Yippee!!!!!!
Gooooooood Morning, Seekerville!!!!!!
Okay, are you sittin' at home, drabbin' it up, wishing you were dressed to the nines in Indianapolis, rubbing shoulders with all of the folks at the annual ACFW conference?
Audra Harders at work... but wait. There's more!!! :) |
Glynna Kaye when she has time to breathe between working all day and writing at night! Love the Buffalo Plaid! |
What might have been....
High chairs and notes plastered around the walls... Welcome to my world, LOL! |
And what might be tomorrow!
Who knows????
YOU ARE THE INSTRUMENT OF YOUR OWN DESTINY.
Guess Who???? Love the red boa!!! |
And then he said, "Dudes. Do Something With It."
And that's what we're doing this weekend.
We're DOING SOMETHING WITH IT.
Which means we're writing, strategizing, working, playing, laughing, writing, editing, marketing, eating, writing, sharing, blogging, noting,... Oh, and did I mention writing????
Cara Lynn James pausing to smile for the camera!!! You go, girl!!! |
Because we're writers.
We write.
Well, we write when we're not doing other jobs!!! Come on, Audra, Git on', little doggie! (I know it's a pig, I'm talking WESTERN) |
Why?
DID YOU JUST ASK WHY?????
Oh mylanta, oh my stars, to get a jump on the competition, of course!!!
Sandra looks mighty good for a stay-at-home gal, doesn't she???? |
Very Cool People
:)
And chocolate. Lovely chocolate. But I'm not sending it until the temps cool down a mite, just a smidge, who'd a thunk we'd be talking heat wave in the Midwest in September, right????
And on top of that, we've got a bunch of RANDOM DRAWINGS today just to take away the sting of staying home....drudgery of housework.... same four walls....
Okay, we all know I don't really DO housework, I live in a state of tempered squalor and the other day I killed a BIG, BLACK, HAIRY SPIDER THE SIZE OF A SMALL MOUSE.... a "wood" spider, the kind that EAT WET WOOD....
Yum.
But I ignore all that and delve into the world I love, the world of romance fiction, the world of happily ever afters!!!!
(And let me just MENTION AGAIN THAT I'M GIVING AWAY A FREE DOWNLOAD OF MY NEWEST RELEASE "RUNNING ON EMPTY" ON AMAZON!!! CLICK HERE TO GET IT!!!")

I would love to join the party and win! I can't go to the conference 'cuz I didn't write a book. Yet. But I love to read!
ReplyDeleteLove pictures and news from conferences. I'm going to try and get words in, but i have to cut and sew covers for a few chairs, then my butt will be planted.
ReplyDeleteYay - Let the party begin! I'm bouncing back and forth between pulling out an old manuscript and working on it (I'm only a couple of chapters in) or starting a new story that involves a mail order bride, lots of homemade candy, a stunning cowboy and some rambunctious children.
ReplyDeleteDownloaded my copy of your book, Ruthie and posted a link to it on Facebook.
I'm working all weekend writing. Looks ya'll are having a blast!
ReplyDeleteKeep bringin' on the pics. Love to see what I'm missing.
Tina! Love the boa!
ReplyDeleteRuthy, is that a bagel I see in your hot little hand?? Share, please.
Glynna, you look like you fit right into your books!
Cara is lounging...
Sandra took the time to shed her pickleball uniform for a smart outfit befitting one who stay behind from conference.
I won't talk about my own pig herding...Ruthy did say CASUAL photo...
Let the weekend begin, well, almost the weekend. Close enough to count, right?
Love the post and the pics! And would love to win a book (except for yours, Ruthy--I bought it and read it and LOVED it! Oh and downloaded your newest indie, so now I have both of your indies--why am I thinking of Indiana Jones now? *drool*--on Kindle for PC, awaiting me to just sit and read at the laptop...).
ReplyDeleteNot writing these days, but thinking about writing and feeling guilty about not writing. Too much else going on, I suppose. (How's that for an excuse?)
