Happy WE everyone! Quick comment/observation...what happened to Monday's post with Mary?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Mary will be along to fill in her Monday winner. You know those cows keep her pretty darn busy!
DeleteThe cows ate her homework!!!!
DeleteLOL, Tina, that was my first hearty chuckle of the morning, so thank you!!
DeleteGod bless Mary! I've certainly forgotten to put my winners in a time or two, and I don't have any cows I can blame it on. :|
Hugs!
Julie
That's as bad of an excuse as the dog ate her homework....lol! I
DeleteBTW, thank you for your service Cara Lynn & Tina! My grandpa served in the Army during WW2 over in Germany, though he made it home. He was awarded the purple heart but I'm not sure for what...never have asked! I'd love to know his history better.
Happy reading/writing weekend everyone!
Poor Mary! That's the kind of thing I'd do.
DeleteHappy Veteran's Day! Have a great reading and writing Weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tina and Cara for your service. Happy Veteran's Day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Yes, thank you both for your service!
DeleteAnother great WE post! Thanks for all the great links!
ReplyDeleteThank you to all the veterans for your service. May you all be blessed on this Veteran's Day.
Blessings,
Cindy W.
Thank you Cara and Tina for your service. Thanks to anyone else who served or served to protect our country. Happy Veterans Day. We did our annual school celebration this week and the kids loved singing patriotic songs. We honored a WW2 vet with a song I wrote several years ago in memory of my dad. Here's the chorus:
ReplyDeleteThey were called the great generation.
They loved this land and nation.
They fought the war of poverty,
And answered the call to keep us free.
Bettie, what a beautiful tribute to those who've served our nation. Thank you so much for sharing it!
DeleteBettie, I agree with Ruthy -- those lyrics are beautiful!!
DeleteAnd SUPER CONGRATS, girlfriend, for winning a character named after you in my upcoming book, For Love of Liberty and a signed e-copy! Just send your name and email to the Seeker address given above, and we'll take care of the rest, okay?
Hugs!!
Julie
Serves or served...corrected comment
ReplyDeleteFrom sea to shining sea... such a great country. So many states, regions, people, filled with amazing diversity between those two great ponds! We are America. We are blessed. We are free. Precious few places on this earth can claim that, so I'm going to celebrate that freedom, possibly with really good cookies and prayer.
ReplyDeleteA mighty combination in Western New York.
Thank you Tina and Cara for your service and to all who've served our nation. Happy Veteran's Day.
ReplyDeleteGod bless your dad, Jill! Thank him for his service. He's a hero!
DeleteHappy Veteran's Day to all who served and to those who currently wear the uniform. God bless you all!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina and Cara, for your service to our nation.
I'm giving a shout out to my father, husband and son...retired veterans who served this great nation of ours. I'm proud of them and proud of the USA!
Hugs to all!
I will echo your shout outs, Debby. Thank you for their time and service, but also for the investment the Giustis have made as a family for this to happen... behind every great man there's a great woman... and when a service person makes military a career, the entire family makes military a career.
DeleteSaluting Cara and Tina! (My Texan grandpa was U.S. Navy, Cara!) And all the many who have served to protect our many freedoms and the freedom of those worldwide.
ReplyDeleteGreat Weekend Edition once again! Will be back to read through and check out the links!
TINA, Happy Veteran's Day! Thank you for your sacrifice! I'm the daughter of a veteran, and today, I salute all who've sacrificed and served this great nation.
ReplyDeleteI lurked more than commented in the past week or two... *a-hem* (I've been on a bit of a social media fast as I write, but I do still check in and add as I can). So fun to see the pics of some of the Seekerville Villagers. :-)
Thank you for all the links to check out - Please toss me in for a copy of Ruthy's new book. Love the title! WHO doesn't want to find a Wishing Bridge???? :-)
RIGHT???? I was so glad when they let me keep the title because this town is so stinkin' adorable... and normal.... kind of. Think Brigadoon without the disappearing act. :)
DeleteSaluting Cara, today, as well! Thank you, Cara, for serving!
ReplyDeleteHappy Veteran's Day to all who have served. Most of the men and women in my family have served. Thank you. And thank you to Tina and Cara.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the winners this weekend. What a great week and looks like more to come. Happy writing everyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great WE and congratulations to the winners. I am looking forward to next week in Seekerville and I am grateful that I have the freedom to visit there. Happy Veterans Day and a special thank you to Cara, Tina, and everyone else who has served!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Connie
Happy Veterans Day.
ReplyDeleteI love the necklaces
I would love a copy of Ruthie's book.
Wilani, I'm tucking you're name into the Wishing Well right now, sweet thing!
