But ... Drama Queens are embraced and loved in Seekerville especially if they come bearing chocolate chip cookies!
Wait, Carol did a photo strip?????
ReplyDeleteWhere????
LOL! So glad you guys liked those pics!!! I tried to have one of each Seeker being read in the pics but couldn't find my [brand new] Sandra book or any Myra books :(. I know I have at least one Myra book though. Maybe I didn't check my Heartsong stack closely enough.
ReplyDeleteMy now-11yo took the pics ;).
I'd planned like a month long thing - different book, different clothes each day - etc. But instead those were all FINALLY taken last minute...
Now I have to put them all away /sigh/. I *think* I've read almost all of them [I know I'm behind a couple of LI/LIH/LISs].
So, right. Rest of the post ;).
SUPER CONGRATS to all the winners!!!!!
Someone won all four weeks?
I don't *think* I won at all so it balances out ;).
[I'd have to double check though...]
Debra - go you! Two big prizes in two years! I'd ask if they were giving a car away too ;).
Can't wait for the first sale party. I have a possibility in mind but dunno if I'm right.
And now, like Julie, I have to get back to NaNo.
Loved seeing the village people pics, congrats to all the winners and what a bunch there was.....

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing amount of prizes - and an amazing amount of visitors to Seekerville! Wow. And all the countries that visited. Awesome!
Loved all the pics!
Good luck to all the NaNo's! I'm doing the anti-NaNo. LOL. I have to chop 2,000 words from my ms. Every time I delete a scene, I think of a new scene that needs to go in. Getting there though!
Have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Sue
Debra, wow! Sounds like you really needed that laptop! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCarol, too cute! Please tell your 11 yr old how impressed we all are of his/her photography skills.
October was so much fun! Thank you, ladies for all the hard work and wonderful prizes!
Great WE. Thanks Tina. I enjoyed the NaNoWriMo tips. Especially the Lulu Title scorer. Happy NaNoIng!
Debra won the Kindle LAST year. A weekly prize. Last year our big prize was a NetBook and the winner was Patty Wysong.
ReplyDeleteOh that is so not fair! We have to wait for Tuesday to find out who the surprise first sale party is for? This is a lesson in patience, isn't it? Sigh.
ReplyDeleteDebra! "Congratulations" seems a puny word for such a super prize ... and apparently a much-needed one, too. Yeehaw!
Melanie, thank you for the IOU ... I look forward to collecting :-)
Ten countries and 33,000 'hits' a day? Seeker generosity reaches wide and often. Congrats, ladies.
Congrats to ALL those winners, too.
I bookmarked the link about writing an e-book in 30 days. Parts of it are a good guide for any writing project. And the next time I feel a bout of 'poor me' approaching (you know ... a judge who didn't recognize my brilliant writing, for example) I will reread Liz Kreger's post. What a reminder to focus on the positive.
Carol, a fun series of photos. I'd offer to help you reshelve all those books but ... :-)
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.
Nancy C
Okay, okay, that's 33,000 page views a MONTH. I knew that. I was just seeing if anyone was paying attention. Ahem.
ReplyDeleteNancy C
Thanks for the great birthday bash and your generosity, Seekerville. When they publish the next edition of the Oxford Dictionary the definition of Generous is going to read "Seekerville." :-)
ReplyDeleteExcited for the week coming up too. Uber excited for Tuesday 'cause I love surprises and I'm dying to know who it's about! And Wednesday because I loved No Safe Harbor and who can resist an author who speaks dog (or daschund)?! Not me!

ReplyDeleteI was gonna say that Pepper's picture was my fave - until I got to the Carol montage!! Love you BOTH.
ReplyDeleteWhat a FABULOUS month it was - and this week looks AMAZING. Can hardly wait!
Woowoo to ALL the winners!
A Wonderful WE – As Always!
ReplyDeleteIn the spirit of brevity, I want to offer my condolences to the one person who didn’t win anything this last month! If there was one.
Pictures: They Say More Than Words!
I just love Carol’s depiction of the first romance OD ever recorded as it happened. If it was a video it would now be going viral. It’s a virtual avalanche of HEAs. The side effect of too much happiness.
I also think it is inspirational how Eva Maria shows us how romance can improve our posture. I’ve heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve but not of carrying your TBR pile on your head. (Try that with ebooks!)
Oh, and Pepper’s expression: does the ‘cat who ate the canary’ come to mind? I know that book and even that page: it’s where we learn for the first time that my favorite character was found dead. (Mary shoots people but Ruth just killed a dog!!! OMG…I couldn’t get to sleep last night.)
And Virginia has taken ‘framing a story’ to a new level. And to think it’s a book I’m in. I'm going to order a pile of them to give as Christmas gifts! : )
And then there’s Jennifer who is smiling with Tina’s books and I’d be smiling, too. Look at that bargain price! Where do you buy your books!