Please throw my name into the cat dish! Thank you, dear lady! :)
A writing weekend sounds splendid... Just have to shoe-horn some writing time in between 4 concerts and being homeless. (But only til next week. Such are the perils of being a full-time RV-er when your bus needs a new radiator. Sigh. But, I digress...)
ReplyDeleteClassic use of the shameless plug, Ruthie. I downloaded it! :) Would you mind if I gave one of my own? I'm giving away a dozen Love Inspired Suspense novels on my blog this week if anyone would like to swing by. http://www.annaweaverbooks.com/1/post/2013/09/rejections-lessons-and-a-12-book-giveaway.html
Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful, productive weekend, whether at the conference or at home. :)
Such fun pics! Looks like you ladies are having a blast!
ReplyDeleteDownloaded the book-Thanks!
hahaha! Ohhhhh, that post totally made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, good words.
I've completely overscheduled myself. My deadlines are mostly my own, but I can't seem to give up quite yet. I still think I can pull a 3 pointer at the buzzer...
I still do, even thought I heard this morning that my in-laws and other assorted family members are coming to visit from Ol' Mexico. Arriving early Sunday. Nothing like a long heads up, right?
Usually, these visits last anywhere from 3 weeks to several months. You don't know the meaning of close family until you meet these people. And there are a LOT of them. I swear my husband has a hundred cousins and second cousins and third cousins. Who will all be traveling from near and far to pay homage to the matriarch and patriarch of this fine family. We're ground zero for the Munoz family (impromptu!) reunion.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. And me drowning beneath multiple (MULTIPLE) deadlines.
But I'm willing, heart and soul and mind, to give it an honest effort. So... here's to words. Editing. Polishing. Smoothing. Crafting. Crying. (Oh, wait, scratch that last one.)
Funny post, lightened my night!
*Waves to Glynna.* Love the plaid!
ReplyDeleteI'll be writing all weekend — I'm on vacation from the day job and want to get most of the first draft done on Book 3 of my Love & Baseball series. I just signed a contract for a completed Book 2, Beauty and the Ballplayer (my 2011 Golden Heart finalist), and Book 3, which isn't much more than a gleam in my eye.
I also have to line up some promo for Book 1, Diva in the Dugout, which comes out in mid-October ... my first sale.
love random drawings Can I please go in the draw for Glynna's and Tina's books I have the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteI also love a party and chocolate. Am starting to feel better than yesterday so am up for a party (well wont be up late but you know what I mean).
I know some Aussies at the conference and at least one has instructions to pass on my best wishes. I get excited for them. Ok I get excited for everyone.
G'day gals!
ReplyDeleteI'm missing the ACFW conference, and really, really missing all the neat friends I made while I was there. *waves to Mary C*
Ruthie, you are so right, er, write! We'll all have the upper hand with all this extra time to write our little hearts out. :)
I look forward to more photos, more updates, and more fun stories--both lived and imagined--to come from all the Seekers and co.
Sure, enter my name in the cat dish. I'd love to win a book. :)
All the best as we write for His glory!
Lucy
I had really hoped I could go to the conference this year but it just wasn't meant to be. Sad since I'm only a couple hours away by car.
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures, thanks for sharing. Also, thank you so much for the free download of RUNNING ON EMPTY. I downloaded it yesterday. :)
Would love to be in the drawing.
It's off to work I go. Have a great day!
Smiles & Blessings,
Cindy W.
countrybear52 AT yahoo DOT com
Thanks to the example of Virginia, you are my quote of the moment today.
ReplyDeleteDO SOMETHING WITH IT.
Already promised to keep a bunch of non-prommers company today and revise like crazy.
You know what non-prom is right? Those of us who didn't get invited. Except I was in the middle of planning our non-prom party when the phone rang and I got an invite. Sigh.
I have ALL the books so no need to put me in!
But if we could put Glynna's plaid in the mix, I'd be up for it.
Thanks for a great Friday post.
Peace, Julie
JOYCE!!! Welcome aboard, matey!!!! You're in and good luck to you and hey... We were all there at one time, so you just hang out and keep writing! Yay for you being here with the stay-at-homes!!!