DeleteAren't those necklaces the cutest things ever? :)
DeleteHappy weekend all. Special thank you to Tina and Cara for their service and too all our Veterans.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners!
I am settling in for a day of writing. Please toss me in for Ruth's book too :)
Sharee, you're in! I'm working too... revising and hanging with 3 cute grandkids so Mama can have a day off for good behavior! We can write together!
DeleteLet's do it! I've got jasmine tea brewing. Can I send my kids over to Grandma Ruth's too? :)
DeleteGood morning, Seekerville, and happy Veteran's Day! Thinking of my dear #1 grandson, who left recently on his first deployment as a Navy corpsman (all prayers appreciated!).
ReplyDeleteSo many veterans in my family, including my grandfather who served in WWI, an uncle Project Guy never knew because he was killed in WWII, one brother-in-law who served as a corpsman in Viet Nam, and another who retired several years ago as a career Navy man.
Blessings and gratitude to all who have served to protect our freedoms!
Praying for your grandson, Myra! Thank him for his service for us!
DeleteGreat Weekend Edition! Congrats to the Christy Winners! And to our Seekerville winners! Looks like a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cara and Tina, for your service to our country. And to all Vets. Myra, God bless your Navy grandson during his deployment.
Willard, a WWII Vet, is in my exercise class. The area where I live sends Vets on Honor Flights to Washington DC to see the Memorials. Willard went a couple years ago. I admire him for his desire to stay active. Hope to learn more about his service.
Janet
Thank you Cara Lynn and Tina for your service!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners!
Happy Weekend!
Happy Veteran's Day. Thank you Tina and Cara. I'm excited to have won The Engagement Plot. Thank you Krista and Seekerville! :-)
ReplyDeleteHey, guys, when that cute Lizzie Poteet comes to visit next Thursday, she was the wonderful St. Martin's Press editor who worked on a novella collection with me, Mary Connealy and Margaret Brownley last year! My novella "Silent Night, Star-lit Night" was in that collection and why yes... I do Happen to have a LINK TO AMAZON!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI gave a shout out on facebook, but I can toss it in here, too... I have two brothers and a sister who served. Terry was army, Ronnie was an air force captain (a nurse in Vietnam, field hospital in Thailand) and Sean is a marine.
ReplyDeleteDave's brother retired from the army three years ago.
Thank you all!
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY AND HAPPY WEEKEND, ALL!!
ReplyDeleteTina, LOVE the military pix of you and Cara -- THANK YOU for your service!
SOOOOOO fun to see pix of Walt, Piper, & KC!! SUPER CONGRATS to all the Christy winners -- some of my favorite authors: Becky Wade, Tamera Alexander, and Jocelyn Green!!

Ruthy, LOVE the cover to Welcome to Wishing Bridge, and I have no doubt the inside is even better!!
Hugs and more hugs!
Julie
Great advice, Julie! I got my copy of Pam's Promise of Breeze Hill.
DeleteJanet
Julie, thank you.... Me, too! And Pam's Natchez Trace series is one of those that sticks with you, like all of her stories do... with that little bit of cryptic humor that cracks me up because when I first met Pam I thought she was So Serious!!! So it's especially fun to see this side of her bleed through her stories.
DeleteNot like real blood.
That would be gross.
Janet, thank you! :)
DeleteAnd Ruthy, I am serious. Sort of. Most of the time. Maybe. Well, at least we know I'm indecisive. That's a given.
Love the pictures of Walt, Amy, KC and Piper! So glad you all could connect! I'd love to know more about the conference you attended.
ReplyDeleteI do, too, Debby! There's nothing like hooking up in person.
DeleteJanet
God bless you and thank you for your service Tina and Cara Lynn...and a big shoutout to my nephew Brian who served in the Marines and our son David, a Coast Guardsman.
ReplyDeleteRuthy, I love the cover of Welcome to Wishing Bridge! Beautiful!
My friend Gwen and I attended the Art of Writing Conference and the Christy Awards gala. We connected with so many longtime friends. I finally met Walt, and he reminded me I considered his book at Abingdon when I worked there. Hi Walt!
I read most of the Seekerville posts this week, but everytime I started to comment, I was interrupted. Just know I haven't abandoned Seekerville. Love you all!
Congrats to all the winners this week!
Barbara, thank you! I love that cover, too, and they let me have input on it which was really cool. And they have been amazingly wonderful to work with, the entire team.
DeleteThat conference looked great, I'm so glad you were able to go... You're in such a great location, Barbara!!!
Wow 7 weekend editions until Christmas was a wakeup call :)

DeleteAnd thank you so much for helping get the word out, Jackie. It means a lot to me.
Thank you Cara Lynn and Tina, and all veteran families. We salute you!
