ReplyDeleteHave a delightful and delicious holiday weekend.
LOVED your WW story, Tina! Just delightful! Congrats!
DeleteThank you, Myra~
DeleteCongrats to the winners. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Sweet potato casserole is my favorite Thanksgiving food.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great links! Happy weekend!
Tina, the Woman's World Queen, the romance stories was the only thing I read in that when I lived at home and my mom bought that magazine. :) We're counting down to the boy's 7th birthday before we start on the Christmas countdown because the 7th birthday is the biggest bday OF ALL, because that's when our children get a real live sharp pocketknife of their own. The boy has been waiting on this birthday for two whole years!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe'll shoot his eye out! Wait, wrong weapon... My boys loved their knives.
DeleteYou are a brave momma, Melissa!
DeleteThanks for the free download Tina. I love holiday tales. Congrats to the winner this week. We had turkey fried in Olive oil and spices over a salad yesterday. Yum. Today it's time to freeze the leftovers and move on to another protein. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteYUMMMMY!!!
DeleteTina, congratulations on another WW sale!!! I look forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving food is the mashed potatoes...yum.
Thanks for the links!
I'm mashed sweet potatoes myself!
DeleteAnother great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite food at Thanksgiving has always been the stuffing. We went to friends again this year so we had no leftovers...however today we are going to cook a turkey breast with stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce. Haven't decided on the veggie yet so I'd best get busy.
Happy Weekend Everyone!
Blessings,
Cindy W.
Yes. That is the downside of going to someone else's house. NO LEFTOVER RUN AT MIDNIGHT!!
DeleteTina, you are the WWM champion of the world! Do you suppose a belt comes with that like the WWE? lol
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT believe it's Saturday already. Since we went to someone else's house for Thanksgiving, I only brought home enough turkey to make two sandwiches. The only problem is I also brought home one of the pies I made and a half gallon of ice cream. I kind of overestimated how much dessert everyone could eat.
Congratulations to all the winners this week! Have a great weekend!!
Well those checks sure come in handy, I can tell you that!
DeleteTina, congrats on your WW sale, and the offerings of awesome articles to help us to hone our writing skills.
ReplyDeleteVegan here, so I enjoyed the fruit platter I brought to the table, but I also had a taste of some marvelous artichoke dip on a bite of crusty bread! Yum!
Blessings,
Marcia
Fruit! Yes. I had a fruit tart for Thanksgiving instead of pie. It really was a nice, light alternative. With kiwi, strawberries and blueberries. Yum.
DeleteI hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday weekend so far. Congratulations to CatMom and Tina, I am looking forward to your story in the next WW. Thanks for all of the great tips and another great WE.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Happy Thanksgiving back to you, Connie!
DeleteLove the entire Thanksgiving weekend. Leftovers last night for dinner. Turkey sandwiches for lunch today! Yum!
ReplyDeleteFound a number of great gift items at the Black Friday sales. Christmas will soon be here, but I'm still enjoying Thanksgiving!
Congrats to the winners! Congrats to Tina on the WW story and Mistletoe release. Love that cover!
Thank you, Debbie!
DeleteGood morning, Seekerville! Hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving! Weather was beautiful here in the mountains. A delightful family time. And now the Christmas season approacheth!! :)
ReplyDeleteExciting to see many familiar names in Woman's World! Congrats ladies!!
Beautiful weather here as well.
DeleteI have a beloved Corn Casserole recipe that the kids always expect for family feast days.
ReplyDeleteConnealy Corn
Not sure it's my favorite, but I do dearly love it.
1 can creamed corn
1 can whole kernel corn
1 cup macaroni...I use small shells or rings
1 cup diced Velveeta Cheese
1/2 cup diced butter.
Stir together, pour in a greased baking dish. Bake 1/2 at 350 degrees, stir, bake 1/2 hour.
It's a little like macaroni and cheese with corn. Huge hit.
Thanks for the recipe. It sounds wonderful.
DeleteYummmmmy!!!!
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving Weekend, Seekerville!!!