ReplyDeleteJan, thank you so much, I hope you love that story!!!! (note that I did shamelessly exploit today's blog because I am that kind of person...)
:)
But free is FREE and in my book (pun firmly intended!!!) the price is R-I-G-H-T.
Christina, I love that you guys do reupholstering... I have a lovely old couch that I'm going to have redone because I love it, and back in the day I recovered my own furniture and girlfriend, that's work... But I loved the look once the job was complete! And for a while I would take apart my couch and chairs, WASH THE PIECES and put it back together because I didn't have money for cleaning/replacing. 4 Boys, 2 Girls and a dog or two...
ReplyDeleteAnd farm mud.
I love reupholstering, but then you get right back to that computer, okay? Which story are you working on??????
Jan, I vote new... it always freshens me up to start something new. Not that you asked for my vote, I get that, but come on... you know me, you knew I'd vote, right???? :)
ReplyDeleteAUDRA!!! GO BAIL WATER OR SOMETHING!!!
ReplyDeleteAudra lives in Colorado, outside of Denver in Boulder County.... She's in the thick of the downpour.... So she will definitely be writing this weekend! (Searching for "upside" to torrential rains)
I love the pig pics the most!!! LOVE!!!!
♥♥♥♥♥
And it's not a bagel, it's a piece of cashew brittle VINCE sent me a while back... so the pics a few months old, but hey, it's me!!!
The boa.
Who doesn't love an incognito author in a BOA?????
Lame excuse, Melanie!!! you are in newbie shock right now, girlfriend, and I know life's busy, but really????
ReplyDeleteREALLY??????
You are reading books and having self-doubt but we all do that, sweet thing! Really, truly, it's the nature of the game. Get back in the pool... the water's fine!
And your name is firmly in the CAT DISH!!!!
Okay, I'm giving the Live Link to Anna Weaver's blog where she's giving away 12 Love Inspired suspense novels!!!!
ReplyDeleteAND SHE GOT HER FIRST REJECTION!!! OUR BABY IS GROWING UP!!! :)
Anna Weaver's Giveaway Blog

ReplyDeleteThank you for the downloads and yes, yes, yes, tell your friends on loops, on facebook on twitter.... And tell them they will love this book... and huge thank yous from me for daring to grab it!!!! (of course the price is right as mentioned ad nauseum!!!!)
Abbi, have a great weekend, going to add some pics I got overnight... And dang this conference is lookin' Good!!!! But my word count for the weekend will spur me on!
ARLENE!!!! YOUR FIRST SALE????
ReplyDeleteTELL US MORE WHEN YOU COME UP FOR AIR, SWEET THING!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!
And Mary Virginia my friend, I'm dying laughing here, not really laughing, definitely more DYING because I'd be moving to a hotel and handing over the keys to the house...
That's what I'd WANT TO DO but I understand that adults don't always get what they want...
and self-imposed deadlines ROCK, I do that all the time, it's what keeps me focused, fast and on time or ahead of the game because it's too easy to think you have more time... and time is money.
(for those of you who think that's crass, come on now, you know it's true, and writers have mortgages too... and leaky plumbing... and bad roofs... and sick dogs.... I'm just sayin' that money is a necessity kind of, right????)
:)
Jenny, my sweet, you're in!!!! And so glad you're starting to feel better.
ReplyDeleteYES!!!
Tucking your name into Tina's cat dish (hers is WAY CLEANER than mine, btw)
Like that surprises anyone.
And Glynna's, but her cat is virtual... (non-existent, we pretend a lot here )
:)
Lucy Morgan Jones is in the cat dish(es)!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, we don't rest on our laurels in Seekerville!
We forge on. Move ahead. Embrace life!!!
EMBRACE is my "one word" for this year. I am embracing life with all its glory, its ups and downs and MINIMAL CHOCOLATE...
This is a big Ruthy adjustment.
But it's pumpkin and apple season here, Lucy, so I might mess up yet on the food end, but the writing!!! I love me some writing time!
Cindy W ugh, I know that's disappointing.
ReplyDeleteBut...
We're here for you, girlfriend!!! Raising a mug of GREAT COFFEE in your honor, working girls of America, UNITE!!!!
