Another great WE and huge congrats to all winners... and I'm looking forward to a fun week in Seekerville! It's 4:53, the rooster's crowing, the night air is cool, and I'm jumping in to write before Farm Crazy sets in! Happy weekend, all! And God bless you!!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you too Miss Ruthy
DeleteCongratulations to all of the winners!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to see my sweet friend, Dora, aka Tori will be visiting next week!
Thanks for another terrific WE, Tina. We appreciate you!
Dora is smart and savvy and an all-around lovely lady! Looking forward to hosting her!
DeleteYes, she's so very nice! I got to meet Dora when I went up to speak at their writers group (invited by Myra!). :)
DeleteThat was so fun, Missy! You had one of our best turnouts ever. Still so sad the chapter eventually folded, but busyness and members' travel distance really took their toll.
DeleteHave a fun visit. Hugs.
DeleteLOL, Ruthy -- "Farm Crazy" -- LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteSUPER CONGRATS to all the winners and prayers for all those traveling to ACFW! Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL time!
It's been crisp and cool (high 60s, low 70s) here at Lake of the Ozarks, although it did sneak up into the 80s yesterday, so fall is definitely in the air. Uh, except today, when we are going to a Mizzou football game with friends in 90+degree weather!! Gosh, and Keith just bought a brand-new thermal Mizzou sweatshirt ... ;)
Happy Weekend, all!
Julie
How was the game? Loved the reviews by Bonnie. Have to agree with her since you are one of my favorite authors. Yay
DeleteHey, Sandra, thank you AGAIN for coming by the OWG blog, my sweet friend AND for your endless support -- LOVE YOU!!
DeleteUh, the game was a bust, but the tailgate party and company were AWESOME!! :)
HUGS and MORE HUGS!!
Julie
Good morning all!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners. Looks like a great lineup!
Mornin' back at ya. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteBlessings to all!
Blessings to you also.
DeleteHappy weekend Seekerville! Have a great reading and writing weekend. Happy September!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a fun birthday weekend.
DeleteCongratulations to all the winners! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying yours also.
DeleteCongratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a trip back to my home state with Debby next week. Nobody cooks like the Amish!
Nice job, Tina!
Blessings,
Marcia
Oh I'm trying not to be jealous.
DeleteGood morning, Seekerville! Congrats to our winners, and I hope everyone will stop in on Tuesday to chat with my friend Dora Hiers (aka Tori Kayson).
ReplyDeleteOff to begin the usual Saturday chores. (Are y'all feeling sorry for me yet?)
Not feeling sorry as I'm up to my neck in my own chores. LOL. Thank the Lord for Saturdays.
DeleteCONGRATS to all winners!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone's weekend is off to a fabulous start! Our college gal's home for the weekend. LOTS of cooking and giggles going on around here. :-)
Praying traveling mercies over all who are heading to ACFW this week. I'm so sad I won't be attending this year, but I hope everyone has a great time of learning and fellowship. Congrats to all Carol and Genesis finalists! (Oh - and if folks could post TONS of pics that would be GREAT!)
Enjoy the weekend with your daughter, Cynthia!
DeleteThank you, Sandy! :-)
DeleteOh I just know you are having a blast with your daughter. That makes me smile. But I too am sad not to be at ACFW. Oh well. Something to look forward to in the future. Right?
DeleteHope you all have a great weekend!! We're hanging a new (huge!) mirror today with the help of friends. Plus new curtains! We've been in the house a year and I'm just now hanging curtains in the family room. About time!
ReplyDeleteMissy, I am hoping to hang some family pictures this weekend that we took a year ago. I think it's about time for that as well.
DeleteSettling in does take time, Missy. You don't always know what you want or where things should go until you've lived in a house for several months (or longer!).
DeleteI empathize. We are putting down new shelf paper in our house today. Lots of chores at home. More fun to be out in the RV. LOL
DeleteHappy Weekend, everyone. We all slept in until about 9:30 around here. Felt great. I think I'm finally kicking this illness to the curb. Almost time for Husker football game to start. Then work at the book store tonight. Hope to get some household projects done this weekend, too.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Sandy. Hang in there. Praying for your health.
DeleteHappy weekend and congrats to the winners! I stopped by hours earlier and started checking the great links and totally forgot to leave a comment. Great WE, as usual.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day everybody!
Me too. I did the exact same thing. I checked in yesterday and realized I hadn't commented. Oh well. Better late than never. Right? LOL
DeleteHappy Weekend...Congrats to winners!! This group is like a life line for me...even though sometimes I go a week without commenting...life gets complicated and VERY FULL from time to time! Thank you always for your encouraging and helpful posts and for such a fabulous community of commenters!! Wishing everyone a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to see your smiling face here, Kathryn!
DeleteKathryn, your words have blessed everyone here! Thanks!
DeleteMyra, I agree. Kathryn has a terrific smile!
Janet
Yes, you do have a terrific smile. Thanks and best wishes on getting all those life commitments accomplished. I'm so with you there. But I'm learning to not worry so much and sit with the Lord. Helps me manage my time better. Hang in there and thanks for the encouragement.
DeleteGreat weekend edition! Congratulations to all the winners. Just wanted to say thank you so much for all the encouragement, the knowledge, and the resources available here. Great line-up for next week.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Sally, thanks for your sweet words! You're the best!
DeleteJanet
Thanks Sally. We also are encouraged by you, our readers and villagers. It helps to share the journey. smile
DeleteJust finished reading Too Far Down by Mary Connealy. Great story! Loved this series!