TINA: Thanks for the link to my guest appearance on “My Story My Way”. People should know that they are picking on Ruth over there. Friends might want to visit and give Ruth some support.
Reading this was so much fun I forgot for a few minutes that I am already behind in my NaNo quotas. (Back to work.)
Vince
Vince! You are sUCH a mind-reader!!!
ReplyDelete:-)
LOVED Eva Marie's picture! SO CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteCarol, sorry about the avalanche getting you there in the last picture. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sending a St. Bernard to save you RIGHT NOW with a little whiskey keg around it's neck.
CAROL!!!! You didn't win all month???
ReplyDeleteAN INJUSTICE HAS BEEN DONE!!!!
I'm emailing you right now. I'll send you a copy of Candlelight Christmas.
(it's an ebook, so you shouldn't be overly buried by it, girl)
ROFLOL!!
ReplyDeleteCarol's pics had me cracking up. Oh that is just TOO FUNNY!
Congratulations to all the winners especially Debra. Love the pics. An exciting birthday month. thank you, Tina, for contest update and weekend edition. More wonderful blogs ahead next week.
ReplyDeletePat
Congratulations to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteThank you Seekerville and your guests for a wonderful month. I'll definitely be nominating Seekerville for the Writer's Digest Best 101 Websites.
Please add South Africa to your list of stats- I did leave several commnents during the month.
I am looking forward to Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYou all are awfully good at keeping secrets! If I ever get published I'm going to have to get someone to hogtie me and duct tape my fingers! : P
Mary - I definitely feel like a winner now!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI did see my name in one Weekend Edition and that was for the Read Me Contest :D. That'll work!
I went back to make sure it wasn't just my headache talking and it wasn't. I did win Glynna's Look Alike Lawman at the end of September... ;) I should probably email Tina about that because I don't think I did...
Bahaha Carol I absolutely love your pics! Between us two gals alone we could probably fill a library with Seeker books. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Debra and all the winners (SQUEE! I'm excited I won Fairest Beauty!) enjoy all your wonderful prizes! Thank you again Seekers for always being so kind and generous. xoxoxoxo
I have a downloading Kindle question that maybe someone can help me with. Okay -- really, I have two downloading kindle questions.
ReplyDeleteI'm wanting to download kindle for pc books. When I click on the book I want though, I keep getting the option to download the kindle to pc program. I've done that but whenever I try to download a book (so far I've only tried free ones as an experiment) I only get the option to download the actual kindle to pc program. Never the book. What am I doing wrong?
Oh - and if I want to do a giveaway of an ebook -- how do I do that?
Kav - download the program. Once you have the program attached to your account, it'll give you the option of where to send it [if you have more than one location - like a phone or multiple computers etc]. Or you can pick from the program what you want to download to your computer. For a giveaway, you have to have the account email for the person you're sending it to and then there's a 'send as gift' option on the page. The person on the other end has to 'accept gift' via email then it'll load into their account.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps :).
Congratulations to all the winners this month. It has been so much fun! Thank you Seekers for sharing this special time with all of us. We are all winners every day as you bring us words of wisdom. Thank you so very much. I always get inspired when I stop by here.
ReplyDeleteSmiles & Blessings to you all!
Cindy W.
What a great month-long birthday party we've had!!! Congrats to DEBRA for being our grand prize winner, and thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate!
ReplyDeleteLove-love-love the Seekervillager pix with Seeker books!!! Carol, yours are so fun!
I can't believe I get to be a part of this great group!!! You are all amazing!!!
Congrats to all the winners! Love the pictures! And Carol, not only did you final in the READ ME contest, but you won the picture award, too, right? That is if you can climb out from under that mountain of books to claim it :)
ReplyDeleteGood gravy! What a bunch of prizes!!! Nowhere but Seekervile could you find such a party!
ReplyDeleteEEEEIIKK!!! Saw my name on a copy of a Melanie Dickerson book! Thank you!!! So excited! (!) There. Had to add at least one more. :P
! (or two)
Lots of people Nano-ing I see. Happy writing! Thank you for the tips, Tina!! Great WE!
That's exactly right Carol Diva.
ReplyDeleteYou have to download the program to your puter first.
For a gift you just click the gift option.
Ruth Ann Dell! Isn't it odd that Blogger didn't pick up that you were posting from South Africa?
ReplyDeleteAre you able to order from Amazon in South Africa?
Annie - you're right, I did final. :D
ReplyDeleteWalt, Jennifer, Pepper, Eva and Virginia were the Villager winners [at least as I read it].
I think Tina took pity on me and the obvious lack-of-meaningful-life-outside-Seekerville apparent with those pictures ;).
LOL, Carol! I'm not sure she took pity on you, I think you won top prize with that montage.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of the winners, especially the big winner, Debra! Yay!!! Congrats to you, Cindy Wilson. :) Thank you for an exciting month. This is why Seekerville will make Writer's Digest Best 101 Websites for Writers ~ it should be at the top!