We're tough. We're solid. We could be PIONEER WOMEN and not go bonkers on the prairie.
That's the kind of person I'm talkin' about. Overcomers.
WAIT!!! MANDISA'S WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA OF "OVERCOMER"!!!
Oh, we should all listen to this song all the time.... it's amazing and the babies love to dance to this!!!!
YES! ONCE AGAIN RUTHY ROCKS THE LIVE LINK WITHOUT LOOKING STUPID!!!!
ReplyDeleteOH, THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE, LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD!!!!
:)
(it's the little things in life that puts us over the top, right????)
Oh I love Glynna's cat thats the sort I need. although I have quite a few in this room.
ReplyDeletetrue most are stuffed, one is wooden and one is stone but hey dont tell them that. Gilly has fooled more than one person into thinking hes real. (just dont tell him hes not real).
Going to have an early night I have learnt blocked sinuses makes you very tired. and I want to read some of Cheryl Wyatts upcoming book.
Non-prom: ♥♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteNew fun term for Ruthy to steal!!!!
Julie, that bites. How did you tell the young man no???
OR DID YOU GO????
I'd have gone. Girlfriend love only goes so far, sistah!!!!
And I'm so glad you're lovin' on the quote!
:)
Thanks for the pics and updates! These are so much fun. Please put my name in the catdish! I love books!
ReplyDeletetscmshupe [at] pemtel [dot] net
I was live from ACFW too but now I'm beginning the long decline into five days on no sleep.
ReplyDeleteHad a great day and evening with Inkie sisters and friends - dinner in the bar and I saw a lot of people milling about in the lobby area. But I've had no Seeker Sightings yet.
We did have a little party in my hotel room to celebrate the birthday of the incredible Anita Mae Draper, so if you all see her today you can wish her a happy birthday a day late!
looking forward to lots of laughs this weekend. Thanks for starting us out Ruthy!
Ruthy posts TWO days in a row??? wow, we must be living right. downloaded the latest and greatest of yours Ruthy. LOVED your first indy too. as you say, the price is right.
ReplyDeletenot that she'll see this, but a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Anita Mae - she's the reason I found Seekerville, so she's got a special place in my heart.
Please put my name in the cat dish, even though I have some of the books. If I win one, I want to send it to my birth mom. Trying to get her hooked on Seeker authors. She loves to read.
Two days in a row of Ruthy. That must be why I've got a big smile here at work. (now I must go, boss is crackin' the whip...)
I ran into HELEN last night on my way up to my room. (Almost literally)
ReplyDeleteI hugged her and kept going. I just had to. I'd been up since just before 4:30 and was barely still moving. I WILL FIND YOU HELEN!!!!!!! NOW THAT MY EYES ARE FULLY OPEN!!!!!!!
Looks like a FUN day as we watch ACFW from the sidelines! I'm busy, busy, with edits for my April 2014 book.
ReplyDeleteAudra, The pig swatting side of you is a side we don't see enough of. I think you need to give us more.
ReplyDeleteI will be writing (and writing and writing).
ReplyDeleteI wil do something with it.
Keep the pics coming.
What fun! I think y'all are having more fun with the horses and pigs!! :) Such cute pics of y'all working.
ReplyDeleteJust got your book, Ruthy! Hope it soars up the list!
Miss all of you and wish you were here.
Hi, ARLENE! So you and Audra like my plaid, do you? When we live in mountain country, we have to dress the part on occasion, right? Is L.L. Bean your best friend, too? :)
ReplyDeleteDid you notice it was down to FORTY degrees Thursday morning? That's one degree away from 30's. I am NOT ready for winter.
When does your first book come out? I can't wait to read it!
Jenny, you enjoy Cheryl's book!!!!! And yes, it makes you tired to fight those infections. Covering you with prayers and not a bit surprised that folks across the globe love you.
ReplyDeleteYou are most lovable!!!
Sally Shupe, you're in!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is soooo much fun!!!! And my little ones are getting ready for bus time... and the leastun's are having fun in the new room!!!! And I'm celebrating a be-at-home wallflower with my buds!!!
