fiction?
ReplyDeleteTina, I am submitting fiction. They have a theme list and I write a story that fits the theme. In the past I have also sold puzzles to them. They pay less than stories, of course, but don't take much time to prepare so not bad to get a little pay for that. I am going to start working on more of those.
DeleteMyra! Congratulations on your NERFA final. Wonderful news. And congrats to Ruthy on her ECPA listing! WOO HOO!
ReplyDeleteLove that new cover, Mary. So pretty. And love the mystery cover for Guideposts.
There is so much to love this weekend... :) And the sun is shining in WNY. We're excited!!!
DeleteI'll take every bit of encouragement I can get! Really glad this book is getting a little notice!
DeleteYAY MYRA!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteHappy WE everyone!
ReplyDeleteBig weekend here, our Pastor is retiring from serving in the ministry for 52 yrs!! Our church is throwing a retirement luncheon after Sunday service, but setting up the reception hall tomorrow (Saturday). Sad to see his wife and him go, he's been out Pastor since we moved here in 2008 :-( Happy for them because they will move to central Oregon to live closer to their kids and grandkids. I guess if you've lived as long as they have (80) and served as Pastors as long as they have, you deserve to live out the rest of your life surrounded by your family :-)
Congrats everyone! Looking forward to another great week here.
Oh, bless them for their service... and they must be lovely people to have served that long. Trixi, enjoy the laughter and tears of this weekend!!!
DeleteTrixi, sounds like they've had an amazing ministry. Such a happy/sad occasion.
DeleteCongratulations to all of the winners.
ReplyDeleteYay Myra! Nice!
Thanks for a great WE, Tina. Going off line...lots of work to do this weekend. Happy writing!
Have fun, Jill! :)
DeleteThanks, Jill!
DeleteCongrats Myra, Ruthy, and all the winners.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the virtual retreat. No bug spray needed and it's free. You ladies are great!
Thanks, Bettie! BTW, Ruthy organizes some really fun virtual retreats. You'll have a blast!
DeleteWe will have fun on the retreat... a great way to re-energize ourselves!!!!
DeleteCongratulations Ruthy, Myra and all the winners!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Thanks, Caryl!
DeleteHi everybody, it is great to be back from Boston, although Boston was great in its own way. I got to "come ye apart and rest a while" and did some serious work on both my WIP and the revise and resubmit. Looking forward to this week in Seekerville!
ReplyDeleteKathy Bailey
So many things to celebrate today. I'm raising my coffee mug to all the winners! Congrats, Ruthy and Myra, for your good news too!
ReplyDeleteAlways grateful for a little good news to brighten my day. Thanks, Deb!

DeleteGreat WE as always, Miss T!!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS to all the winners and to Ruthy and Myra for your exciting news!!
Just now pre-ordered RUTHY'S Guideposts book - - hardcover copy - - Woohoo!! Cannot wait til it arrives!!
Now I'm thinking I need another bookshelf just to hold Seeker books! :)
I hope everyone has a delightful, safe weekend. Please enjoy some goodies I've set out this morning (yes, I was baking when I should've been writing....or decluttering*sigh*). ;) Buttermilk pancakes, Pecan waffles, fresh fruit, and grits (with creamery butter---YUM!).
Hugs, Patti Jo
LOL, Patti Jo, I ran out of Seeker bookshelf space a long time ago! Now the books are all double and triple stacked!
DeletePatti Jo, thank you! I hope you love it, my friend!!!! I've got a set of bookshelves for Seeker books now... it's crazy fun, isn't it???
DeleteSo, I turned in book #2 of The Natchez Trace Novel series... The Journey to Promise (working title) on Monday.
ReplyDelete#Happy!!!
And after falling into an exhausted 9 hour sleep, I hit the ground running on Tuesday. This week has been filled with marketing calls for The Promise of Breeze Hill (August 2017), website facelift, mailing ARCs, ACFW business, personal business, and more.
The list isn't done, but I'm consistently chipping away at it. I want to "clear the decks" of everything that can be done and then start on book #3.
A woman's, nor a writer's, work is never done. :)
Good luck with clearing the decks, Pam! Just about when I think mine are clear, somebody dumps another barrel of fish all over them!
DeleteYippy! You turned in Book #2 ... making it one step closer for us readers :-)
DeleteNancy C
Pam, congratulations!!!!! Happy dancing in WNY for you!!!!
DeleteGood morning, Seekerville! Is it Saturday again already??? At least I can happily say I polished off (successfully, I hope!) the revisions due Friday for an upcoming Love Inspired romance.
ReplyDeleteNow I need another vacation--and WITHOUT the drama of the one we just got back from!
Woohoooo congrats Myra. And Ruthy, kudos for store presence. Yay girls. Way to go. Have a wonderful weekend all of you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandra!
DeleteSandra, thank you! Planting time here, so we've got dirt under the fingernails and kids underfoot... all is well with my soul!
DeleteHappy weekend! I'm so excited for Hearts Entwined! I always LOVE the novella collections from these four!
ReplyDeleteThere are more libraries than Starbucks? Wow, that was a big surprise for me. Go libraries! BTW, I'm an Overdrive fan. I've found several 'new to me' authors by reading one of their ebooks via my library and Overdrive.
ReplyDeleteSure hope I'm able to participate in the Virtual Writer's Retreat in August. I've never been to Idaho ;-)
Love the use of the rope making a heart on the cover of Hearts Entwined. Eager to read what sound like fun stories.
Congrats to all this week's winners, to Ruthy for all the bestsellers, to Myra for the final in the First Coast Romance Writers awards ... and a BIG thank you to Tina for another WE. Looking forward to reading more links later.
Happy weekend everyone!

DeleteWHOO-HOO, RUTHY & MYRA -- WAY TO KICK BUTT, GIRLS!!!
ReplyDeleteIt has been an IN-CRED-I-BLE WEEK on the Lake, and I have spent more time outside than in because I LOVE summer!! Nothing better than water rippling, a sweet breeze, and proofing book 3 in a series. Oh, and did I mention BBQ??? YUM!!