ReplyDeleteWith no family in town, our Thanksgiving was very quiet. Our turkey dinner was Wednesday night at the church supper prior to the annual Thanksgiving worship service--always lovely and inspiring!
We planned a Crockpot pot roast for Thursday, but the package was mislabeled and it was really short ribs!!! Cooked them anyway, and while the Crockpot did its thing, we went to see Wonder. EXCELLENT movie!!! But bring tissues!!!
Yesterday we brought out the Christmas decoration crates and put up our tree, Nativity scene, and outdoor wreaths. A few more things to do today, plus the usual Saturday stuff.
Looking forward to getting back to writing on Monday!
Wonder? Must go look at the previews. I'm excited about the movie GAME NIGHT.
DeleteLook at all those Woman's World stories!!!! Congrats Tina.
ReplyDeleteMary, I love all Thanksgiving food. This year I made Chocolate Ice Box Dessert (I've seen it called Better Than Sex Cake in other recipe books...)
Butternut Squash Casserole is another favorite.
ooooh, Connie. Sounds wonderful. Both of them. I love Butternut Squash soup myself.
DeleteMy favorite is my homemade dressing. Only once a year!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving food is my husband's dressing! Yum! Hope y'all had a great holiday with your loved ones!
ReplyDeleteDressing or stuffing as some say, is my downfall. What's in your hubby's recipe?? Or is it top secret??
DeleteI have a toss up for my favorite sweet potato casserole and stuffing. This book sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY MY DILEMMA, Wilani.
DeleteTina! Congratulations on another WW story!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to Cat Mom!
Looking forward to checking out the links later. Thanks to all who shared.
Have a lovely weekend. Safe travels to those of you headed home.
Nancy C
I love stuffing, but as I sit here and think about it, I guess I'm pretty picky about it too, since sage doesn't agree with me (though it tastes good), I much prefer my stuffing dry to mushy, and I've never been fond of the gizzards that Grandma 'sneaks' into it (as if they can be hidden. Right.) Yet stuffing really is my favorite part of the meal.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I'm looking forward to all the McClellan/Reeves/Harden/etc stories all in one place!
Congrats to all and I love dressing and cranberry sauce mixed together.
ReplyDeleteNow, that's an interesting combo~
DeleteHappy Weekend, my Friends!!
ReplyDeleteSOOO excited to win Mary Vee's book!! Thank you!!
Tina, cannot wait to read your newest WW story---oh my, you're the WW Queen!
Everyone have a delightful Saturday! I'm getting ready to welcome one of my out-of-state kiddos for a bit---YAY!! :)
Hugs, Patti Jo
Aw, thanks, Patti Jo!
DeleteCongratulations to our winners! And to Tina on her soon to arrive WW story and for her inclusion in the Mega Book blog promo with "Under the Mistletoe!" I got my copy!
ReplyDeletePicking one favorite food of Thanksgiving is impossible. Though it's usually the only time that I get stuffing and pumpkin pie. Oh, and green bean casserole and turkey. And corn pudding and jello salad. LOL These foods aren't part of our usual diet, but I love them all.
Anyone else brave the stores yesterday on Black Friday?
We're putting up a Christmas tree and watching IU play it's rival Purdue in the Old Oaken Bucket game. We're now a family divided with our grandson attending Purdue. Just makes it more fun!
The sun is shining and it's warm, as it's been all weekend. Loving it!
Happy Weekend!
Janet
I think we’ve officially finished our decorating for Christmas. Project Guy, of course, had the Ohio State/Michigan game on in the background. He’s happy his team won.
DeleteMyra, I know Project Guy is happy. Our team lost. We've won four years in a row and PU hasn't gone to a bowl game since 2012 so I tell myself they needed it worse than we did. ;-) Actually Purdue played better.
DeleteJanet
Gleeps! You're counting down to Christmas already?! I like the mug...very clever. Etsy is a fun place to find bookish things. Happy recovering after Thanksgiving weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt kills me too, Kav. The guy at the post office asked me if I had all my Christmas shopping done. SERIOUSLY????