Can life get better than that????
I submit that it cannot!!!!
Wheee -- I'm almost as excited about conference as if I was actually there!!!! Alas, yes, that's about as thrilling as my life as been lately so cyber conferencing is a highlight for sure! :-) I'll keep checking back frequently to read the comments and see the pictures. Does ACFW have any official paparazzi? If not I volunteer for the job next year.
ReplyDeleteDon't enter me in the draw because I have all the books -- well, except Fired Up which will be in my hot little hands soon.
I messaged happy birthday to Anita Mae yesterday on Facebook and I'm so glad youse guys made a big deal of it in Indy!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou rock!
And Deb, you are just such a blessing for so many. I hope you know that, I hope you feel that every single day. You are just a straight up wonderful person.
And that's all I'm gonna say about that!
What a fun post! After getting up at 330 am with two screaming grumpy babies, I needed a laugh!
ReplyDeleteEwwww! I can't get the image of mouse sized spider out of my head now. Next time I wake up from screaming, it'll be my own from nightmares. LOL.
Thanks for the amusement this morning.
Let the party begin!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, I am going on vacation right after work tonight. A quick trip to Yellowstone ending up in Deadwood, SD where I'm a presentor at the South Dakota Festival of the Book.
And even though I'm on vacation from my day job, I am NOT on vacation from my writing. I'll have my Surface to edit my book and to work on three short synopsis's to a book series. My editor is interested in a proposal, but she wants a series.
I'm hoping I can still check in each and every morning!
Thanks for the download! Looks like y'all are having lots of fun!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love the pics, (of both the ACFW goers and the rest of us regular ole' folks). And frugal sounds so much better than cheap.
ReplyDeleteWhen you asked about whether we'd like to be dressed to the nines and living it up at ACFW right now, my exact thought before I read any further was "Sure, I'd like it . . . IF SOMEBODY ELSE PAID." But am I willing to spend my own $$$ on it? Not this year.
Actually, Christina and I are both in the same boat, not going to conference because of medical bills. I pray no one else is in that situation. Medical problems for loved ones can make for a really hard year. :-(
Looking forward to more pics as the day progresses . . . and to winning that copy of Fired Up. I'm sure it's sitting there with my name on it, right? Of course, I wouldn't complain about a copy of Falling for the Lawman either.
Oh, and did I mention I stayed up way too late last night reading Running on Empty? Note to self: If you want to get up in the morning and write your own book, DO NOT START READING ONE OF RUTHY'S RIGHT BEFORE BED.
To all of you at conference -- have a wonderful time! I love the pictures, but they sure make me wish I was there too. Next year maybe.
ReplyDeleteRuthy, your great country kitchen really reflects your busy, busy life. It reminds me of Vermont.
I guess I'm glad I have a busy day at school so I won't be so sad missing conference.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to partying here and writing hard this weekend though.
I love looking at all the pictures and hearing about who ran into who. Sounds like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI hope to get some writing done today, but the house really needs some help.
Please put me in the drawing. I love seekerville books :)
I'm sad to not be there but so happy for everyone who is.
ReplyDeleteOh - I LOVE Audra's pig picture. Reminds me of my 4-H days.
Put my name in the cat dish please.
Good morning RUTHY and all,
ReplyDeleteWish I was at ACFW but maybe next year. God has a reason. I too plan to do some writing this weekend. Better than sulking.
NAOMI, I have medical bills too. Sigh. It is never easy.
I would love to be entered in the drawing. I've read a couple of the books already, but that's okay. They make great gifts and I am cheap. Um, frugal.
Kathy Bailey
Harvest is here full bore, so though I would LOVE to be at the conference (no, I have not suddenly decided I'm going to write a novel) Ito meet all the lovely people who write novels just for me, I'll be on the truck today. But I'll have a book along for those moments between unloading the combine and und unloading the truck, and think of all of you! Would love to win, and I'm heading to Amazon now. Thanks

ReplyDeleteLooks like the party is in full swing.
ReplyDeleteIt's the day job for me today, but I'm gonna knock out some words this weekend.
