  1. This is one very interesting Weekend Edition....

Congrats to the winners named so far! I hope you love your gifts.... and I kind of love that the SUSPENSE GOES ON!

Here on the pumpkin farm, things are winding down outside... which means The Ruthinator gets her writing time back until next May.... and she's celebrating with a Diet Mt. Dew! :) What could ever be bad about that????

    1. Oh, I love Diet Mt. Dew, but try to limit it. :(

    2. It's replacing my coffee habit. And 300 empty calories/day. :) When I discovered I loved it... and that it's caffeine rich... Switch up time!

  2. And a note... "AND WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU".... There's so much truth in that statement that it stands alone.

God bless you guys for all you've done for ten years of blogging. It's been fun and I hope you've learned as much from me as I've learned from you.

  3. Yay. I'm a winner. Every day that I read Seekerville I'm a winner who is enlightened and encouraged. Thank you ladies for freely sharing your wisdom and experience. Thanks to whoever shared the link about children's books, since that is one of my interests. Have a great weekend everyone and try to do something great.

    1. That's great, Bettie! I started my writing career with children's stories and was a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators for many years. After my daughters grew up and I didn't have them around for story ideas (and they gave me plenty!), that's when I transitioned to writing romance and women's fiction.

Patti Jo, you are the most thoughtfulest. I loved seeing that picture with your kitties. :)

    Congratulations to the winners!

Tina, what a great WE! I've read two of the articles, and they were so helpful. Especially the one about getting kicked off of Twitter. Wow. I have some revamping/checking to do on my own account. I hope to read more later this weekend.

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

What an AWESOME birthday month Seekerville had---BEST site ever and you all throw the BEST parties ever!!
CONGRATS to all the winners! I'm excited to win an ecopy of Jill's book---YIPPY!! :) Thank you!!

Cannot wait to read Ruthy's WISHING BRIDGE book--- When I first saw a snowy picture she posted and saw that title, I was hooked then! :)

Jeanne T., thank you for the kind comment! My kitties are always happy to pose for CatMom's camera. ;)

I hope everyone is having a safe, delightful weekend. The trees in my backyard have just started turning, and they are beautiful!! (Especially the hickory---my very favorite with their gorgeous golden leaves!)

    1. We have lots of hickories in our yard, too, Patti Jo, plus a bazillion other trees! Project Guy can attest to that as he's been bagging leaves for a month already!

    2. It's been gorgeous here in Georgia, hasn't it Patti Jo!

I loved your kitty photo. :) Thank them for us!

    3. I love hickory nuts. They're hard to get into but they're even sweeter than pecans... such a good nut!

Our leaves here were/are not happy. The longish warmth messed them up so the leaves aren't turning brilliant colors. They started, then everything warmed up and they stopped, caught mid-cycle... and then they started turning brownish and falling. Not just on one kind of tree, on many, so it's an odd fall here. My maples STILL HAVE GREEN LEAVES. It's 11/5. This isn't the norm, usually I'm raking (great exercise!!!) acres of leaves out of my yard by mid-October.

Nope. Patti Jo, I love your visual of the hickory. It made me smile!!!

  14. Good morning, Seekerville! Getting ready to start our usual Saturday morning chores around here. It was a good writing week, though, including some promising work brainstorming a story idea. Can't wait to get back to it on Monday—but you can be sure my mind will be actively working behind the scenes until then!

Thanks Tina and all the Seekers. Love the idea of having "10 things" as a featured theme. Upping this number every year makes for ever more informative posts. Keep this up and things may have to change from 'Seekers' to 'Finders'!

    1. Vince, it was fun wasn't it! But it's kind of hard to come up with 10 things for a post sometimes! :)

      Delete
    2. I should clarify. It can be difficult to come up with 10 teaching items. It's NOT hard to come up with 10 fun, celebratory things. :)

      Delete
    3. Vince, you're welcome. I think most of us enjoy putting together these celebrations and having fun... but the most important thing is how much fun it is with all of you! And I got to celebrate two book releases, one at the beginning, one at the end, so I'm happy dancing in Western New York. Although it's pouring rain and we've gotten about 7 inches of rain already this week. The farm guy I live with is NOT AMUSED.

  18. "Shocking Cover!"

Did you see the cover of "The Engagement Plot"? I think Krista Phillips may have transformed the start of the HEA into the Black Moment -- all in one shocking visual! All you Indie authors need to see this cover. Talk about 'the same, only different'!!!

That's a cover that asks a lot of questions! Wow! How many covers ask even one question?

Can't wait to ask Krista some questions of my own.

  19. Hi Ruth:

Request…if you can do it, please post a link to a sample of your audio book on Thursday. If it's the best, I'd love to hear it ASAP.

I just love your blurbs. And while I know you don't stand in need of any introductions, I appreciate it when you do. :0)

    Replies
    1. Vince, I don't know if I can do that... I mean I can record part of it, but I don't think I can share it if Brilliance hasn't offered a blurb... but I'll check on Monday. If they're fine with it, I'll put my Ruthy-techno-power-hat on and we'll do it!

It's just rare to get an actor or actress that doesn't overdo the voices... and that might be my personal opinion only, maybe being the author makes me more sensitive to it.

      I don't know.

But I will check it out, my friend!

  28. A little sad that the October birthday month is gone...where did it go...went by so fast! But what a fabulous time I had from the great posts to the birthday videos (I even braved one...I figure if Julie Lessman can do it, anyone can!!), to the FOOOD!! I don't diet but boy after all those treats, I'll have to stay away from sugar for the rest of the year...haha! That is until all the Christmas cookies come out...OY!

Congrats to the winner and thanks for the surprise package for all the participants of Keli's post. That was such fun to be asked by her to come up with all the different ways we love Seekerville. They say great minds think alike, and reading what we all had to say, I'd have to agree! Thanks to Tina for allowing Keli somewhat free reign on that, you have a generous heart my dear!

Looking forward to another week with you all! Blessed SONday tomorrow and don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight....one extra hour of sleep, whoohooo!