DeleteCongrats to the winners! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving food is pumpkin pie. I love Mary's books so thanks for the chance to win The Calico and Cowboys Romance Collection.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite food is the Turkey, and crispy skin mmmm hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving💖 Thank you for the chance!
ReplyDeleteNicole Hirschman Burris idk why my profile didn't come up, Wayne Nebraska
DeleteWe love Nebraskans around here. Welcome to Seekerville, Nicole.
DeleteI love the cover of your new book, Mary!!!! Enter me in your drawing, please :)
ReplyDeleteJust Posted a Review of "Under The Mistletoe" on Amazon….
ReplyDeleteFriends to Lovers…Classic twist ending…a bit of "It's a Wonderful Life"…but best of all: it involves the 1958 Yankees and even Ruth has not done that! I went to many of those games that season. Even caught a baseball hit by Hank Bauer (in the $3.50 box seats!). Hank was a genuine war hero and World Series record holder. I really get this story.
Of course, this wonderful book is my choice for the Best Christmas Novella of the Season!
Get it now!
Aw, thank you, Vince.
DeleteWhoohoo, picked up Tina's book!! Thank you so much :-) Happy WE everyone. Hoping you guys had a blessed Thanksgiving. It was a quiet affair at out house this year. We usually go up to my sister-in-laws, but things just didn't work out this year (such a bummer)!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving dish is my homemade giblet stuffing and from scratch pumpkin pies (fresh sugar pie pumpkins). But really, how can you forget the mashed potatoes and gravy, scalloped corn or the yummy turkey? Thank you for the chance to win Mary Connealy's book "The Calico's & Cowboys Romance Collection"! Love her stories :-)
Here's to another great week on Seekerville.
Now I'm starving, Trixi!
DeleteTina, congrats on your latest WW story! Just snagged a copy of Under the Mistletoe. Vince's review has me eager to read it.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the coming week. Must remember to stop by on Tuesday when talk turns to more mature heroines. I look forward to reading the comments that day and finding out what other readers think about leading ladies who've lived a bit more of life. (Notice how I tactfully avoided the word older? And how I referred to my new role as reader rather than my former one as writer? :-)
My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing. My grandmother's was the best, but I settle for Stove Top since I'm not half the cook she was.
I can cook all those fancy stuffings and such but is it worth the time? I made Turkey Tetrazzi yesterday. TWO HOURS TO PREPARE. Egads. Yes it was delish, but seriously, I will probably opt for Stauffers next time. I am such a wimp.
DeleteAs much as I love the desserts, my favorite Thanksgiving food is cornbread dressing. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI am torn between cornbread stuffing and sausage stuffing!
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving! My favorite Thanksgiving food is sweet potato casserole but it didn't happen this year. Maybe for Christmas though. Please enter me in the drawing to win a copy of Mary Connealy's The Calico & Cowboys. Merry Early Christmas too :)
ReplyDeleteI loved The 12 Steps of the Turkey Hero’s Journey (The Write Practice). Too cute!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteWonderful WE ~ congrats to all the winners and YAY for K-9 units, coming right up tomorrow!!
I can't believe it's so close to Christmas. But Thanksgiving is past, the tree is up, and the carols have been blaring across the radio. Christmas is coming whether I'm ready or not.
ReplyDeleteThis was such a great week since I had the whole week off work! Took an impromptu trip to San Francisco with my husband, went beach camping for a couple days with our girls, had Thanksgiving dinner with my 91 year old grandma, and found awesome deals shopping on Black Friday! During and in between I was able to read a ton of books, so now I have a bunch of reviews to catch up on :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving food is the turkey and pumpkin pie a la mode! Looking forward to Mary's new collection!
Only 5 weekend editions until Christmas?! Yikes.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. My husband introduced me to a wonderful dish, years ago, called Cinnamon Apples, and it's one of my favorite foods of Thanksgiving and Christmas. And I love leftover turkey sandwiches, so I was happy we had enough turkey leftovers for a couple of them.
It's not exactly Thanksgiving dish...but I love it anyway :) It's "Napoleon" cake - so delicious!