I love seeing all the pictures and tidbits from conference. Please keep 'em coming.
BRIDGETT!!! JOBS!!!! TIME-SOAKERS BUT GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT IS CRUCIAL TO OUR MORTGAGE AND RENT, RIGHT?????
ReplyDelete:)
You come back, we'll be here partying and working all weekend! And it will be fun... and focused... and food.
Hey, speaking of food, I think Fry Cakes from Zarpentine's Farm Market and apple cider are in order....
I'm on it!!
Looks like everyone's having a blast! :-)
ReplyDeleteFun day at Seekerville....please drop my name in that cat dish!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying the conference news and pictures....keep them coming!
I was leasurely reading everyone's posts and missed the first drawings! :-/
ReplyDeleteI'm going straight to Amazon to post my review of Running on Empty. Meant to do it yesterday! I procrastinate therefore I am....
Good Morning, Seekerville!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, out here in the west it's still morning :)
Love the pictures of everybody doing something with what they've got.
What do I have? One day to write, and then hubby is home for the weekend and he has plans for installing the long-awaited shelving in my new pantry (old closet-under-the-stairs). When he's home, the writing just doesn't happen.
So one day. What a glorious thing just jam-packed with possibilities!!
But the big question is, can I get my heroine to let go of the wrong guy so she can marry the right guy? I'm so close to the HEA in this one....
Throw my name in the cat dish!
Fun, fun! No conference for me, but hopefully there will be time to write( my niece and nephews are here, so not likely). Please enter me!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO Tina, haha. Love it and getting to see all the writing friends. I'm at home working hard but cheering all my pals in Indy. =)
ReplyDeleteI already downloaded your new book Ruthy and can't wait to dig in there and get put through the emotional wringer that is one of your stories. LOVE IT! =)
RUTHY, congratulations on your new grandson!

ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm not at conference and I'm getting very little accomplished here.
ReplyDeleteNoooooooo!
Too much sitting in the chair the last few days. Taking daughter to grab a quick lunch and then hoping to write w/a clear mind.
Congrats to the book winners. Feel free to enter me in all contests. I've trying to do more LI reading. Research. Love all of Seekerville authors and books.
I still like the name "Finnian"!
ReplyDeleteDoes he have a rainbow?
KB
Dropping by to say hi everyone!
ReplyDeleteLove these pics and updates!
I'm writing and editing and rewriting against my shortest (semi-self-imposed) deadline ever. Rewriting 1/3 of a 90,000 ms and writing another 1/3rd of it from scratch before Oct 5th. Much-needed changes. Super excited about the direction it's taking. Prayers appreciated.
Praying for all of us writers who are staying home and also those at conference.
I'm pretty sure Finnian has a rainbow!!! Bright, shining and filled with hope!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my stars, Donna, thank you for reading Running on Empty!!! Bless you! And thank you for the review because you know Mr. Amazon likes those reviews!!!!

ReplyDeleteYay! I'm a winner!
ReplyDeleteEveryone have a great day.
I'd love to attend ACFW someday. Happy for all those who are able to go. Thanks for sharing your time there and waiting for more of those great pics. Congrats on the new grandchild and latest release, Ruthy. I posted it to FB. Enjoyed your postings yesterday and today and comments. Trying to get in some time with WIP this weekend. Please put my name in the drawing. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteNatalie, good for you!!! I love that you're diving in and taking charge.
ReplyDeleteI used to be afraid of re-writes when I was new, always wondering if I could do as well... and then realized that adding elements into the basic story strengthened everything.
DUH ON ME!!!!
Courtney, hey there!!! You are entered, and yes, your weekend sounds like my week with grandsons here... You can only do so much, but that's why I wake up at 4:00 AM because there's always someone here...
ReplyDeleteAnd they're so cute!!!
Kav, official papparazzi of the ACFW conference 2014... I'd come just to hang with you!!!!
ReplyDeleteNot to go to classes, mind you, perish the thought!!!!
But to hang with my buds.... That's worth a plane ticket!!!!

