The Weekend Edition

If you are not familiar with our giveaway rules, take a minute to read them here. It keeps us all happy! All winners should send their name, address, and phone number to claim prizes. Send to Seekers@Seekerville.net

From the last Weekend Edition Marcia, Patti Jo, Valri and Cindy Regnier are the winners of Glynna Kaye's upcoming release, Mountain Country Cowboy! You can preorder your copy here.

Tuesday: Mary Connealy was your hostess, talking about writing during challenging times. Jill Weatherholt is the winner of Too Far Down. And because all the stories of struggles broke my heart, Angela is the bonus winner of a second copy of Too Far Down. Mary does not have authors copies yet but she will get them sent out as soon as possible.

Wednesday: Villager Annie Hemby shared her post, "What's Hiding Under Your Bed?" Sally Shupe, Jackie Layton and DebH the winners of her debut Love Inspired release, Healing His Widowed Heart.

Thursday:  Seekerville Contest Diva Angie Dicken joined us today with her post, "From Contest Diva to Published Author." Barbara Fox is the winner of Angie's debut Love Inspired Historical release, The Outlaw’s Second Chance!

Monday: Thanks to our Villagers for special requesting that Karen Sargent visit us here in Seekerville. She graciously agreed, so do stop by for Karen's post, "The Enticement of First Lines." You could win a copy of Waiting for Butterflies.

Tuesday: Myra Johnson brings you "Tips & Tricks for Tracking Series Details." It's challenging enough keeping track of the important stuff in a single novel, but when you're writing a series, there's a lot more to staying organized. Chime in with your thoughts for a chance to win your choice of any of Myra's books in print, including her latest, Her Hill Country Cowboy.

Wednesday: Join Tyndale House author Heidi Chiavaroli when she shares the similarities between her decade-long pursuit to publication and her marathon-training experience in her blog entitled, "How My Journey To Publication Was Like Running A Marathon." Readers and writers will be encouraged to persevere in pursuing their dreams PLUS have a chance to win Heidi's new release, Freedom's Ring.

Thursday: Swing by and chat it up with Ruthy Logan Herne as she talks about the positives and negatives of writing holiday stories. Does the time frame help or hinder sales? Does it draw in readers? Is it worth your while?  And to entice you further, Ruthy has copies of her 20th Love Inspired The Lawman's Yuletide Baby to give away! And eggnog!

Friday: The Best of the Archives featuring a classic post from our ten years of blogging. Comments are closed on Fridays to catch up on reading and writing.

  2. Winners, congratulations! What a fun thing that is, I love winning things... but even more than that, I love giving things away. SO FUN!!!!

What a crazy weekend coming up for so many... a wretched storm to recover from for so many, and another barreling down on Florida and points south as we wait and watch...

God bless all in the storm's path. Bless the responders, those who can't get away and those who have no funds to get away or places to go. May our grace and faith reach out to those displaced, and those hurt, injured or damaged...

You are all in my/our prayers.

And I'll feel a little inane talking about holiday stuff in the wake of the storm, but it's SEPTEMBER... and chilly nights here in the north... so holiday stories are hitting the shelves in the next few weeks!

    And so it goes...

Praying for all in the path of the storms and fires.

I apparently was writing a children's story in my sleep so as soon as I can this morning I need to write it down so I won't forget. It is crazy when I dream this way.

  8. Good morning, Seekerville! We've been closely monitoring the Irma situation, and at present it looks like it will be tracking west of us. We could still get some high winds and heavy rain, but not the direct hit we were concerned about.

Still, praying for everyone who has been or will be affected. This has been a devastating summer and fall with hurricanes, wildfires, and other disasters. Stay safe, everyone!

    2. LOL, Jackie, I completely forgot about that song, so I had to go listen to it online! It charted at #5 on Billboard Hot 100 in September 1970, so trust me, girlfriend, that doesn't show much age as far as this girl is concerned! ;)

      HUGS!!

It's gorgeous here in my corner of the Midwest. Sunny, on the cool side for this early in September.

I'm praying for everyone in Irma's path! I have many friends there and have spent lots of time on the West coast beaches. Praying for God to extend His hand and weaken the storm.

  17. Happy Weekend to everyone. Praying for everyone in the path of the storms.

I had to check out the link to the Ireland writer's tour. How fun that would be. When I was in college, I took a month-long study trip to Ireland. We studied and visited places associated with Yeats and Joyce, among others. It was a combined English-Sociology trip. It was a great trip. I want to go back to Ireland so bad.

I'm not having the greatest Saturday. I am recovering from my cold and the meds are messing with my sleep. I hardly slept at all last night, then tried to sleep this morning. Now I have to go to work at the book store tonight. Hopefully will get back on track with life.

  24. Congrats to all you winners. And thanks, Tina, for another WE. The links ... there's so much good info there. Very interesting about time personality. Having a heroine and hero with widely divergent time personalities could make for a bunch of conflict.

Take care ... and take care of others ;-)

Y'all stay safe if you're in the line of the storm. We're stocked up on foods we can eat without electricity. And have lots of bottled water. We'd appreciate prayers for the Atlanta area. I'm most worried about downed trees.
