Robin, who has published more than 25 books for multiple CBA publishers, will talk about "Weaving Faith into Your Romance."

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear Ramona's been sick :(. I mean, I already knew that but still sorry to hear it.
Hoping to get some writing done today. Trying to decide what we're going to do re a tree. Since we rearranged furniture last summer there's no good place for it [took the 3 piece LR set downstairs and replaced it with the 4 piece so there's a loveseat where the tree usually goes...].
Thought about the little 3ft one I've got on a table but the kids don't like that idea [not that I blame them] and DH who HATES our tree [because it's /whine/ too big /whine/] doesn't like the idea either. So I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do [though I can't get to the closet where it's all stored anyway].
What's everyone else's plan for the day?

ReplyDeleteCarol we don't know where to put our tree either. We put in computer stations for the kids school work and it's taken up our tree space. One of the girls drew a picture of a Christmas tree, I suggested we hang that on the wall but doubt if they will go for it.
Another great weekend edition. Now all I have to do is catch up on the week! LOL. I can't believe Christmas is 14 days away!!!! Egads!!!! Loved the lie/lay article. Lessons in story format are so my thing!

Plans for the day? Hubby and I are heading out to a craft fair, and then it's home to make fudge and Christmas candy. Cookies are next week :)

Yes we do have an apricot tree and a nectarine tree. The birds are sharing the Apricots and this year looks like I will get more than 6 nectarines. they will be ripe late Jan.
ReplyDeleteI remember having apricot trees when I was a kid. I think it'd be neat to have them now as well as apples, peaches, pears and avocados.
ReplyDeleteWe had one apricot tree in our yard when I was a little girl. We lived in the city and it was a rare sight. I remember how fun it was to climb the tree and sitting up there eating apricots.

ReplyDeleteI can relate to having no space for the tree. We added a piece of furniture over the past year.
ReplyDeleteIn a difficult move, we put a smallish Lazyboy chair in DS's room. Not pretty, but he enjoys reclining while watching movies and playing videos. We may not get it back! lol
So nice to know we aren't the only ones unprepared for putting up the tree. Ours is up but we lost interest and only hung about half the ornaments. Tree looks fine! We have too many ornaments. :)
Congrats for entering Great Expectations on early bird rate. I read my potential entry and didn't like it. I may revise it and pay the extra fee. :(

Is it weird to have developed an instant affinity for biscuits? Is it a Mason Dixon thing? How does one handle a love for soft, chewy biscuits while staring carbs in the face????
These are the tough questions of the hour.
TREE PROBLEMS: Okay, listen up, dudes.... make room for the tree. Shift. Re-arrange. I, um... yes, I will admit... I put a large piece of furniture on the side porch to make room, because I want that tree where it's always been,in the front window so that people smile when they pass by...
I'm a dork.
And the only way around reluctant hubbies is to do it yourself. Which I do. I did elicit help for moving the furniture, but the tree is me and kids. No bah, humbugging around the tree. And if the lights reflect on the tv screen, well...
;)
Change where you're sitting, right?
I love decorating for Christmas. (refer back to the DORK statement)
But every year we have to rearrange, because it's not like you live 11 months holding a tree spot, right?
But these are memories we're creating, so I always handle those with care. (which is probably more dorkdom comin' at ya')
We could do an Occupy-er chant:
Make room for the tree!

Trees have Christmas rights, too!
Mary will make the signs for us. I think. ;)

I'm a member of the big crit group. Got way overwhelmed real quick. I have over 11K unread emails in that folder... it stays hidden... but I can't bring myself to unsubscribe or go no mail.
I have one crit partner and another group of critters where we crit stuff like queries and proposals and I may see if they'll read it for me. And a couple others I may ask as a one time thing.
And YAY!!!!! for a full request!!! Awesome!!!!