woke up to no earache this is a good day! the head is only slightly sore so on the way to recovery. (See the specialist for my wrist Wed).
ReplyDeleteI went to bed and slept and slept well.
I think there was even a cat in one dream.
I am hearing the aussies have found each other at the conference.
Naomi I hear you on medical bills. Thankfully ours are not as high but adding up all I have already spent this year plus loss earnings and what I will need to get the wrist fixed is scary. The alternative is wait 2 years have more loss of earnings and then have a wrist that will never get anywhere near back to normal but get free medical care. Think I would rather pay the cost knowing I can earn it back in those two years.
Im looking forward to some photos of the conference. (im just up im rambling)
RUTHY!!! Sounds like y'all are having WAY too much fun for staying home, girls!!
ReplyDeleteWE MISS YOU GUYS TERRIBLY!!!
But I won't lie ... we're having a LOT of fun too. BUT ... not as much as if you guys were all here.
LOVE the pics, LOVE the blog!!
Hugs,
Julie
Yes, I knew you'd vote, Ruth, and I'm glad you did. That way I don't have to decide for myself. :) New story it is.

ReplyDeleteArlene!! Congrats on the first sale!!! Wow, and 2 & 3 lined up in the dugout : ) Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the random winners, too. Ruthy is on a roll. She's just handing out books to her heart's desire, isn't she?

Pig wranglin', yep, that's what I do, LOL! You should see me herding goats and sorting chickens : )
ReplyDeleteI stopped by the office today just out of morbid curiosity and found the place FLOODED! My 4-H agent and I came in the front door and saw the lake, so we began lifting all the water wilted stuff off the ground. Good thing we decided to go around the building to see how badly things had flooded outside because the water was knee deep up against our back door. We would've really had a mess had we gone out that way!!
Hmmm, let's see how long I can finagle time out of the office now...
Tina, I'll polish your tiara for free, darling, ANY TIME... It is so deserved!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, AUDRA!!!! As long as you're okay, office stuff can be replaced, but ouch, what a mess a flood is. We flooded out when I was a young bride (like 11 years old, don't you know...) :) and it was horrible clean up.
God bless all of you out there. Really, truly, blessings on you and your strength and your sense of faith and humor.
Yes, Jan, you WON!!!! I'm so delighted and the little cat said: "Meow."
Very happily, I might add.
Oh, oh, oh....

I must post a picture of Finn, forget these conferees.... they're cute but FINN is adorable...
Running to get a cute pic!
Rough day at work, thought I'd come home and chill out before hitting the computer only to have my puppy have his life flash before my eyes. He's a jumper and got on the bed went to jump off but ran out of bed and went the other way catching his leg between the mattress and bed post. Scary. But the little guy is resilient and got up, limp three or four steps and then scampered off. Sorry, but I'm just sayin' it wasn't a great end to the day. So I can to the island to chill out.
ReplyDeleteRuthy! Thanks for adding more pictures. Looks like everyone is having fun!
Have a wonderful evening everyone!
Smiles & Blessings,

My goodness - looks like you are having a wonderful time. Great photos. I would love to visit that historical museum. Hope you continue to have great fun.
ReplyDeleteI just loved this post, seeing all the fun pictures of seekers at ACFW. Seekerville is my first stop each day when I go online. As I struggle along in my writing, Seekerville has become my lifeline. I'm adding next year's ACFW conference to my goal list for 2014. On a side note, can someone tell me more about Farm Lit? I've been hearing the term lately and would love a recommendation for a book to get acquainted with the genre. Everyone have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteOoooh and throw me in the cat dish too! Uh...I mean my name lol.
ReplyDeleteYou ladies look like you're having a great time. Enjoy!!!! I wish I could be at the conference, but I'm not an author. I'm a reader that loves your books.

Barbara, we love our readers more than like ANYTHING!!!! You hang out with us anytime you want, kiddo!
ReplyDeleteAnd Tonja!!!! I'm so glad you don't have that one yet, the kitty intimated as much but I wasn't all that sure of how smart she was/is because it is her food dish and she was getting mighty hungry toward the end!!!