ReplyDeleteMary's books are so much fun and action packed!
DeleteJanet
Sally I DON'T EVEN HAVE IT YET!!!!!!!!!
DeleteHOW DID YOU GET IT???
(Oh, maybe netgalley? Or have influencer copies gone out???) WHERE ARE MINE!!!????
Too funny, Mary.
DeleteNetgalley lol. I couldn't wait. That is so funny. I would love an influencer copy. The actual book over an e-book-much better any day lol.
DeleteYay for the WE winners!
ReplyDeleteAnd a big happy birthday to Tina!!! May we all party in her honor. I shall do the Carlton and sip some tea in the 98 degree heat here in Texas just for her.
Sherrinda, your Carlton is impressive! Especially in that heat!
DeleteJanet
Oh the tea sounds lovely.
DeleteThere is something about September. It's the best month of the whole year.
ReplyDeleteOf course it is. Matches June. LOL
DeleteGreat WE and CONGRATS to all the winners!!
ReplyDeleteSeekerville is the BEST place!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our TERRIFIC TINA!!!! :)
Birthday cake and Georgia peach cobbler for all! And if you need chocolate, there's a plate of fudge too!
Ditto what Tina said about September---a wonderful month! (My firstborn and my baby have Sept. birthdays---they were presents to moi!). ;)
Hugs, Patti Jo
Oh can I have some cobbler too? Please, please Tina. I'll trade you some chocolate for it.
DeleteGreat WE! I'm gathering all my "stuff" for the ACFW conference... Yay! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't just pack a little bit. I take EVERYTHING, just in case I need one little thing. Sigh.
Oh well, up to 50 lbs and I'm good to go. :)
Anybody else heading to #ACFW2017???
Have fun Pammers. Wish I was going. I'm trying not to be jealous. sigh
DeleteTina, Happy birthday, dear you!! September is my birthday month, too! Double trouble. LOL
ReplyDeletePatti Jo, thanks for the birthday cake for Tina. I brought ice cream. I'm digging into the peach cobbler. Yum! Will wrap a piece of fudge in a birthday napkin for later.
Great weekend! Congrats to our winners. Looking forward to the week ahead.
Janet
Yes, Janet, you are another gift from God to all of us.
DeleteI want to add that everyone going to ACFW have a wonderful time. I am looking forward to hearing all about it. And it is my goal to go next year!
ReplyDeleteI apologize for being so late to the party today! I've been out of town since yesterday. What a blessing to meet so many new friends on Seekerville this week. Congratulations to the winners! Sherida, I am excited I get to send WAITING FOR BUTTERFLIES your way! Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe really did enjoy your visit with us, Karen. Thanks for sharing and giving your wonderful book as a gift.
DeleteThanks so much, Sandra!
DeleteHappy weekend-before-ACFW Conference.
ReplyDeleteUsually the Seekers gather in the lobby at the end of the day. HOWEVER my understanding is only Pammy Hillman, who NEVER stops working at the conference and I (Mary Connealy) will be at the conference. So I will try and be in the lobby in the evening. BUT with or without the Seekers, we are all still a circle of friends. So let's get together. And if I end up down there by myself, well, maybe I can bring my laptop and WRITE!!!
The Gaylord is amazing, Mary. You're going to be blown away.
DeleteOh my gosh. Now that you say this, it is HUGE isn't it, multiple like a DOZEN or more places to gather. I have no idea where to say.
DeleteHi Mary, You will have a blast. Last summer, I was the only Seeker at RWA in San Diego and I had plenty of company with Seeker friends. They will find you. Trust me. Wish I was there also. Trying not to be jealous. Have fun.
DeleteAND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TINA!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Tina!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the great contest tips repost yesterday. It is so helpful.
And thank you Heidi!
Congrats Barbara. You won today and last week too. woohoooo
DeleteBirthday greeting to dear Tina! Hope you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteLoved the picture of beautiful Bonnie Roof. Bonnie exudes peace and a deep love for the Lord. Thanks, Julie, for sharing the photo. I need to read the blog you mentioned.
Congrats to the winners and a blessed Sunday to all!
A blessed Sunday to you also Miss Debby. Miss you.
DeleteYes, she does, Deb, which is only one of the MANY reasons I love her!!
DeleteHUGS and MORE HUGS!
Julie
Great weekend edition and a special weekend at that. Hope you had a great birthday Miss Tina. You are definitely a gift from God to all of us. smile
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners. Have a blessed weekend.
Thanks for all your hardwork Tina in putting together the WE.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners this week and I am rooting for those in Genesis finals and also Mary for the Carol award.
I am so wanting to write if I can get my body to cooperate. I struggle sometimes to come up with names for my characters especially last names so I have started a list of names. Everything I read a name or hear a name on TV etc. I have added to my list. I created this in Word with 4 columns on a page and listing boys names in alphabetical order and then girls names and last names are at the end. I was just thinking I should probably add pet names because they are even worse to come up with. Has anyone ever done this? Is there a better way to do this.
I have 3 stories ready to begin that I want to write but just in the thinking stages and prep stages. Now to get them started.
Congratulations to all you winners ... wishes for safe travel for those of you attending ACFW ... and of course sending extra cheers for Mary in the Carol Contest!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the WE, Tina. Hope you've had a super duper birthday weekend!
Nancy C
Congratulations to all the winners! Thanks for such a great WE edition, Tina - and I hope you had the Happiest of Happy Birthdays!! I'm not attending the ACFW conference but I will be cheering for all the wonderful Seekers and Villagers who are! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
